U.N. Human Rights Advocates Urge G8 to Take Up ‘Robin Hood Tax’ on Wealthy Nations
By Patrick Goodenough

As if anybody needs more taxes. And more tax Theft and more Corruption

Now a group of U.N. human rights experts are suggesting a world wide tax on international financial transactions.

They claim that it will help an array of things (including their own personal bailouts !)

(CNSNews.com) – Ahead of the G8 summit in Camp David on Friday, a group of United Nations human rights “experts” are throwing their weight behind a longstanding campaign for a so-called “Robin Hood tax” on international financial transactions.

In a statement issued in Geneva – home to the U.N.’s human rights apparatus – the five called the financial transaction tax (FTT) a way “to offset the costs of the enduring economic, financial, fuel, climate and food crises, and to protect basic human rights.”

Sounds like a plan that will line the pockets of many International Thieves too ....

But they forgot to tell us THAT as usual ...

It would provide “a pragmatic tool for providing the means for governments to protect and fulfill the human rights of their people,” they said.

“The FTT is an opportunity for governments to move beyond rhetoric in their commitments to sustainable development, and to give flesh to their noble pronouncements of solidarity,” said one of the five, Virginia Dandan, whose title is “independent expert on human rights and international solidarity.”

Even some U.S. politicians have been suggesting this

In the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif.) last year introduced legislation calling for a 0.005 percent tax on currency transactions, which would used for child care assistance in the U.S., global health programs directed at fighting HIV/Aids, tuberculosis and other health needs in developing countries, global “climate change adaptation and mitigation,” and U.S. deficit reduction.

The Investing in our Future Act (H.R. 5755), was referred to the Foreign Affairs and Ways and Means committees.
Looks like they want us to "invest" in the International criminals' futures too !

Corruption Incorporated is going NWO at last !!

Let's not forget that from the opposite point of view Robin Hood was a marauding bandit who took what did not belong to him and probably didn't give as much back as he lead people to believe.

You know the entire worlds monetary system is a complete loss of everything because those who run it, control everyone else.

If only money value could not be manipulated.

Imagine- a world with sound money is a world with more oportunity if you ask me.

This whole Robin Hood theme- is really the small picture.

If a person can actually keep what they make in a prosperous economy instead of being forced to give it to buddies/buisness partners(corps) of corrupt politicians, then wouldnt that help balance out the class warfare currently taking place?

Actually passing a budget would be a nice start. Maybe balancing out the old checkbooks could be loads of fun.
Maybe even take a march down to the gold rooms and taking some inventory- that may just do a lot.
And not only should this be done on a national level- but a global one. Anyone who uses currency printed by the same crooks. The Fed Res.

or... we can continue the Global Charade- and keep acting as if everything is just going to get better without any change in behaviour. We can lift our noses high and march to the end like a bunch of proud, dumb
asses(donkeys)that we are. hee haw.

if money made from labour is taxed,
why shouldnt money made from trading be taxed?

are you saying only labour should be taxed and finacial gains from financial products shouldnt be?

if so you are saying there is two classes of people, those who work for a living and those who "change money" for a living,
and that the money changers should be free from paying their fair share?

if so i suspect you dont understand what the hell you are talking about.

fear mongering is your favourite thing to do is it?
deny ignorence or at the very least stop spreading ignorence.

I wonder if the democrats know of any tax that they do not like. Hey, UN and democrats, you haven't taxed us for the air we breath yet. Probably should make everyone pay tax just because they are alive and live on the Earth. NOT!

Of course all they want to do is take money from one group and get some for themselves. As far as defining who is rich, then subtract all liabilities and expenses from income generated and I bet the US and many European countries will be considered bankrupt. That may only leave China. Good luck trying to steal money from the Chinese.

The biggest problem is that we assume that this "extra money" is going to go where we intend it to fo when we first tax said people. Just like the taxes from the lotto, in my state, was supposed to be for education. So they dump it in the general fund and keep telling the teachers: "Sorry, we're out of money!"

You Completely missed the point.

It's all about the money they want to steal, not use for a good purpose.

And, all profits and losses from trading are on tax returns.

The only one who doesnt know what the hell they are talking about is you. This is already taxed. This group wants wealth redistribution. Let's say you transfer money from a bank in one country to a bank in another country. OH! You made a transaction, give me some of your money now. You owe your friend some money, and wire money internationally to pay him back. Financial transaction has occured, give me some money.

What exactly is their definition of applicable financial transactions. And why should I be giving my money who did nothing to earn it, in a completely different country.

If you want to pay taxes to countries in Africa on money you make in the US be my guest. I'll pass.
