Just in. Saw it on CNN.

(CNN) - An announcement from Rep. Ron Paul indicates that the Republican presidential candidate will no longer actively campaign for the GOP nomination, but will continue to work to secure delegates at upcoming Republican state conventions.

"Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted," said Paul, in a statement released Monday afternoon. "Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have."

Don't worry Mr Paul, I give you free publicity at any opportunity I can.

Too bad the whole world can't vote, this would easily be no contest.

Why is Ron Paul still in the Republican party? If he'd come out and tell it like it is that BOTH parties are corrupt to the core and run as a real independent, even in the chance that means Obama gets re-elected, he needs to just do it. If Romney or Obama gets re-elected, they're pursue the same policies. Obamney vs Ron Paul.

No. It's true. He is stopping all of his active campaigning. He will continue to try to secure delegates thought. He doesn't want to continue to spent the money it will take to keep actively campaigning.

Someone beat me to this already by a few minutes. Please add comments to the existing thread HERE.
Thanks, and sorry for the double post.

Because in this country his only chance to win is within the GOP.

But Paul has had a plan from the start, and it seems like it might be working. Trying to get the GOP nomination was always and remains a better option than going third party.

RP has the delegates.. If the delegates are smart we could still see Paul in the White House.
