Whoa! First off, I'm a registered Republican, though I'm strongly considering changing this... Bush does well in situations where he is delivering a prepared speech or in prepared question "debates", like an actor doing lines. But he fails miserably EVERY time, when speaking from the hip, due to his rather lackluster intelligence. (please don't try the Ivy League grad angle, as it was obviously bought and paid for...even last night he said "nukular" :lol Back when Bush Jr. was first a candidate in 2000, I knew this man was the WRONG person to represent Republicans, and indeed our nation to the world, and I voted Gore. Since then, Bush has exceeded even my most dire expectations, as he's made America go from feared and respected in the world, to hated and reviled in the world.

Whether on content, or basic debating skill, Bush blew it last night....

You do not sound like a "registered Republican" but I take your word, as to you changing your mind in what party you want to be in, it is your right, you can do it if you want to, this is why we are in a free country. Anyway, i changed my statement on the last post of mine, the one that you quoted.

About the US being hated in these last 4 years more than ever before, that's bs, many, if not most Europeans have hated the US for a long time, in the 80s while i was living in Europe, for 10 years, i was a witness to this. Many Europeans do not like the US and would use any excuse just to bash the US and any administration. The hate and revile has been felt throughout the world longer than the last 4 years...

LATEST NEWS - REPORTS FROM AFTER THE DEBATE
1. Chicago Sun Times - Kerry Helped Himself
Bloomberg - Kerry Wins
Newsday
Indianapolis Star - Kerry gets the nod
The Daily - Kerry Comes Out on top
San Francisco Chronicle - Debaters Clash
Capitol hill Blue - Early Polls Say Kerry
VoiceofAmerica - Both sides claiming victory

On the first report- Kerry Helped Himself I agree with the statement in the sense that Bush has been ahead in the polls and perhaps over confidence on proving Kerry as flip-flooper did not come the way he wanted too.

Kerry on the other hand was under a lot of pressure to prove that he can be a strong leader and that over shadowed some of what bush had in his agenda for the debate that make he looks like he helped himself.

Bloomber-Kerry wins- The main issue on the Iraqi war was the main course of the night, while Bush defended his reason of going into Iraq, he was taken over by Kerry issues on how the war has not come out the way Bush expected, Kerry took advantage of this point, and he came as a winner.

Newsday-Again the war in Iraq, and the way the war has turn out to be, Kerry made Bush look like he did not have an idea that Iraq was going to be such a hard place too win, the problem here was that Bush kept to much in the offensive while Kerry was more in the attacking, made Kerry seems like a winner.

The Daily-Again the flip-flop affair that the Bush campaign wanted to bring on during the debate was over shadow, Bush could not prove Kerry to be the self-contradictory senator. Kerry had a good strong start and that made all the difference.

The Indianapolis Star-Again it points out the way Kerry show to be very good and very articulated.while bush show to be sometimes out of track and with not plan.

The San Francisco Cronicle-In this Article it brings the Issue of bin-laden, he gets back at bush for making a “Colossal error of Judgement” when he dropped the bin-laden agenda and invaded Iraq and went after bin-laden. Also it points out the decision Kerry has made that were not right and admitted to them while the decisions the president has made have cost this country more that the ones Kerry has made in comparison. And again the way in which the president seems to be in the defensive was a major factor in the debate.

Capitol Hill blues-In this article it gives comments on Bush winning some arguments and he did, but again while Kerry show to be articulate and coherent Bush was in the defensive taking away some of the good points he made during the debate.

Voice Of America-In this review it gives both candidates fair points of the issues, pointing that while Kerry tells Bush that he does not have a clue as what is going on in Iraq, Bush points out that he gets the reports first hand.

Both Candidates make good points on the issues but the center stage was Iraq, bin-laden and the safety of the country.

2004 :
Bush Blows Debate: Talks to Rove in Earpiece!
9 comment(s).
During the Presidential Debate Bush made what may be his most costly error- he exposed that he’s using an earpiece to help him answer debate questions. In the middle of an answer bush said, "now let me finish" as if someone was interrupting him - yet nobody did - he was talking to the person in his earpiece.

Listen to the mp3 yourself- or watch the video at c-span
rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/project/c04/c04093004_debate1.rm
ffwd to 40 min 30 sec

There is an mp3 with the audio at NYC indymedia

I’ve been thinking for years that we need something major to blow this scam wide open, like Bush exposing himself on national tv. Last night he did just that.

The ’let me finish’ quip was clearly bush talking to someone (probably Rove) in his earpiece- saying ’let me finish’ (before you give me the next answer). He blows it 60 seconds into his 90 second reply- so no warning lights had gone off and the moderator had not motioned for him to end as there was plenty of time left.

There is really no other plausible explanation for this huge blunder- who was he telling to ’let him finish’? The voices in his head? Is he talking to God again? Shouldn’t this be enough to warrant a major investigation of some sort- bush is so incompetent he needs an earpiece to speak in public! The entire Bush regime is a house of cards- let this be the first card pulled from the bottom tier - send this fool and his evil cabal to the ICC for War Crimes.

This info has been sent to the Kerry campaign, will they do anything with it? If it were Kerry’s blunder, you know Bush’s team would be all over him. If Kerry won’t do the same, one must ask- why not?

Well we already have weapons of mass destruction here in the US and the reason most of the third world country had them is because US in the past sold the technology to these other countries that sold it to third world countries.

I guess you are right, I forgot that in order to dominate the rest of the world US needs to show itself as better in technology.

After all that is what our country wants to achieve world domination. Right?

We don't want peace at all hummmmm

Not matter what you said or I said our "leaders" are going to do whatever comes of their arses and whatever is running the show behind closed doors.

The true meaning of democracy and "for the people and by the people" has lost his power long time ago. It was taken away by the big corporations.

We are here posting in our desperation and I am glad that sites like this one is out there so we can still show that we have freedom of speech.

We can insult, call each other names and do meaningless debates that we think it matters to us as individuals, but in the end we are nothing to the government or politicians alike we are nothing that the subject of their power.

So you can take my littler analysis of the news links and brake it apart take what you want and throw away what you don’t like, if it make you happier, after all is your freedom of choice and so far we still have one.
