Compile a list of every congressman, senator, representative, president, dog catcher, who wants this and make sure that they are never in office again.
R or D, it doesn't matter. Vote the bastards out!

The only way to ensure they are never in office again has nothing to do with ballots. Although I am thinking of another b word that would ensure it (not that I am suggesting it.) That is not going to happen though.

Don't you think it is a more practical solution than portable EMP units or taking pot-shots at drones?

Get rid of them in your city. Make "NO-DRONE ZONES".

Then your county.

Then your state.

I wish people would wake up, for the strength is in numbers. If everyone did this they couldn't do a thing about it, if 1/2 of all households, were target practicing to ensure the drones were gone.

Oh, yes. That would be the best course of action in a world where leaders and people used logic, knew right from wrong and would live life accordingly. If we were in that world, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now.

It comes back to money and power. Local and State governments aren't going to be able to regulate the federal government in that aspect. In any areas they can, expect issues of power (staying in office) and money (contracts and flat-out bribes) to ensure that control of the people by whatever means necessary is assured.

The government has no legal excuse to invade the privacy of the American public.

This could been seen as a Constitutional issue.

They (the government) has declared a de facto war against the American public. Use the same system THEY USE, against them.

Just say no, to drone zones.

The federal government has to abide by the same laws they inflict on us.

The Constitution limits the authority, use and misuse of power.

You just needed to add...." In theory"

You do understand that in practice this is not true....and will never be true.

It's like a casino, they set the odds, make the rules, all to ensure they always come out ahead. You can't use the same system against them.

It's the same with the second amendment. The idea behind that was to balance the government with the people. We let them regulate it to the point that they have the advantage so that you cannot effectively use it against them. The people cannot have the same arms the standing army (which we weren't supposed to have) has access to.

We are only allowed to have the illusion of freedom so that we don't resort to violence and cost them resources and delay their plans.
edit on 15-5-2012 by Wolf321 because: (no reason given)

If I really believed that all was lost, I'd be advocating revolution. I don't think we're there. If we could "unite" and fight this draconian move legally, we'd stand a better chance.

Taking pot-shots at drones would only strengthen the governments argument for their use.

first time in a very long time I agreed with him. How bad has it become when a virtual mouthpiece for the cabal is saying theyve gone too far???

It wouldn't really take much to ground one of those signposts of tyranny. 30.06 with a walmart scope, shoulder mounted... "I am not advocating, just predicting..."

There is always a way to beat "the house".

Start small and let it grow. The people have a voice. They just don't use it.

On this, I'd be reluctant to agree. Republicns are also culpable because they could have stopped this.

"Hopping along. . . . . "

And this is where we diverge. No matter what angle I approach the problem from, the result is always the same. Hell, if I even thought revolution was a possibility, with even the smallest chance of success, I would be advocating it.

When the ball finally drops, I can only hope my family and I are in the first group taken out and that we are able to take as much of them and their resources out with us. Then, god have mercy of the poor fools who suffer life after that.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Guess my glass is "half-full".

I can't look at my sons and believe that all is lost. I refuse to give them this kind of legacy.

One day, CIA agents will be able to operate their own military drones...and their families will be able to find ways of flying them....just like in American Dad episode:

I bet that this analyst won't have a job within a month or so. One day he'll be on
the air and the next he won't --and it'll never be addressed or acknowledged by others
from the same station. His firing will be hushed, brushed aside and swept under the very
rug where the new analyst will sit in the chair that it's under.

We gave up our right to privacy a long time ago. Whats a drone but a TrafficCam with wings? Expensive to operate and what are they going to do, watch people move around? Thousands upon millions of people moving around?
Application specific mostly like surveillance of hi value criminal activity. They are better employed in deserts at night where any thermal image of a person is "suspicious". They show the predator but that are talking about a plethora of smaller inexpensive types.

On shooting down one, good luck. On seeing one good luck. On hitting it at altitude and not bringing down all the cops on your head... really good luck.

Either find where they park em or just shoot out the traffic cams in your hood if you are paranoid.. But be mindful ,they have sensors now like cameras that can triangulate gunfire all over the cities.

To my mind, Fox News would never suggest something this stupid unless they were trolling for people to comment on how they are going to defeat miles high drones. They surely listening to your input.
