Some of it probably has more veracity than any of the Abrahamic religions, considering that it has been around so much longer.

Though I agree with the poster, there is some in the new age movement which talk through ego. The trick is take what you need from the new age movement learn stuff etc, but some where right you need to lessen the ego to promote unity conscious. So I tend to take info from new avers but info from a lot of others including my higher self and always use your own discernment if it doesnt resonate with you than your soul doesn't like it. We all have our paths to walk and we incarnated for this transition period.

Anton La Vey (head of the church of Satan) said that New Agers were Satanists without the acknowlegement of that fact, and in fact laughed at them for being too chicken to admit that they serve Lucifer through their rites and rituals...

Interesting thoughts on the striking similarities between practitioners of Satanism and certain New Age authors

I don't agree with all the thoughts on that page (for example that the Pope will be the False Prophet - I have no idea about the specifics of who's who); however, there's some critical insights on how Satanism and New Age philosophers share quite a lot - uncannily so - in common. For example, the commonality of channelled material from the Pleiades and Sirius star systems.

I don't expect any stars for this post, as it goes against the grain and isn't what people want to hear about their cherished beliefs. Still needs to be said imho.

to transform + -er

[edit] Noun

transformer (plural transformers)
1.Something that transforms, changing its own or another thing's shape.
2.(electrical engineering) A static device

This article is about the electrical device. For the toy line franchise, see Transformers. For other uses, see Transformer (disambiguation).

Pole-mounted distribution transformer with center-tapped secondary winding. This type of transformer is commonly used in the United States to provide 120/240 volt "split-phase" power for residential and light commercial use. Note that the center "neutral" terminal is grounded to the transformer "tank", and a grounded conductor (right) is used for one leg of the primary feeder.
A transformer is a device that transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another through inductively coupled conductors—the transformer's coils. A varying current in the first or primary winding creates a varying magnetic flux in the transformer's core and thus a varying magnetic field through the secondary winding. This varying magnetic field induces a varying electromotive force (EMF), or "voltage", in the secondary winding. This effect is called inductive coupling.

If a load is connected to the secondary, current will flow in the secondary winding, and electrical energy will be transferred from the primary circuit through the transformer to the load. In an ideal transformer

Wikipedia says this about the Age of Aquarius( I find it to be quite accurate)

The Age of Aquarius is either the current or new age in the cycle of astrological ages. Each astrological age, resulting from very slow precessional movement of the Earth's rotation, is approximately 2,150 years long, on average, but there are various methods of calculating this length that may yield longer or shorter time spans depending upon the technique used. Unlike sun-sign astrology where the first sign is Aries, followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, whereupon the cycle returns to Aries and through the zodiacal signs again, the astrological ages proceed in the opposite direction or order – normally termed retrograde. Therefore, the Age of Aquarius follows the Age of Pisces. It has been said that we are currently shifting into the Aquarian Age.[1]

The approximate 2150 years for each age corresponds to the average time it takes for the Vernal Equinox to move from one constellation of the zodiac into the next. This can be computed by dividing the Earth's 25,800 year gyroscopic precession period by twelve, the number of Zodiac constellations used by astrologers. According to different astrologers' calculations, approximated dates for entering the Age of Aquarius range from 1447 AD (Terry MacKinnell) to 3597 (John Addey).[2] The start date for the Aquarian age is somewhat contentious[

Ages are believed by some astrologers to affect mankind while other astrologers believe the ages correlate to the rise and fall of mighty civilisations and cultural tendencies. Aquarius traditionally "rules" electricity, computers, flight, democracy, freedom, humanitarianism, idealists, modernisation, astrology, nervous disorders, rebels and rebellion.[5] Other keywords and ideas believed associated with Aquarius are non-conformity, philanthropy, veracity, perseverance, humanity and irresolution.[6] The appearance or elevation in status of many of these Aquarian developments over the last few centuries is considered by many astrologers to indicate the proximity of the Aquarian age. There is no uniform agreement about the relationship of these recent Aquarian developments and the Age of Aquarius. Some astrologers believe that the influence of a New Age is experienced before it arrives because of a cuspal effect or Orb of Influence. Other astrologers believe the appearance of Aquarian developments, indicate the actual arrival of the Age of Aquarius.

en.wikipedia.org...

