Peter.....you may not understand this but now there are a lot of NHL teams using the NHS....so there are TWO "books" you need to have....one for NHS modified teams ....and one for traditional teams,

Now Peter ..."the NHS" doesnt need this much data but you do....so you really have NO TIME TO WASTE.....this means the NHS has no time to waste because it has to teach YOU......

You cannot follow convention here Peter........just hurry up and get things accomodated.......maybe tell Darryl not to underestimate Babcock and that he should not only make him the best paid HC in the NHL but he should slap another mill and 1/2 onto the number so Babcock can hire the NHS on his own dime as a personal assistant.

Any coach coming in will need to deal with the NHS because of league evolution.NHS/Oiles historic schtick is 2ndary now.ANYBODY-ANYWHERE in the NHL who wants to win needs to be in tune with the NHS.....ANYONE....including Babcock.

Peter,if you need an example of what the NHSs role is look up the episode of Air Aces about Robin Olds,simply think of Robin as the NHS and then watch how he executes the OPTIMAL execution of a superior process by LETTING THE MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS share leadership responsibility.Olds MANAGED THE DYNAMICS.

Peter,some perspectives are simply one-offs and are exceptionally rare....the NHS is GENERATIONAL possibly more.So was Robin Olds.Could be the most important piece of video you ever watch.......because you see Peter Robin is a hero of the NHSs because he knew and used the Winning Formula.Pay attention to the belief the real men had in Robin but how at the same time every single one of them are still to this day 100% tuned or dialed in to their particular roles in that beautifull fate destined action,they OWN their roles and the OWN their loyalty to the catalyst of their NEW BELIEF IN THEMSELVES AS A GROUP THE BELIEF THAT THEY COULD WIN TOGETHER.The NHS is your Robin Olds Peter.All you need to know is that a winner is walking into the room....let the rest just evolve.Just like Olds knew all the pieces he needed were already there for him so does the NHS know all the pieces are there for it.This is a management issue a perspective issue,a belief issue,a loyalty issue I guess this is what ITS ALL ABOUT.No one cared that Robin had not engaged in over 20 years or that all he could fly was prop planes and that he had never even sat inside of a Jet Fighter .They just knew he was a winner who wasnt afraid to get his hands dirty and who was all-in-all-the-time.


We had outstanding results which we had planned for. Those were the words of a brave young man who believed in what he was doing in his process because HE knew it by heart because he was part of the process itself and he knew it.Every man stood up to be counted.

Here is the NHS take on it.Before we get going ...for the record...the NHS believes Gretzkys and Crosbys careers were both stalled for the exact same reasons.When Wayne was traded to LA the screwball Melrose mismanaged him and did not respect him......same in Pittsburg they are now under-appreciating Sidney.....they are trying to integrate more players into an NHS style platform because of Malkin skillset but they cant do it....they NEED to ALL CATALYSE AROUND SIDNEY....to win Cups anyways.You cannot do with the pens roster what the Oilers can do with theirs.No one can do what the Oilers can now officially do....make history.The pens are best served letting Crosby execute with more committed less skilled independant thinking roster....no one knows how hard Wayne was on every teammate he ever had insisting on consistancy above all else.....Sid and Wayne NEED to be able to ANTICIPATE exactly what their teammates will do AT ALL TIMES.....then they become MONSTERS ON THE ICE AS INDIVIDUALS.Right now the Oilers have Nuge-Eberle-Hall-Yakupov-Draisaitl-McDavid all players other NHL teams would try to catalyse around given the chance to do so.So you see the oilers ENTIRE CORE THINKS THE SAME and this EXCELLENT REALITY means it should be and is very easy to bring them together to execute a SYSTEM which is diametriclly opposite to Wayne and Sidneys management process and exponentially more powerfull and impactfull because it is executed by the entire roster.This system is called Moma2s NewAge Hockey System.You WILL NEVER get this core to "play down" to support a process and get your full value from them in any plausable ways you need to creaate a PROCESS which OPTIMISES THEM ALL EQULLY OVER 60 MINUTES with parity and consistancy which to anyones eye means in-your-face, strike first with hurtfull punishment, aggressive ,4 lines of wide-open high speed violently supported offense.


