I think what it is worst about America is its extremely awful television..
Toddlers and Tiaras
Jersey shore
16 and pregnant and etc.

its horrible music with Lady gaga, Kesha and so on...

and its terrible entertainment with the endless gossip magazine to check what Kim Kardashian is wearing lately.

People in America are feed through their eyes the most disgusting products in the world. Making people dumber and ignorant everyday. Giving them "entertainment" to feel satisfied with their society and culture. It is truly disgusting and what is worst is this spread of the western culture going to all corners of the world and also making them feel that "this is the right thing" and this is how you should behave, what music you should listen to, what movies you should watching.
Most of the entertainment lacks values, morals and empathy towards everyone else. I have sat down and watch this programs to analise what do they want to tell you as "the truth" and it is horrible watching this girls in Jersey Shore having fights, drinking like there is no tomorrow and talking about sex, friends and family as they were objects. the guys talking about girls as they were objects, having "tanning" as their highlight of the month... and They are also SO DUMB... no interested whatsoever whats outside their bubble.

This is disgusting and sadly, it can reflect the society this kind of programs are being shown. Ignorant people will imitate this kind of behaviour.

I don't know in America, but for example here in England we are having a problem with that kind of "culture". The drinking, the skimpy clothes, the inappropriate behaviour.. you mind call it a "guido" but here you call it a Chav, a low life class person. They breed like crazy, they are aggressive, they claim benefits... its truly disgusting how families of 5, parents that have never work, have benefits for their entire life AND WE pay for it!

Seriously, I am truly losing faith in humanity.

What? Is there any place else in the world?

Seriously, go ahead and criticize us in the U.S. we need to hear about it. Do we pollute too much? OK, give us some suggestions too. I don't mind.

I will say this: when I was a senior in high school I met with a guy from Europe. (I won't say where) He had nothing good to say at all. He called me stupid because after two years of Spanish I couldn't speak it very well .
A couple a' things: 1. Go back to Europe and don't return if you hate it. and 2. I never got a chance to speak to anyone who really spoke fluent Spanish in the actual culture. Europeans learn foreign language at the right time, at two and three when the language part of the brain is like a sponge. And then, they get to go and use it!

America is not for everyone, but neither is Europe. My ancestry goes all of the way back to the Mayflower and I tell you that spirit is still in me! We prefer our own brand of democracy where we value personal views and independence. I don't like socialism at all. It makes me feel like I'm a slave to my gov'mint!

I realize that Europe works for many. I celebrate that and would like to visit there someday.

When citizens are no longer allowed to make up rumors, lies, and gossip about their President, then I'll agree we're no longer a free nation.

But as long as the loud mouthed ungrateful brats are drooling over Fox News anchors, I'll say we're pretty fortunate.

"Is it a crime to hate the US?"

I dunno. Is it a crime to hate the Middle East? North Korea? China, Russia?

If you HAD to choose one of these places to live in (U.S. included), which would you choose?
We may suck, but I'm pretty sure we suck the least.

Why do you only cite the most oppressive countries? You do know that there are other countries besides these...right? Why not compare us to Sweden, France or Germany, or any other democratic nations? You know, the ones who spend their taxes on healthcare, educaton, and real social safety nets instead of waging endless illegal wars? Is it because that would be embarrassing? I think you just proved one of the OP's observations.

You have good reason to worry; your socialist agenda has made you enemies of the state

BETTER TO BE AN ENEMY OF THE STATE THAN A TRAITOR TO THE PEOPLE!!! What is a state but a created institution originally charged with the protection of the people, charged with the improvement of lives and what does it historically prove to be time and time again- but a mechanism for parasitic control of the individual, the group and entire society based upon an ever increasing hierarchy of incompetent, morally depraved sociopaths who steal the very bread out of the mouths of thier brothers and sisters all done by threat of violence. Socialist? I never said I was a socialist nor ascribed to any other ISM. The current paradigm of pyramidal social control is ending on this planet, it is time for a new order of peace, love, harmony and equity, may compassion rue the day for the rest of eternity. Either get on the Love train or get the hell out of the way.

Those in the know, know.

That comment truly shows a false sense of pride on your part.

Show me sources where fed elections are legit.

You're the one who claimed that US Presidents weren't elected, so it's up to you to provide sources. Until you do so, I submit that you only stated an ill conceived delusion.

Being on ATS and doing research, you should already know this.

As a member of ATS, one would expect that you should know that supicious claims should be backed with valid sources. Until you do so, I can only accept your claim as nothing but pure nonsense.

That said:
You are a bit off topic. Perhaps you should start your own thread regarding Presidential elections in the US.

See ya,
Milt

At the current development rate in the US it will soon indeed be a "crime" to hate the US, if enough people doesn't demand real change soon. Basically the last peaceful chance for real change in the US is Ron Paul. The stage is set for radical change, be it peaceful change, violent opposition or even submission to totalitarianism. The choice is yours. For reference I am located in the EU, a equally corrupt and despicable institution I will bash another time.