That being said, people who are into the New Age generally seem to want to be open minded and can relate to new ideas as well as the tried and true methods of meditation and yogic practices. Yoga came to the West via this yogi

paramhansa-yogananda.net...
That picture was taken just before his final Mahasamadhi.

Many hippies of the 60's era took to meditation and yoga easily, but the experience got clouded with too many drugs and the freedom of sex. This can be seen as the more negative side of the Aquarian ideal of Freedom. Also a perversion of Aquarius is the desire for communism and socialism, as many Utopian types believe these systems will bring about the happy society they envision where everyone loves each other and no one starves. This is the problem with the UN. As one poster stated the UN is pushing a One World govt and a One World Religion. Communism is not the answer because it interferes with Free Will, which ironically, Freedom is one of thee hallmarks of the Aquarian Age.
Many New Agers do take on forms of Buddhism, Hinduism, taoism, but the freedom part is that one can take the various elements of truth in each of these major religions and reject the more rigid doctrines which can keep the soul in a brittle way of thinking and dogma.
Even secularists criticize the major religions for the dogmatic beliefs, but they throw the baby out with the bathwater.
People who cannot relate to the New Age may be spiritual, but stick to the more traditional things.
It is interesting to note people on this thread talking about the New Age being Old Age because of the prevalance of Hinduism and Buddhism among believers. This is because the Age of Aquarius is the Seventh Age and all the previous ages sort of roll up into it in the final hurrah. It involves these older religious ideals but also transcends them.
The spirit of Freedom in Aquarius keeps the whole thing from becoming too mired in set doctrine which is why everyone says there is no set doctrine but yet evolves out of earlier systems.

They take aspects of every religion to try and ensnare more and more people into it,

Yes, you are right. The UN is ensnaring as many spiritual people it can in it's net of Totalitarian One World Govt. It is a perversion. Advanced souls were attracted to it because they believed in World Good Will, but the UN model is too Totalitarian and Utopian types are attracted to it. The Gaia worship is entwined and they also are using the spiritual beliefs of the Native Indians and the Hopi prophecies to ensnare people too. You are right about the Club of Rome as well, as that is the controlling aspect, TPTB running it. Bill Gates may really believe he is helping the world by promoting the NWO but he is sadly mistaken. He may genuinely believe that using vaccines for depopulation is a good thing, just like the Gaians believe that the earth is sick because of the human parasites.
The UN does not own the New Age however and I believe that in the end their Totalitarianism will not prevail. The winds of Freedom and Liberty will prevail.

Pardon me but people who believe in the whole new age bullcrap, ascension stories(this isn't dragonball z for crying out loud), indigo children...are like sheep to the slaughter. People who believe in the david icke and willcock bullcrap are probably as gullible as can be. The illuminati nonsense...that comes down to glorifying habitual drug abusers...bullcrap. Not to forget the nonsense about galactic federations, the bullcrap about aliens visiting Earth but only visiting those who oppress humanity or they travel millions of light years to scribble something into friggin' cornfields.

I mean, if you, honestly think about this from a SANE point of view...it's INSANE!

It's a money making scheme and it's called MARKETING.

Take these words as a warning and rip yourselves from this new age nonsense as soon as you can. It's a trick to keep you down.

THANK YOU! Most New Age websites have a paypal donate button...

Anyone who believes in any of the New Age crap, or in a one world government, or in any kind of human social utopia should best read a history book or two. Or watch this guy. He explains it brilliantly. Human nature is human nature. Each and everyone of us will always strive to be NUMBER 1! And that goes all the way to the top of politics and world affairs. I'm serious. You want some enlightenment? I dare you to watch this entire video. I double dare you. I triple dare you! Watch it to the end. Because it's the truth.

Just because that may seem to be a majority of individuals nature/way of thinking does not make it right nor should it be an excuse.

It is the attitude and thought process you speak of that is adding to the collective problem.

Just because humanity tends to be ego driven in our inherent nature does not mean we do not need to change. It does not mean we will never change.Or that we were once not like this? have we forgotten or do so many not care anymore.?