Sidney was able to execute a one-dimensional dynamic management process on the ice in that environment.The stats based catalysed and expressed team structures and buy-in levels of everyone to these LIFELONG STAND-BY PERSPECTIVES.....created a perfect environment for Crosby to emulate wayne Gretzks on-ice management process.

Sidney simply needs STRUCTURE....any type of structure coming out of any type of system and he will destroy opponents.The more KISS and error free the system structure the MORE damage Sidney can inflict on opponents.

This since Waynes introduction of it as an on-ice management process has become know as traditional in nature and many teams with 1 or 2 special players execute this way sucessfully in the NHL.

HOWEVER PETER......you DO NOT HAVE THIS OPTION......you CANNOT ASK OR EXPECT YOUR ELITE SKILLED ROSTER TO PLAY ITSELF DOWN TO THE LEVELS TEAM CANADA PLAYERS PLAY THEMSELVES DOWN TO OVER 82 GAMES.....it is not possible for them to do this without self-destructing mentally......as Dallas clearly illustrated to us all in living colors.

That was where Eakins hung himself and exposed his personal weaknesses in terms of being defensively one-dimensional with no reasonable capacity to visualise or create offense at the NHL LEVEL.He tried to get the players to play their skillsets DOWN to create an NHS dictated EveryMan platform......but he tried to superimpose this NHS concept into a defensive dominated process when the NHS designed it for a completely OFFENSIVE PROCESS.The NHS EveryMan idea is to BRING THE AVERAGE SKILLSET LEVEL UP ACROSS THE BOARD BY DESIGNING A PROCESS SUITED TO THE LEAST SKILLED OF THE CORE GROUP....which in the Oilers case means creating an offensive monster of machine.Dallas tried to drag the average mean skill level DOWN to execute an NHS concept which by proxy when done right brings the average mean skill level UP.Square peg-round hole.

There is no traditional process in existance and recognised which can possibly optimise the Oilers unique roster without picking it to pieces.

What is needed is a Man with Plan who can walk in the door....look around the room....and say "ok fellas it looks like we have everything we need to get the job done sitting right here in the room,lets get started" then simply get to work.

Any monkeys Uncle could tell you the Oilers as they stand have a Championship roster....this is INDISPUTABLE.....exactly as they are to the NHS they are next seasons Stanley Cup Champions.The NHS sees no reason why not...sans McDavid.He is simply on the Oilers Train now which left the Station the day Taylor Hall skated onto the ice with an Oildrop on his chest.McDavid will never drive this team through its prime....he will not be able to better Nuge IMHO....he will INHERIT A COMPLETE PROCESS IN 5-6 YEARS.This Oilers Train has been gaining speed and momentum for years now,believe me Conner will have to put out to keep up to the core group in Edmonton.....the defensive responsibilitys will not fail to materialise for Conner and he WILL HAVE TO ADJUST.....the Oilers CAN NOT be managed in the traditionally percieved BEST WAY FOR CONNER so no friends he WILL NOT EXPLODE ONTO THE SCENE.......the Oilers CANNOT project the one-dimensional on-ice management process Sidney just used and we just identified and quantified [perfect for guys like Gagner-Nuge-McDavid-Gretzky].......their entire roster goes against this grain so they must become MORE OFFENSIVE THAN THIS TRADITIONAL PROCESS......Conner will be stepping into situation of DYNAMIC PARITY and there will be no opportunity to substantially outproduce anyone else by any massive margin without compromising the process the Oilers unique roster must use.Which after NHS modifications will project 1-2nd line NHL levels of offense from FOUR LINES CONSISTANTLY AND WITH 100% PARITY.Producing record breaking levels of offense.

