The World With No America?.....

actually, i think england, spain, china and japan would be the largest powers. if we didn't break off from england, they would've conquered the 'new world' war would break out between france in canada, spain in mexico, and english in the america area. i belive spain would win this war, merely because they had more control over the seas then and could control the shipping lanes. i do belive that while the war was being fought over in america, spain would've invaded the english motherland. dunno about france. after that, or meanwhile, there would be things going on in asia. i belive that china would try to invade japan after a war with korea. this would bring japan out of isolationism. they would build a vast empire throughout china and mongolia, and maybe even push into russia. after they go into this area, they'll drive the english out of india and maybe australia. i think that'd be the time when each would build within it's own empire, and maybe some of it would break apart. either way, it'd degenerate into all the broken areas fighting each other and a second age of fuedilism

Spain beat England in a sea war????????????? England had the best navy at the time up to like wwII. I england would have been really powerful with there many settlments all across the globe. remember the phrase "the sun never sets on the English Empire." They focused alot on america and lost many troops and couldnt enforce there other settlemnts as thourghly.The English Navy would have conquered Japan. And if they wnated to but doubt they would press China on 2 fronts. but pheonix undoubtedly England had the best navy att he time of the Colonies

You really can't play the what if game. Way too many factors involved. Who is to say Japan would have become anything? It was America who first started trading with them and opened up their society. Spain at one point tried to invade England but failed miserably. After spending practically their entire fortune on the Spanish Armada, it was destroyed by the English rather easily and was one of the reasons why Spain diminished as a superpower.

Falcon Russia would have simply said, "Yeah sure whatever." Blasted their bomb and then say, "Come get us you Capitalist Swine".

Your method makes America look to be the bad guy.

The method we handled it showed the History, (Note: Not the world because people of our time are still illusioned, 1000 years from now...), America is the Light, and no nation so "Enlightened" will walk upon this Earth again.

America, like any empire in the past, has been hated. This is the fate of any great empire, because of its size, well being of the citizens, and general power, they are doomed to be despised, simply because they are out in the open. Its easy to hate whats big and powerful, that is always the poise of the smaller, weaker, more insignifigant. We once were like that too, thinking of the Europeans as war mongering pompous morons destined to destroy the world, back when we were still a backwaters blooming nation.

America has done some evil twisted stuff in its time as a super power. It continues to do very bad stuff that is motivated by greed and power. Tell me, what power HASNT? Can u name any nation or tribe in history that hasnt engaged in bloodshed, conquest, and expansion? Name one! U cant! The Indians? Hell no! They were engaged in small fratricidal wars before whitemen even thought of anything across the Atlantic! hell, tibes to this day still refuse to speak to each other because of slights and offenses in the recent and far off past! Look at Rome! The British Empire! Ask anyone of the older Eastern europeans what they thought of life under the Russians: they will use the same adjectives many use to describe the US now.

As far as a superpower goes, we have been alot more benevolent than our predecessors of the past. Unlike the Romans, we dont require leader worship, or fill our cities with idols of our leaders, unless they are dead, and did great things. We may invade countries under the pretense of self defense or policing, but do we stick around and crush anyone who hates us in a very brutal manner? Do we force these countries to pay homage? people bitch about US companies going to third world nations and exploiting them. Guess what! The third world has JOBS. JOBS that Americans now lost. They may be making 2 bucks an hour. So? In some countries, thats a small fortune! And while these people are getting "exploited" Joe Q Yankee is now unemployed. Hed love to have his old job back, but he cant support his family on 2 bucks an hour. But no, no one cares about him, dumb, fat, stupid, self satisfied yank that he is!

Good points on what if. What would happen? From thier own histories, we can rest assure, if america werent around, Europe would still be under the rule of monarchs. It was the American revolution that inspired many people to realize that rule by inheritance wasnt such a great idea. other powers? By god, every country around today has a long drawn out history of war mingering, bloodshed, and conquest and greed that dwarfs anything wed ever do.

We developed the nuke (with the aid of GERMAN scientists). Sure. And we used it. SO? we dropped it on two Japanese cities. 100,000 dead. Again, I say SO???? (Mind u, not a peep about the 400,000 who died gruesome, slow deaths from the British fire bombing of Dresden). We olny used two nukes, and after using them, stated to Japan, very simply: stop this insanity and surrender. We dont want to grease your whole island. U see what we are capable of, wed like it to end here. Would any other nation use such restraint? if Russia had the nuke first, u think they would have spared Germany? Kruschev himself was unconcerned when kennedy explained that millions would die in a nuke war, he shrugged hus shoulders like kennedy spoke of roach control. Would japan show any mercy had they got nukes? We see what they did in China....i dont think it needs much thought. So....... Stalin kills millions of civilians before and during the war. Japan uses chinese in experiments to test thier bio weapons.......Japan starts war with US by attacking Pearl Harbor.........Allied planes butcher thousands in Dresden.........But WE are the bad guys? Maybe if japan didnt want to get nuked, they should have thought about that before they went rampaging all over Asia and then taking a stab at the US. Theres two sides to every coin......the Anti Americasn are just as propoganda brainwashed sheep as the super flag waving blindly patriot pro Americans. Somewhere in between lies the truth.

America shall fall someday, this is the fate of all great Empires. we are no different. This is the cycle of things: even the mighty lion shall someday return to the earth. the question is, when we are gone, who will take power? We can only hope that it will be a super power of some benevolence like us.......if not, the world might become a far more frighteing place than it is, and people, like they did when Rome fell and the dark ages set in, will look back at the glory of the great American Empire waxing nostalgic as brutal barbarians burn thier homes.

Whoever supercedes us, let them for once, change history and be a power who will look back at the mistakes of the past and finally, for once.......LEARN.
