Ya got me there.
When I wrote the post originally I was going by the tabulated poll results listed on the webpage from November of 2011 to the present, not from the graphic. Paul was still averaging 15% support.
When I uploaded the graphic I noticed that the table started from January of 2011 and so edited my post to reflect that. I never saw the 2008 reference until you pointed it out.
I'm guessing that 2008 was a date that was somehow left on the template for the graph for some reason. It must have some significance. I can't imagine it simply being an oversight.
Maybe they simply continued to track various personalities from the earlier campaign, running the same program to create the graph since 2008.edit on 15-5-2012 by ipsedixit because: (no reason given)
I asked dozens of people in person and all of them claim they have never been polled for politicians before.
What does that tell you about the accuracy of these polls?
Something tells me the poll reveals more about what the entity polling wants to say rather than what people here on the ground level actually think.
Easy science experiment. Just ask people you meet/know in RL. Just how accurate are these polls?

So you admit to being a socialist, or is it Communist? Good for you, and good luck with that.
And sorry buddy, but I know about politics all too well. I am too young to remember McCarthyism and old enough to have lived through the Cold War. I had a friend who defected from the Soviet Union, I had friends from other Communist countries also, and I learned more from them over the years than you can imagine, so don't pretend to know what I know.
Communism and Socialism by their very nature create an elitist minority that holds down the majority financially, socially, and intellectually. It's rife with abuses that would make Wall Street envious. Capitalism, even with all it's flaws, is still the best system we have. It encourages competition and innovation which is directly responsible for all the fancy gadgets that you depend on every day. There is no incentive to produce, let alone innovate in Socialism or Communism. If you knew anything about politics you'd know that. Why should you produce when everything you need will be provided by the government no matter what? Why should you innovate when any reward you reap will be taken by the government? The reality is that without the Capitalist system our technology would be stuck in the 1920's.
The bottom line is this: If you want Socialism, sit back, relax, and do nothing. Thanks to Obama we're halfway there and he and Romney are both working to achieve the same end.edit on 5/15/2012 by AntiNWO because: (no reason given)

I can only hope Romney choses Paul.
Paul has done well collecting votes from the independents and even some from the liberal party.
With him as VP, I dont see how Obama could be re-elected.
I have two main wishes, Make Obama a one term president, and ATS discuss much less about RP

The next stop is Minnesota, where the campaign believes it can win a majority of support at this weekend's state convention. Benton mentioned Washington, Missouri, Louisiana and Iowa as other states where he believes Paul can end up with a majority of support.
The campaign says it will be able to count on "several hundred more" delegates bound to Romney at this summer's national convention—noting that those delegates are obliged only for the first round of voting.

Ron Paul has seriously rocked the Republicans.
"Lively" is not what they normally do.

Breaking - Ron Paul to end active campaigning. - CNN
Texas Rep. Ron Paul said in a statement Monday that he will end active campaigning in the GOP presidential race, but will continue efforts to win delegates at state conventions.
So, it looks like it's official, which makes me sad. ATS, what are your opinions on this matter?
The main question I have, why continue to seek delegates, when you are pretty much removing yourself from the nomination. Would someone be able to clarify if I am misunderstanding this?
Thank You

Hahaha, if you Paulbots don't support Romney after Ron Paul does, then you don't support Liberty.
It's gonna be great to pick up that big bad'Mitt'on racket and whack them idiotic sayings back at the Paulbots in a few short months.