What Sidney can project out of his structures in terms of on-ice management impacts has been transposed onto and into a PROCESS called Moma2s NewAge Hockey System and with it the Oilers can have an "entire roster" capable of of executing the exact impacts Sidney does for 60 minutes.Hence 4-7 goals per game.Consistantly.New Oilers and NHL records produced by a unique and NewAge superior PROCESS executed by a unique and NewAge group of superior players.

With the NHS implemented the Oilers CAN ADD 3-5 TOUGH NASTY PLAYERS all in the bottom six of the current roster without losing any offense at all in fact at the GAIN of offense--change of identity to a deadly serious wining one--but increase in offense.

Add the 3-5 tough players....add the NHS Process and then rip the Stanley Cup out of everyones nervous [they know its coming]sweaty undeserving hands and keep it for ten years.Erase the Oilers skid marks with a historic level of domination epic enough to remove the stains on the Oildrop time has put there.

We discussed this,you want territorial protective willing natural nasty hurt you first fighters that will ALWAYS lay punishment on an opponent BEFORE fighting...we want the guys who hurt with crosschecks and pain for where you are on their ice or who you intimidate on their ice and fight you when you defend yourself ....those mentalitys....with high skill levels.....so this MUST BE THE BOTTOM OF THE PICKLE BARREL where ALL NHL TEAMS bury players for a variety of reasons,usually reasons which create monster payback attitudes within these men which need an outlet like the Oilers where they can not only vent their physical frustrations by taking violent rightfull process roles but ALSO LIVE UP TO THEIR OWN OFFENSIVE EXPECTATIONS which had been suppressed artificially prior to getting to Edmonton.These guys will have something to prove their entire careers.Simply refer to the Dynasty Oilers which wether anyone League-wide likes it or not[vanity kills]is the closest to a template for todays unique Oilers as exists to illustrate that a LOT of these "deep in the Pickle Barrel" type players with a LOT TO PROVE were cycled in and around the CORE GROUP.....this is the same process the Oilers of today MUST USE and the player types needed now are EXACTLY THE SAME....NHL evolutions have NOT CHANGED THESE REQUIREMENTS......

You want A LOT OF MEN WITH A LOT OF MASSIVE CHIPS ON THEIR SHOULDERS....so you may....TEACH THEM HOW TO in a satisfying progressive evolving group actioned stakeholder driven manner DROP THOSE CHIPS ON OPPONENTS IN A POUNDING OFFENSIVE SMASHING 82+ times per year.There are a lot of guys with offensive teeth who were pigeon holed and suppressed who are big fast and miffed off at the world,tons of them ,time to start choosing.OKC might get a LOT TOUGHER NEXT SEASON.Simply because now that the CORE IS SET FOR A DECADE the Oilers need to re-set their development process to begin providing the proper HIGH LEVEL TOUGHER THAN NORMAL AND MORE SKILLED THAN NORMAL support pieces needed to cycle through and around them as the group evolves,these support players must give and sacrifice the body much more and will have to be CYCLED over the years,but they ALL MUST BE DRIVEN.Now the Oilers development program must include 30+% nasty willing types.More than in supports now by far.

Unfortunately the Oilers OKC will become a Bad-Boys camp by proxy producing Boston/Philly type players with high skill and high moxy and size who can come in to support the core with immediate FORCE AND VIOLENCE AT NHL LEVELS ,this process will need to produce players like this for 6+ years so it will be a wasteland for smaller offensive types,a wonderland for a select few tougher little squirts with high offense though who will always need to be there .Now the Oilers OKC staff have a NEW TASK ...to now begin a long term 6+ yeaar process of producing a specific type of NHL player with an entirely opposite set of physical and mental process habits......they need to teach their systems to tougher nastier types of players with much different mind-sets and these men who will all be similar in every way will need to accept and succeed in EVERY SYSTEM OR PROCESS ROLE they will encounter in the NHL.Now there will be more parity and opportunity for tough nasty skilled d-men and power-forwards to be noticed,less focus on balanced roster types and on offense from smaller medium to tiny men like forwards....a unique opportunity for some.A 6+ year opportunity.Methinks we will soon see the OKC fellas being tutored full-time on and off the ice by some serious ex-NHL tough guys on every aspect of batteling in the NHL.


