Beez...15 years ago I saw the writing on the wall when we taxpayers were forking out millions for voting ballots, school materials, all state government reading materials, to be printed in 6 different languages. And special school teachers, who spoke those languages to be hired to teach in the schools. Yep, the voters decided that English as a first language was not fair....

That was when I wrapped up my corporate job, sold my home and moved to a reasonable state. Jerry Brown has always been a socialist, and pushed that agenda to the detriment of those who still think our Constitution is a legal document. I could see it coming way back then.....it will only get worse. The state I currently own my home and property in, is becoming a landing place for corporations leaving Ca. in droves. Georgia is hosting job fairs every week for these companies. New corporate campuses are springing up all over the place.

What I see for Ca. in the future is even more bleak than what we are seeing now. It will be the poster child for the socicalist welfare state of America. California...home to Hollywood, and handouts.

The whole idea of empathy towards those that refuse to do anything about their situation is beyond common sense.
If it is so bad there, and you feel the pain, then leave.

Kind of like going to the doctor and saying, "Doctor, my arm hurts when I do this".
Doctor replies, "Well, don't do that".

Let Kommiefornia bask in its utopian glory and go down in flames.

Of course you have every right to your opinion, but it sure is a rude one. Maybe all the CA citizens should just concede California and give it back to Mexico. Arizona too, and parts of Texas and FL while we're at it, because with an attitude like yours, that seems like what you are suggesting instead of sticking it out and fixing it's problems.

BTW: You, wherever you are from, live in a state that is an owner of a very large national debt, so why don't you step down from that high horse. Where goes California so does the rest of the nation, be careful what you wish for.

I do not want any part of what Cali has created. That is the reason why there is a thing called "State's Budget".
Cali is not my responsibility. Maybe instead of expecting other states to bail you out, fix your own problem.

I feel the same adigregorio. I don't live in California but it's the fault of the guys at the top for not being smart.

If governments approached budgeting the way smart people would, they would run massive surpluses in boom times, thus storing acorns for the inevitable winter ahead. Instead they spend every penny and more in good times and when times are not so good deficits explode. That's what happened in California.

Also, regarding illegal aliens....Americans don't want the jobs these people do. I think they should find a way to let them come and work and then go home legally. And to prove my point look at the latest on the news. For years this company has had trouble finding Americans willing to grab a knife and stand 10 or more hours a day in a cold, wet room for minimum wage and skimpy benefits skinning fish. Same with the agriculture industry in California....Americans won't do 12 hours back breaking work for minimum wage. So to get the job done they hire immigrants from Mexico. There is a high unemployment rate in America but still Americans just won't do that type of work and many of these jobs are just sitting there, empty. Things need to change alright but not the way some of you are suggesting.

Nice, and predictable from you. So sign off CA, like I said, what comes next? Oh, I forgot, I am deflecting. Can't think beyond the initial issue. That, BTW, is the problem with so many, can't see the forest for the trees.

If CA goes, which it won't, but I'll play along, and major industries close or move, you don't think that will affect you? A large portion of the nation's produce is from here, silicon valley is here, the entertainment industry is here, aerospace is here, we do produce more than you probably consider.. One way or another the rest of the nation will feel the effects. Not to mention have we ever given up a state? Is that the direction you see for the U.S.? Giving up states?

California has gone where other states dare not dream. We have failed at many things, but as an idealist state, we'll keep trying to get it right. I have no doubt that we will get some things right, we do have some of the highest standards in environmental protection (although we're still in our infancy here yet), and if you've been on this earth even 40 years, you know this is important. It will probably take many years to balance our state fiscally and legislatively, but I have no doubt we are capable. Nothing worthwhile is without work.

Peace Out!

No, you, like some many in Cali want others to shoulder your burden.
Either fix your state, deal with it or leave it. Stop crying. Stop wanting others to fix YOUR problem.

Uhhhh, let me think this through here. Aren't a large portion of said companies leaving CA, and going to Business Friendly states????
Duuuuhhhhhh. I don't know. Maybe any, and pick any, business based reporting sites or media having been saying this for about a year now.

Yeah, I am sure there would be pain, but long term gains, if CA goes to Mexico, and the vast majoroty of people go with it. I am tired of seeing the escaping Cali people migrating to other states, only to bring their Socialist crap with them and force it down the throats of said state.
But, I am all for CA to go.

Yep, because as a whole, the state has been a WILD success. A Cinderella tale.
Huge State Debt, Crippling State Tax, Some of the highest cost of living, High gas, high Corp tax (Please, look to Apple for their solution to this) and so on. What a great place.

I got the fork ready. Someone please show me where............................

This is true and if you consider that 42 of the 50 states are running budget deficits, there isn't too much room for pointing fingers and saying I told you so. If looked at per capita, California is actually #6 on the list. Adding all the states debts together, it is estimated to be more than 4 trillion.

is it irony that the wealthiest state in the union be in debt?

hopefully this will bring the bastard state that much closer to falling off into the sea, as the remaining states of the union will and pray for it.

how is it that Americas image is still coming out of Hollywood?