A "New age" is needed. A era of change where greed, poverty, selfishness, hate, murder, oppression is no more. Maybe that is not the thought process we all have when we think about 'new age' but personally for me,that is how I tend to look at it.

The old ways are not working for us.human nature does not need to be set in stone. Can you not change if you choose to? we can all change if we decide to.

I hope for a utopia like existence...a New age is possible...But only when we stop thinking.believing and acting like we presently are. Only when we collectively have had enough with the way things are, when we no longer believe and accept that this is the way things have always been...That it is only human nature...will we change.

I would sincerely hope that we could all agree that we are much much more & better than evil, greedy, warring and selfish beings?

I know we are.I know I am. I love,I desire peace and have compassion. It is in all of us.we have lied to ourselves, been lied to and conditioned to believe otherwise.

The survival of the fittest mentality and competitive "I have to be number 1" way of thinking is a big part of our problem collectively.

"people are unemployed" " who cares,I have plenty of money.as long as it is not effecting me.
"homeless...wonder why? who cares,I have a roof over my head" me me me me,what I have, what I want.
"Thousands have innocently died in an earthquake _____" at least it wasn't me,I am safe.

ETC. ETC. ETC.

I don't want to be number one,I want things to change so we can realize that we are all one.

Not solely directed towards you,I am certainly not without fault. but It has to be said that kind of thinking is negative/false and leading all of us astray.IMHO.

It is the truth. It's not detracting or adding anything. It's the truth. Can you handle it?

Just because humanity tends to be ego driven in our inherent nature does not mean we do not need to change. It does not mean we will never change.Or that we were once not like this? have we forgotten or do so many not care anymore.?

What you fail to understand is, no. We were always like this. A very limited amount of people have always been speaking truth into the face of a majority of people. Namely: These new age ideas come in books that people sell to gain money. These new age gurus challenge each other or work together to fool YOU in order to make as much money as possible and get as many followers as possible.

A "New age" is needed. A era of change where greed, poverty, selfishness, hate, murder, oppression is no more.

You just listed everything bad, made it be part of the "old world"...and proclaim that a "new world" does not have any of these traits.

Maybe that is not the thought process we all have when we think about 'new age' but personally for me,that is how I tend to look at it.

It's not very concrete now is it? Everything bad on this side, everything good on that side. Which side are you going to pick? (The answer is obvious, but new age folk pretend it's a mystery)

The old ways are not working for us.human nature does not need to be set in stone. Can you not change if you choose to? we can all change if we decide to.

That's why you new agers need to do some proper research because you've been saying the same stuff for close to or over a hundred years now, adding and detracting stuff to keep it interesting and up to date in order to sound reasonable to as many people as possible. But guess what? New agers have achieved less than nothing, in the sense that they've put more people into ignorance than taken out.

I hope for a utopia like existence...a New age is possible...But only when we stop thinking.believing and acting like we presently are. Only when we collectively have had enough with the way things are, when we no longer believe and accept that this is the way things are...it is only human nature...will we change.

That has absolutely NOTHING to do with "new age" and everything to do with evolution of our species. What you describe will be achieved at some point, it's inevitable. Maybe in 100 years, maybe in 1000. Does that mean that the things "new agers" believe is helping? Not at all, it's putting more people to sleep than awaking them.

I would sincerely hope that we could all agree that we are much much more than evil, greed, war and selfishness.

We sure are. But does that put food in your stomach? No. Does it put a roof over your head? No.

See, you can talk like that all you want, but go to a third world country and say the same things, I guarantee you will think and feel stupid.

The survival of the fittest mentality and competitive "I have to be number 1" way of thinking is a big part of our problem collectively.

Of course it is. As are the god complexes and self delusional raving and rantings of these new age con men.

I don't want to be number one,I want things to change so we can realize that we are all one.

And so you fail to understand human nature.

If you don't want to be number one, there are over 7 billion that will take that spot because they falsely believe it offers easy living. Do you know there are death squads going around from town to town killing and raping? You propose to stop that by singing kumbaya and handing out flowers? Not going to work.

IF you want to talk about people who add to the problem, look no further than those who wish to offer solutions. That would be you.

Most new age religions are non dualistic. La Vey was a big Aleister Crowley fan and Crowleys dictum "Do what though wilt" interprets better from New Age/Buddhist perspectives.

