You heard me right. Tonight on my local news, WRBL, they ran a story about two huge meteors entering Earth's atmosphere. The thing about this is the videos showed two huge rocks but they were photographed and videotaped using everyday handheld devices. The huge problem is I can't find the source, so I am asking you, ats, to help me. I will be up awhile hunting, and I hope we all can find this source. Good Luck.

After that huge CME yesterday, I wouldn't doubt it. Hopefully someone can find information on it because I haven't heard about it. Be nice to see if anyone can find the video.

I know of one 10m asteroid that should miss us today. Not too much to worry about if it doesn't. I don't know about a second one though. I'd ignore the videos incidentally, there's no way you'd capture them on hand held devices, I'd say it was just a bit of artistic licence.

Well, there's nothing on yahoo about it. Only one on yahoo are the ones from previous years and they talk about supposedly going to hit on Dec. 21, 2012. But, that's it.

One I saw in the video could clearly be seen from earth breaking into massive chunks.

Go in your history and find the link to the video. Geesh, won't take but a few minutes.

It wouldn't break up until it entered the atmosphere. I work in TV and some researchers do get a little bit carried away in the stock shot library.

If they were recorded with handheld devices, they already entered the atmosphere, and if there are no reports of impacts, they burned.

It was a local news station that I was watching it on, live without a recording device going.

Apparently it broke up in the atmosphere. Footage was a bit numbing to me at the time though.