Note to NHS....Nick Ritchie....we said it long ago....get him....its his "internal process" you want.He can be carved into shape.

Set the Bar for the word Dynasty at SIX+ STANLEY CUPS IN A ROW.Put it where NO ONE WILL TOUCH IT FOR 50 YEARS.

If you cant even believe in and then visualise this right now you are probably not the right people to be managing this unique historic group.Becaause this group CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS TOGETHER......they must be lead by Men who CAN see this future for them,who CAN help them learn how to help each other make it happen.The NHS would make it work because it has the VISION to see it working.

Methinks people underestimate exactly where the Oilers were before they got McDavid.But somehow I see Conner feeding Nail except Nuge is the lefty who must gel with Nails one-timer obviously because those two could be NHL elite together....Conner is a Righty who will be setting up Hallsy for his underutilised but deadly accurate one-timers we rarely see.If Taylor makes 2 small adjustments to the mechanics of his set-up and release of that shot he will open eyes everywhere even to his minor hockey coaches who never taught him to focus on it enough like he needs to do now that Conner is here and properly handed to feed him where he needs to be.

I just cannot see improving the Club by touching any Core players this coming year,changes can be considered if this team cannot make the Playoffs based on evolving maturity of the core and continuity of coaching with Nelson coming in with a results based opportunity to stay till the teams results let him down, the men will be able to get their rightfull degree of say but will HAVE TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED INDIVIDUALLY EVERY GAME TO KEEP NELLY IN PLACE.That is a lot of pressure and committment from every man.And truth be told this time if the group doesnt gel behind Nelly unfortunately even the NHS sees at least 1 core player moving before the trade deadline next year,only a playoff bound record will stop changes everywhere.Oilers uper management have a unique opportunity where the MEN and the COACH both PROJECT THE WISH TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER AND HAVE PRODUCED THE RESULTS TO DATE TO BACK THIS UP.....which is diametriclly opposite to the cluster-puck Eakins had master-minded.The current nelson led roster has an OPTIMAL BONDING OPPORTUNITY NOW....they ALL HAVE A COMMON GROUP GOAL TO FIGHT FOR A COMMON BATTLE-CRY......only a luntic would overlook this obviou s dynamic right Bob?Right Peter?Right Mike[come in as a mentor you are a legend and Nelly is worth it and if you promise him the full-reins after you rack up 3 Cups together in handshake deal Nelly will stay]?

You know you guys dont need so much help,just constant gardening and oversight....the consistant injection of dynamic objectivity is critical to keep your stats-heavy perspectives balanced....think of it as your alter-ego speaking...Moma2...the INTUITION and power projected from it you always find with your stronger female role models and partners.Think of how wonderfully things CAN work when both perspectives blend together the right ways.Then think about what happens when one side of the equation becomes DOMINANTLY STRONG AND INFLUENTIAL....in todays world we call it divorce....so you see you can divorce yourself from your own processes if you dont have a balanced insight leading a balanced valuation process leading a balanced foresight .And for the record...NO NO NO...there does not need to be a 50/50 volume of inputs for things to work well.....usually the Intuitive side applies less volume of inputs at more critical times and is given exponential respect and is the PROBLEM SOLVING SIDE which is looking FORWARD SUPPORTING THE CORE PROCESSES....the EXACT way the NHS was designed specificlly to fit into the Alpha-Male mindset and existing traditional stats based processes seamlessly.

There is no mystery to why the Intuitive side of fractured partnership normally walks away with more tangible assets....they have been thinking ahead the entire time anyways so this is to be expected.Its also why the NON_INTUITIVE stats based numbers side is always so surprised when the game is suddenly over and they have lost.Poor buggers really dont see it coming.