With the Dualistic Christian Heaven/Hell split there is always this evil Satan tempting humans to cross over and be damned forever with the promise of salvation only through Christ. Do what thou wilt translates to giving in to Satan in the Christian context.

The new age religions like Buddhism have many more hells and being in hell is the norm, getting out takes a lot more mental adjustment. With the 136 different hells and Karma carryover from prior lives it can get much more complicated. Lucifers hell is simply an unknown realm until the ego and emotions give it value.

The World trade center attack on 9/11 was simply a building implosion, we individually decide whether it was a work of Satan or something else.

I am a proud New Ager, although I guess I prefer the term spiritualist due to the negative connotations which many associate with the term ‘New Age as can be evidenced throughout this thread. But as has also been pointed out labels only detract from the core truth of the matter, and it can be said that those detractors are themselves confusing the messenger with the message itself.

But the New Age is something very real which we as human beings are heading towards very rapidly.

Why?

Because soon we will have no choice but to change. Assuming we don’t blow ourselves up in the process we have as a collective species entered a time period where finally our actions are affecting the very world we live in.

The world as we know it is speeding up at an ever increasing, exponential pace. The rate of technological innovation is doubling every few years or so and an awareness of how we as humans can affect our planet in terms of the environment, economics, and socio-political issues is expanding like never before. We are finally grasping that each and every one of our actions can affect not just ourselves but other people and other things on a global scale

And the masses have become restless, for somewhere deep in each and everyone us we sense in our subconscious minds that a great shift is coming. What is this shift? It is that which has been foretold in almost every major belief system and today’s popular culture; wrapped up and disguised in metaphors and myths. It is the apocalypse, the 2nd coming, the breaking of the seventh seal, the Rapture, the Mayan Calendar, the Age of Aquarius, the end of the world as we know it.

It is the beginning of the New Age of Mankind, an emergence into the light, a lifting of the veil, a dawning of a new era of spirituality.

We are all on the brink of something great. And we all have a part to play.

Physical evolution has carried us thus far; indeed it has been our main influencing factor for the past 3.5 billion years. Physical evolution though is slow, but then this evolution, this shift is not physical. It is an evolution of the mind, both the individual mind and as a consequence the global mind. It is an evolution of spirit; and spiritual evolution can happen in just the blink of an eye.

Everything you see around you is a symptom of mankind’s restlessness for something new to emerge. The old ways are beginning to crumble and this can be seen in the economic status of the world, the increased bullyboy tactics of the U.S. and the acceptance of it by the rest of the world, the Occupy Wall Street Movement, the War on Terror and the near simultaneous outbreak of rioting in many of the more oppressed areas of the world. The tighter restrictions on personal freedoms even after humanity have fought so long to attain them.

Other symptoms of this change include the internet – we are communicating and sharing ideas with more people than ever before. The increase automation of menial tasks. The advances in our understanding of energies and quantum physics. The linking of eastern philosophies with western mysticism. The discoveries in the field of medicine about just how our expectations and stress levels can affect our health. The genetic revolution is another – we are moving beyond limitations of our physical bodies not just on a spiritual level but also on the material plane as well. And we are just beginning to realize how connected everything really is.

Assuming an optimistic outcome, we will one day be living in a world where all menial tasks will be automated. This will put millions out of jobs, but yet food and most other essential commodities will be very cheap if not free.

We have to begin realizing this and begin making changes now. The socio-economic and political systems as they exist today are simply not set up to handle the fact that we most of the population will simply not have to work soon to support themselves.

Assuming the s#*t doesn’t hit the fan first; this is where we are heading…..

One must also consider the fact that through the development of quantum physics science and spirituality edge ever closer we are entering a whole ‘new age’ in spirituality, one where many ancient beliefs are finally being validated by science.

Which is good, because soon there will be a very large group of peeps with not a lot to do except contemplate their navels.

This to me is what New Age Spirituality is all about. And it is very real my friends.

Just because, like in any field of belief, there are those who wish to make a fast buck off the beliefs and hopes of the gullible masses, does not in any way detract from the core truth that humanity is heading for a great shift in all paradigms from belief systems to the way we live our day to day lives.
For we really do not have any other choice…….