Personally I'd rather we had the image/face of total military superiority than that of lady Gaga... but that would scare the peoples of the rest of the nations just a little too much I suppose?

is it all a conspiracy?

Yes it probably IS a conspiracy !

The Fibrillating Palpitating Ultra-Liberal Super Left Wing Fanatical Radicals have "legalized" all the super high priced administrative jobs that are fully supported and paid for by the state sponsored policies.

That could be the problem.

It might be Marxism / Corporatism at its' best ideal set up for the muney mungers that rule many States.

what's so ironic is that they don't even know what they have done or seemingly the things they do...

not only are the left as you describe above, they are also quite self-centered in their philosophical thinking and from mostly what I have seen since this presidency, they are very racist too.

the American system is set up to heal itself and renew... even the violent racist (the left) get their time on top least our streets be burning for real.

Maybe if people on here stopped demonizing the ACTUAL illegals and went after the system as a whole, that a beneficial solution could be found.

That is part of the problem, but go ahead and tax the businesses to the hilt, unless you get rid of some of the entitlement programs, governments are going to continue bleeding money.

What a load of hydro-chloro bull hockey California has gone after corporations which is why more people are consuming the wealth of others via tax revenue and has resulted in a 16 billion dollar deficit.

California is what happens when people win "hate on the corporations" argument and guess what?

Wow...

You are so sure that everyone here in California deserves "what is coming". Maybe that is one of the reasons I don't really want to move away?

When I lived in Indiana I was around this redneckery all the time. "Those people are a world away, lets talk shady and make fun of." When I would ask the rosynapes "Why not do something to change the circumstances?"

I was told "Why, y'all, thats just not worth our time. Ya see, thems city folk, an thems from the devil."

None of you seem to realize, if California goes we are all coming to your states. So be ready, you ran from your problems and they are getting ready to follow you

I will say, if we do fall. All the reactions I am getting from my fellow countrymen is going to cause me to become what they think I already am, I will make sure to take down your states too!

It's really not that hard to figure out is it?

Stop with this nonsense that if someone wants to open a business they can't because there's an endangered minnow or flower near by. Stop with all this nonsense of giving money and benefits to people who you KNOW are illegals. Sanctuary cities? When are you idiots going to realize your "utopia" never has and never will come true?

Spend, spend, spend on ridiculous state programs. And when people and businesses decide to re-locate to a state with no or lower state taxes? THEY'RE MEAN!

Piss off. You idiots deserve what you get for thinking if you just throw hundred dollar bills at a problem over and over and over again, it will change anything.

I went to bootcamp out there and spent six months living there. Obviously, not all Californians are like this, but there were too many for my tastes.

Could someone explain to me why everyone seems to think getting "change" to happen is all easy, all of the sudden?

The people that make these laws, and instigate these issues. Please, fill me in, on how "easy" it is to get rid of them? How did you do it with Bush? What about Obama, how did we get him out of office so easy?

The war on Terror, how did we get that stopped so fast?

Since those things were so easy to fix, this problem should be to! Please, let me know how to get rid of these people causing problems. (The slave drivers, not my fellow slaves.)

Or, you could step back and realize there is no "perfect solution" hence why it is a fallacy. Of course if people would do that, then change would happen because we would be the instigators. (That's also a perfect solution fallacy)

No matter what, we could start by blaming the people causing problems and not the victims of the problems. Even if it is really easy to lump everyone together...which is kinda an idiotic thing to do...since we were talking about idiots.

Start a group and call it enough is enough (or anything you would like) and start going to court houses, town halls or where ever these so called represenitives are at (talking like men with paper hindends) Ask them questions they cant really answer (which is pretty much anything). Get rid of Nancy Pelosi, Mr. Brown(not right in the head) There are a lot of people in California who feel the same way you do. And always remember that there are more of you then there are of them. Most people I know dont spend more then they take in, that is just insane. Think about it why would you do that, there inlies the conspiracy. Think about it insane people makeing sane people insane, and they dont even see it happening. You may not want to move but when it comes down to it sometimes just voteing isnt enough( Im still wondering if a vote even counts).

All great advice, many of which I partake in already.

I even played with OWS in its infancy, of course it grew into something I did not agree with and I ceased participation. I go to the strikes against the Fullerton Police, for that beating/killing incident.

I have signed countless "get these guys out" petitions, I have gone to countless meetings/gatherings/and yell fests.

Guess what, no change!

The only way change is going to happen is with force, we all know this deep down. Which is why we don't do anything, because we don't want to be "hurt". Well, when (if) that time comes I again won't be running away from the fight.

All I can do now is try to get people to get mad at the right folks, and not me. Since I am on the same side, even if I live in a place that makes humans somehow communist.

(Commiefornia would be more proper, I never understood what the K was for... Since the KKK was founded in Indiana, HA!)

EDIT (To clarifiy)
Don't get mad at the people abusing the state aid, get mad at the people offering the state aid. If you fix the source, well I mean it's obvious.

Fix the scam writers, and there will be no scams to be invloved in.

So why haven't we heard more about Texas, one of the most important economy's in America? Well, it's because it doesn't fit the script. It's a pro-business, lean-spending, no-union state. You can't fit it into a nice storyline, so it's ignored.
