With almost nothing at stake, Mitt Romney easily won primary contests Tuesday in Nebraska and Oregon, edging closer to formally clinching the GOP presidential nomination. According to the Associated Press, Romney remained 171 delegates short of the 1,144 needed to clinch the nomination.

Romney did not win any delegates. The delegates are still to be chosen. The intent behind the primaries would presumably be to measure the will of the people but it is clear that the establishment does not follow that reason. The actual reason for the primaries is to give the illusion of participation. Nevada is a perfect example, when the national party disagrees with the state party it will just form a second state shadow-party to do its bidding. WE have no representation. The parties have representation. That is why Republicans are tax and spend liberals and Democrats are war-mongering conservatives. Tax, Spend, War = Downfall. I seriously doubt any of us voted for a collapse of civilization but its coming.

Primaries are over. Although it is kind of funny to see that people who dropped out of the race are still beating Paul. I guess it is a good thing he quit bothering to try and win any states votes, it was just getting embarrassing.

Ah so now the primaries do not matter, since Paul says it it must be truth!

Having first hand experience being involved in the conventions I can say for a fact that the primaries are absolutely pointless to those involved. You could vote for whomever you wanted - it will not matter in the primaries. They will appoint whom they want to appoint.

If you have alternative evidence - please let us know. It has nothing to do with Paul - Paul just makes it apparent because he's a wrench in the machine.