Love and Light

First off, I never said I was a "new ager"
I do not necessarily consider myself anything,I would define myself as spiritual.

You have either purposely chosen to take my post out of context or what I was trying to say completely went over your head.

I am talking about a 'new age/new era' of existence and ways of living. It could be considered a mind set or "belief" as well.
I was referring to both,a new era and a new way of thinking/believing/acting.

It is the truth. It's not detracting or adding anything. It's the truth. Can you handle it?

It is adding,if it's the reality we are choosing to create, the reality we are accepting.Sure,I can handle it,does not mean I need to like it or agree with it.

We were always like this huh? I merely suggested an alternative point of view. You know we were always like this because you were there in the beginning? do you know absolutely 100% yourself that we have always been like this? or are you only following what has been taught to you?

Any idea, theory, religion or belief can be marketed for profit.

You just listed everything bad, made it be part of the "old world"...and proclaim that a "new world" does not have any of these traits.

Yes,I did. what is your point exactly? I was only commenting that yes,our world is full of these negative aspects but that they do not need to be.I believe we can change and that we need to change. Unless of course you do not mind living in the world the way it is...With war, poverty, greed, murder, selfishness and oppression?

It's not very concrete now is it? Everything bad on this side, everything good on that side. Which side are you going to pick? (The answer is obvious, but new age folk pretend it's a mystery)

Pretty "concrete" to me. nothing and no one is perfect and a "new era" may never be perfect but That still does mean the world that we find ourselves in needs to stay the way it is.We collectively have a say and a responsibility to make different choices in order to better not only ourselves but each other.

Again,I never claimed to be anything.I have done plenty of research. have you? what research are we talking about exactly
I do not need a book,a guru or anything else for that matter to tell me what is right and what is wrong. There might be some who are very impressionable, that hang on every word, allowing their minds and beliefs to be molded for them without an individual thought of their own. That certainly is not me.

It is semantics and personal opinion. What a 'new ager/new age' to you might mean ,could completely be different to another person.

I said we need a 'new age/new era' of life, thinking, belief, action, reality without the negativity. There is a difference.

I would rather be considered a "new age" thinker and believer than a walking zombified, ignorant disillusioned individual any day

What have you done to change the way things are?

That has absolutely NOTHING to do with "new age" and everything to do with evolution of our species. What you describe will be achieved at some point, it's inevitable. Maybe in 100 years, maybe in 1000. Does that mean that the things "new agers" believe is helping? Not at all, it's putting more people to sleep than awaking them.

Again, you are obviously stuck on your personal opinion of what 'new age' means. You are missing my point completely. How are 'new agers' putting people to sleep? please enlighten me. what would you propose that we all do,think and believe.certainly you have thought this out and know that new age beliefs are not the way to go.

That a new way of living, thinking and being is not the answer.a new era/new age is holding us all back. is that what you are saying? missed my point :whoosh: over your head or through.

We sure are. But does that put food in your stomach? No. Does it put a roof over your head? No. See, you can talk like that all you want, but go to a third world country and say the same things, I guarantee you will think and feel stupid.

You are making my point for me.I think you need to re-read what I wrote, think upon what I was trying to relay, then come back here and respond, instead of remaining narrow minded friend.

Define 'new-age religions'...??

As I understand it, by definition the New Age is a wishy-washy movement (not a religion) where participants choose what they want to believe.

The New Age consists of Pick n Mix spirituality, much of which is based in occult (hidden) knowledge (knowledge is hidden for the simple reason that it can be dangerous!). All of the relevant occult knowledge found in the New Age movement is utilised by Satanists who claim 'Do what thou wilt' for no other reason than it demonstrates their rebellion against God, the Universe and Everything - the Natural Law, if you like.

Mostly the demons will ignore New Agers, simply because they are advancing Lucifer's cause in quasi-ignorance. Sort of like: ''Let them carry on with it, as it profits us when they sow confusion concerning Mankind's place in the cosmos.''

The overriding and most prolific sub-text in the New Age movement is that Man can be his own God. However, just as the son is not the parent, the soul is not its own God or creator. That's a little bit of 'As above, so below' which can be taken seriously. Seriously.