Just because YOU dont "believe"something could or will or is going to HAPPEN TO YOU....doesnt mean it will not manifest at any given moment....your belief means little when someone has superior Intuition based anticipatory tactical foresight .In fact when facing the NHS YOUR[stats based] BELIEF BECOME YOUR ACHILLIES HEEL.The stronger it is the more it lets you down at crunch-time.

Peter,now you are beginning to understand the type of feedback Mac-t has been consistantly exposed to......the Oilers HAVE HAD EXTREME LEVELS OF SUPPORT AND LOYALTY GIFTED TO THEM ......but the respect this type of support traditionally generates has NEVER MANIFESTED ITSELF.........these are elite high level management analysis and assesments....as you very well now know.....they have been steady consistant and on focus and task for 4+ years.....the interpretations of the NHS message as quantified and executed by the Oilers have for various reasons been misguided and off-base enough to stutter-step everything repeatedly.These repeated consistant long term multi-decade disconnects were caused by an evolving constantly nurtured growing over-balanced stats perspective internally trying to keep itself alive and powerfull....we identified this and partial measures were taken to remediate the imbalance,however I believe DrkHrse and Dellow are not out of the processes yet so the cancer is still there.

You see Peter,by proxy the majority of stats catalysed minds perspectives and therefore people see all the ways things can NOT end up with the Stanley Cup in the present groups Hands at the end of next seasons dance and they proceed upon this forecast.........the NHS on the other hand can ONLY SEE THE OILERS HOLDING THE STANLEY CUP UP ON HOME ICE NEXTS SEASON and it proceeds that way.You BUILD NEW REALITIES AND MAKE OTHERS FACE THEM YOU DONT FACE OTHER PEOPLES.Leaders and winners face nothing but the future fate and themselves and this is who they answer to.

The status quo has nowhere to base their vision on because it is stats based regressive and reactionary....the NHS HAS A PROCESS which is Intuition based action focused and progressive.......the status quo CANNOT INITIATE CHANGES without consent......the NHS denies consent and forces changes.

You can only point to past stats used to predict future results sans dynamic causality specifics to tell me why my processes arent superior but I can illustrate dynamiclly why your processes are vastly inferior but only prove it in your realm when my processes are named validated then officially implemented and then destroy your statistical baselines which is what the NHS has been doing since its inception unofficially.The "official" part is not there but the STATISTICAL RECORD IS ABSOLUTELY THERE.

I can tell you how many goals and points the roster will produce and I can attatch specific names to specific numbers and then manage things over 82 games and Playoffs to dynamiclly top those expectations,all you can do is look at past recent era stats and note the ceilings then make an educated guess how far from this baseline on either side the current Oilers assets can manage to end up.

I can say 447 goals is doable and also SAY WHO WILL SCORE THEM....then make it happen.

Of course the Stanley Cup is found within this process...BUT WITHIN IT....not ATOP IT.

The Stanley Cup CAN be the by-product of a greater process,like building NHL history,not every group can learn to think this way but at the same time ANY GROUP CAN DO IT.

Traditionally the Stanley Cup is the sole primary driver behind everything being actioned on every level,this is what was being applied to the current Oilers roster whcih caused such epic roster-wide disconnects.The Oilers need a NewAge set of performance parameters and expectations far exceeding the norm in the NHL or possibly any other Pro Sport.

But to set the bar this high....an OPTIMAL PROCEES which makes the goals attainable must be bestowed upon the Roster.

Enter....the NHS....do your homework fellas.

Hartley.....you need to simply use your forecheck to get to the pucks and players BEFORE they can initiate their first d-zone transition....if you wait and try to meet them in the n-zone you will fail.....after game 1 you decided to try to use your speed and anticipation to outmanouver them,you planned on getting a step ahead of them,but this was focusing only on the offense you hoped to create in their zone...... you need to focus on creating your offense 200 feet from your own net.This comes from focusing on their zone 100% of the time,you need possesion changes much earlier and in a different area of the ice.....their area....use your roster attributes to be like wasps,fast annoying and stinging,so get the high speed multi-tiered forecheck going one deep one mid zone or 1/2 wall and one hovering just inside the n-zone and ensure that 25% of the time HUGE STINGS are given by conducting epic hits open ice or on their boards out of the speed momentum and power of the forecheck.Use the contact tacticlly,25% of the time.Ya ya ya Hartley you are welcome.I feel sorry for you cuase your heart/integrity-tank is only half-full and you cannot even thank the NHS and Burke now owes Kevin Lowe one because if it wasnt for him none of this would be online.Now do as you are told.This is all you get without posting up.

