Well this will be a shock to the Paulites!

“Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted,” Mr. Paul said. “Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have.”

My prediction is: His voters become Obama supporters. The two closely align on social issues.

So what'll it be now that the inevitable has happened?

Ron Paul and Obama are NOT AT ALL Alike on social issues because Ron Paul is strongly against any form of social engineering

I'm sure Ron Paul sees Obama as a disgusting weasel and Obama sees Ron Paul as someone more intelligent than him who is too honest.

he's saving money by not focusing on the primary states.

he's now focused on snatching as many delegates as he can before the convention in august.

remember, rule 38... its possible that delegates will not be bound in the first round of voting so I think the RP camp is going all out in the delegate hunt. Just look at their recent success; its only going to grow.

Yeah people need to wake up if Paul can't afford to go after primary states how the hell can he get the cash to run agianst Obama if he ever got the nomination.

This is reality you don't have to like it and you don't have to agree with it.

Are you joking?

RP has a money bomb every few weeks and easily raises a million dollars each time. The point is that he could continue such a process, but why waste the money of his supporters in campaigning when it isn't going to accomplish much of anything?

It is a smart strategy at this point considering what states are left and the way those states work. Save money and and continue working on the delegates. When/If he gets the nomination, RP will have no shortage of cash coming in from supporters. He is, after all, the number one money raiser of all the candidates and that is a fact.

Do you think RP has the funds Romney has?? I don't think so!

Romney is going to have a hard time competing with Obama financially in the general and Romney is currently outspending RP 4 to 1 in the primary!

How in the world do you think RP’s “money bombs” are going to stack up against Obama’s Hollywood fortune?

Like Neo said, “this is reality.”

Ron Paul announced Monday that his campaign will no longer spend money on presidential nominating contests due to lack of funds, effectively ending his campaign for the Republican nomination.

He’s running out of money!!

so why continue ?

if you can't win a primary you can't win an election

the only reason to continue is ego

well - we play the game as long as the system wants too ... but Ron Paul is America and the others appear to either be imposters or the one who caused this decision in the first place... go lessor of two evils - is the one that isnt evil - Ron Paul.

He's still beating this dead horse guys.

RON PAUL HAS NOT SUSPENDED HIS CAMPAIGN

Today from Buzzfeed:

“Asked if this is a dropout, Paul’s campaign manager Jesse Benton said ‘Absolutely not! We are focusing our efforts squarely on winning delegates and party leadership positions at state conventions.”

Hopefully this will help clear up some of today’s confusion:

He's still going, conning the dupes into giving him campaign dollars that he will get to keep once he finally gives up this lost cause.
