I just wanted to double check something before I begin writing. Does it have to include a beast? Can an Elf be enough? as long as it is set in a fantasy setting?

Anything Fantasy. Elfs are good. Heck there are a few Science Fantasy stories entered, so we are not splitting hairs here. Let's see what ya got.

Personally, I just like reading good stories.

Tenth is being gracious for this contest, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. Bring it on!

Here is my short story for the TFTG.

I read this wrong the first time. I thought it was under 6 thousand words and and then I read again and it was actually under 6k "Characters".


I wrote a slightly under 6 thousand word short story lol.

Thanks everybody for your entries. It will be a few days before I am finished reading all the entries and to have a few mods select their favorites for honorable mentions and the winners will be announced before the end of next week.

Just wondering, are you going to post another contest? Maybe sucker another mod to start another? Just wondering what the plans are. I know masqua keeps one going, but it was interesting to have two running at once.
