Please, please, oh please do not assume anything about me.
• I learned Islam directly from the lips of sheikhs, muftis, and imams from a multitude of sects and schools of thought.
• I used to be the Amir and Treasurer of an entire Muslim community.
• I have a large collection of acclaimed and respected Islamic literature by some of the most trusted classical scholars and writers.
• I am knowledgable in the Arabic language.
I am an ex Muslim (radical fundamentalist). I am an apostate. I left the religion after nearly a decade of devout adherance and zealous studies.
"Muslims do believe he was crucified. I am not sure where you get that from?"
I got it from the Qur'an:
That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified
him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only
conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-
- Qur'an, Suratul An-Nisa, Chapter 4 Ayah 157-158
I must start saying that Muslims are not offended by Christians
Muslims ARE offended by Christian beliefs, because in saying, "Jesus is the Son of God" or "Jesus is God in the Flesh" or "God is a Trinity of
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" this is considered a most high sin known as shirk. Shirk is the worship of anything other than Allah, and shirk is also
adding partners to Allah, i.e., (Trinity or Son of God is shirk). It is an unforgivable sin;
Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is
to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.
- Qur'an, Suratul An-Nisa, Chapter 4, Ayah 48
Say; He is God, The One.
God, The Eternal, The Absolute.
He begets not, nor was He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him.
- Qur'an, Suratul Ikhlas (The Purity), Chapter 112
the community where my husband is from wouldn't have allowed me to marry me and embrace me with so much support. He is Muslima nd I am
I am sorry, you have been fooled by another one of Islam's sexist rules. In Islam, Muslim men
are allowed to marry women who are
Muslim, Christian, or Jew. Muslim women
are only allowed to marry Muslim men. Non-Muslim men are not allowed to marry Muslim women.
"Give not your daughters in marriage to idolaters till they believe." [Qur'an 2:221]
"And so are the virtuous women of the believers and the virtuous women of those [Christians and Jews] who have received the Scripture before you
(lawful for you) when you give them their marriage portions." [Qur'an 5:5]
"O ye who believe! When there come to you believing women refugees, examine (and test) them: Allah knows best as to their Faith: if ye ascertain that
they are Believers, then send them not back to the Unbelievers. They are not lawful (wives) for the Unbelievers, nor are the (Unbelievers) lawful
(husbands) for them." [Qur'an 60:10]
"Men are in charge of women because Allah has made one of them to excel the other and because they spend from their means. Therefore the righteous
women are devoutly obedient, and guard in the husband's absence what Allah orders them to guard. As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct,
admonish them, refuse to share their beds, beat them, but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means. Surely, Allah is Ever Most High,
Most Great." [Qur'an 4:34]