Here's a relatively quick summarized list why I "hate" the current "United states of america inc.":

1) The internet is constantly under attack and threatened of being censored (SOPA, Protect IP, ACTA, CISPA etc.), all the corporatist lobby's knows exactly what the bills contain while the public is being intentionally left in the dark.. and on top of that they always rush the votes about a day prior to the agreed upon voting time.

2) Peoples rights have systematically been ripped apart all in the name of "safety" and "fighting terrorism". "The patriot act" and the recently NDAA that basically boldly states that whomever, wherever may be either.. so long as the individual is protesting against the government. First amendment is long gone.. but they don't care about the constitution to begin with, the constitution is just a "goddamned piece of paper", right?

3) The democratic election process is long gone, it is being made all too obvious for everyone this election.. although noone noticed the Bush diebold fraud.

4) Corporate News networks (all mainstream news) are not reporting news objectively as they happen, they twist the truth and leave things out to fit their agenda.. and sometimes even lie,,, this i the norm in the whole western region at least... probably same east tho.

5) Constant wars because of the interest of "war profiteers", unethical corporations. Basically trying to get a Rothchild central bank in every country and stealing all natural resources, especially oil, corporations rebuilding contracts, Blackwater guns for hire and banks get to loan with huge interest rate to "help" rebuild. Smedley Butler, one of the most decorated soldiers in US military history wrote a book on the subject: "War is a racket", you should listen to him.

6) The government sold out its people to the FED when the US got bankrupt and before that allowed the cartel of private banks to issue the money to the government with interest rates. FED is the prime tool for the Rothchild central bank cartel, made possible because of the "petro dollar", the reserve currency of the world that the US killed both Muhammar Gadaffi and Saddam Hussein because of. Berlusconi tried to start trading oil for € instead of $, he was soon set up and accused of raping a cleaning lady.

7) CIA, NSA, FBI etc. stonewalling consorchip "National Security".. and also the immensely decivous behaviour of the intelligence community (MI6 and Mossad aswell). False flags.

8) Obama is not eligible for the presidency, still he unilaterally decides to bomb countries because of "humanitarian reasons".

9) Zero respect for whistleblowers, they get thrown to the wolves and the key is thrown away. Manning, and Assange is being accused of rape through Sweden the US proxy.

10) Guantanamo Bay, torture and human rights crimes.

11) Hypocracy of the government telling other regimes what to do while they are a multitude of times worse themselves.

12) Goldman Sachs & co and other evil banks, GE, News corporation, Monsanto, Exon, Blackwater, Halliburton Stratfor and all those other despicable corporations that are running the US through lobbyism and the revolving door policy. It is a corpotocracy... corporatism, as is Europe becoming.

13) Protecting the previous government and not holding them responsible for their actions.

14) Purposefully trying to keep Africa and other regions from developing.

15) Non disclosure on the subject of UFO's, covering up the issue.

16) Patent and copyright, denying development by supporting MPAA, RIAA etc..

17) Dumbing down of the educational system and rewriting history for it's purpose.

18) Always supporting Israel no matter of their crimes against the Palestinians, the Israel lobby is. probably a large part of the reason.

19) Hollywood propaganda, military working together with them if they display them in a positive light.

20) The foreign policy and listening to evil think tanks.

21) Almost has a bigger military than the rest of the world combined.. and is spending more money on it.. while the people starve.

22) Corporations write the laws, like ALEC... and judges are bought just like the politicians in power.

23) The continued spying and prying, building huge spy centers, basically having 1984, George Orwell as their manual... and trying to get Google and Facebook to provide them with all their data.

24) Being a "role model" and excuse for all the EU countries for implementing the same malicious policies.

25) Fabricating external threats.Iran etc. see 5)....

Hate is not a feeling, it's a disease and it's spreading really fast.
Just imagine what this world would look like if hate is common feeling and everyone is allowed to openly hate each other.
Haterd triggers violence, violence triggers loss of lives, loss of lives lead to destruction.

Don't you mean those radicals that your government funded and trained into existence? There wouldn't be a terrorism problem in the first place if it wasn't for the "Bigger D ck" foreign policy at work. "What? They have bigger d cks? Bomb them!"

So I'm guessing from your sweeping generalization that you know most of the people that live in the U.S. personally? If not, I would refrain from judging that which you know nothing about.

But let's say I stood up on a pedestal and said: I hate America! I hate it's government, that they think they are the cops of the world and can do anything at their whim. I hate their ignorance, their aggressive and unprovoked foreign reactions, and all that.

Totally agree, we have our nose into way too many others business while having way too many problems at home.

I hope one day we divert at least half those resources back to help rebuild the infrastructure of this county.

That being said, I agree with Reagan (dodges tomatoes) that we should be a light on top of hill. We have all this power, despite all this corruption, and it should be used to help the world. I know this isn't a popular idea, but seriously, with all the genius this country offers, we should so our best to help out our fellow people, the human race.

An excellent example of the US doing that though, is the internet. Originally, it was a US gov. tech. We gave it to the world. Are there under-curtains to that, Most likely, but we did open the world to a new form of communication, that has to be worth something, right?

Just MHO.
