She was addressing groups of human rights and “civil society” activists at the State Dept.

She had a lot to say, but I think she had her fingers crossed behind her back as she spoke

(CNSNews.com) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, told an assemblage of human rights and “civil society” activists gathered at the State Department Wednesday that “government cannot and should not” control the lives of individuals.

“(T)o make the case for civil society is really quite simple because government cannot and should not control any individual’s life – tell you what to do, what not to do,” Clinton said, taking part in a “Global Dialogue of Civil Society.”

Clinton said that any “sustainable society” must have three “legs” to stand on: an accountable government, a free-market economy, and civil society.

Thanks for starting this. I don't see enough threads that really focus on Hillary Clinton- and we really need to get the truth out about her. She's without a doubt one of the worst and most dangerous people on the political scene.

I watched a PBS documentary on the Clintons from the early days...gotta say, she sure as hell isnt in it for Bill, or the nation.

Oh Hillary... a walking contradiction.. Just look at the UN's latest interest in our domestic affairs. Then consider the teaming up with the UN, The Responsibility to Protect Group and the International Crisis Group. They are all hell bent on controlling everyone's life under the guise of civic responsibility with a hidden agenda to conquer.... She is so full of !@#$

That one made me spit coffee on the computer screen. I could just visualize 50 uninvited representatives of State traipsing around my tiny house and yard, planning ways to "improve" my life....

She's always believed that.

They all do. Every politician believes that government should not control individuals............when it helps their cause.

The two major parties for all of my life and all of my parents life have done this.

One party says government should stay out of your bedroom.
The other party says government should stay out of your wallet.

The former party is all for ransacking your wallet however and the latter just loves regulating your bedroom.

These are the just the two most superficial examples. Of course when you get down to it both want to ransack your wallet, both ultimately want to regulate your bedroom (and every other room in your house). They just claim different reasons for their tyrannical actions and the public is so damn stupid they cant get past the desire to screw the "other team" so they just go on screwing themselves.

Hillary absolutely believes what she says. She doesnt mean what you would expect a statement like that to mean.

Can't stop laughing oh damn what's that? The government knocked on my door and told me i was using the wrong light bulb.

Next day they stopped by and told to i was too fat and said lay off the salt and transfats

Week later they said neo you can't own that gun damn neo that gun holds too many bullets etc.

I agree with Hillary, when it comes to personal life we should maximize personal freedoms. Now I'm trying to understand the OP, what is wrong with Hillary saying this? Do you feel she is being a hypocrite? If she is, in what way?
