Heres the problem with your argument: I never claimed we were "doomed". I claimed we are not in balance with our planet. We are destroying it. We consume at a rate that is far above the rate at which we create, and EVERY SINGLE THING WE CREATE comes from the mother earth. EVERY. SINGLE. THING.

So again, explain to me why it is a good idea, when we cant even live in harmony with our planet, to spread beyond it?

Obviously we shouldn't destroy one ecosystem and move to another. Thats just stupidity and its impractical. But you expand outwards as you need to. I really see nothing wrong with humanity becoming multi planet and eventually intergalactic as we grow.

There isn't any need to curb people. How many potential Einstein's perished in Chinese dying rooms due to the one Child policy? What was lost?

With better energy tech and with advances in agriculture there is more than enough capacity for all of us and a lot more. We just cant have a whole planet stuck in the technology of the last 100 years, living as we do now.

Unfortunately the people who are most against the technologies that would allow cleaner ways to support bigger populations are the same people insisting that people must be curbed. Thats because its a dogma. The people must be curbed mantra is the tail that wags the dog.

I've no objection to taking care of the environment for I have no wish for humanity to set fire to its lifeboat. I can see us engineering a future where many more of us could live well on this planet without destroying it. The current green movement with its people are vermin mentality is not helpful.

Wait a minute! They willfully tell people they will dispose of garbage. They are supposedly recycling plastic. Yet, no, they throw it into the ocean with needles that have God only knows what kind of diseases on them!! Do you not have trash pickup at your house? Yes, you do. They are supposedly disposing of it. Yeah, they are "disposing" of it alright.

I agree that people don't need to be having babies left and right but once you are born into this world, you got here fair and square.

has anyone noticed that we are not really taught much about why this thinking makes sense? i mean, sure... there is planned parenthood and sex ed, but you know it's not going to go into all these details about what is happening to this planet. what they REALLY don't want, is more of the rebellious on the street. they actually want the middle class breeding like rabbits. They have to have soldiers for war who have been indoctrinated with the so called stable American dream mindset. What they don't want is OTHER CULTURES breeding like rabbits. This is why the Vatican won't support contraception. It needs pawns and wants to see the world reflect their own faces.

Now having said that... AFTER ww3, then yeah, this conspiracy might be dead on the mark... but right now they really aren't doing much about it. Right now, the plan is a little different. Certain things have to fall into place first. that is why hey are not shoving this "you can't reproduce" dogma down our throats. they really aren't that concerned about the planet... unless of course you are talking about some other culture polluting it, then yeah.