LOYALTY....NHS..definition....Kevin Lowe......100% the sterling example.....what he has given the Oilers long term and with no holds barred is pure unadultered Loyalty.No one can claim Lowe made decisions for himself....they may claim his decisions do not run paralell to their own perspectives and as such that he made errors of judgement on a md-long term basis .....but this has nothing to do with Loyalty or intentions....the best of which he had in 99% of his dynamic resoultions.No one is perfect ....but this man is loyal.

BOLD.....Craig MacTavish.........this man is what the NHS defines as BOLD.....he has accomplished something historical and epic in nature....Craig managed to KEEP AN NHL HISTORIC CORE OF ELITE PLAYERS TOGETHER while facing castigation-isolation-and intimidation from nearly the entire NHL powerbase which made his job nearly impossible to do.....Craig FOUGHT OF THE BARBARIANS WHO WERE RALLYING AT THE GATE ....long enough for McDavid to show up on the horizon pushing his steed hard towards the engaged battle at the Gates of his new Kingdoms door.The Barbarians wish to break apart the kingdom and spread its riches far and wide thereby enriching the entire NHL and leaving E-Town a wasteland of discombobulation.....they came together to do this......but now that they can all see Saint-McDavid...or St-Mac....riding in hard from a distance they are splitting up their ranks and going home.

At the end of the day the Loyalty of Kevin Lowe and the Boldness of Mac-T enabled by this teamwork allowed them to keep together first a Franchise which was a battle won which Kevin Lowe will eternally be creditied for winning then the development and structural management of an epic historical group of elite players AGAINST-ALL-ODDS keeping them together buying us all a chance to possibly see a Generational Dynasty come together to carry the NHL into the next 20 years.Kevin Lowe deserves a spot on Hockey Canada where his loyalty can represent Canada IMHO....he has earned it.Mac-T deserves to remain a part of this special group because he has Fathered them in to all of their careers and he represents continuity to the men.

The change of the Guard required has happened....now stop-drop-and-roll......leave Nelson where he is and give him the chance he has earned or you send the wrong message to the entire roster......you will undermine EVERY LAST MAN and the NHS doesnt care about your reasons for doing this....if you do it you are derelict....there is NO DEFENSE fo any type of regressive fracturing action under any circumstances...if Babcock or Mclellan or whoever they want to kick the tires on wishes to come here then they may come in to mentor Nelson while he gets his 2 year chance.....he has earned a 2 year deal....the [con]Artist formerly known as Eakins get 4 years....he gets the Gold-mine and Nelly gets the shaft?????No way fellas.


Head Coaches have more reason to be humble and willing to make concessions to come to coach this epic historical roster...this is the PENULTIMATE COACHING CHALLENGE IN FACT IT IS A ......GENERATIONAL ONE ....EVERY NHL HEAD COACH SHOULD WANT TO TAKE ON.But right now it is Todd Nelsons Team where it counts most to the Winning Formula.

Todays NHL is becoming a Special Teams game.......and this trend will quicken....nelson has shown exceptional ability in what the NHS sees as the "NHLs" most critical area of the game today the PP, this is not to be underestimated one iota.Simply because the writing is on the wall...the Oilers will dominate the NHL on the PP for the next 5+ years.....the NHL HAS TO SUPPORT THE OILERS NOW AND MAKE THOSE CALLS ----early and OFTEN in McDavids career to CLEARLY set a League-wide precedent of hands off because if you end his career you end your own ,after what the NHL allowed to happen to Sidney no one is willing to see a repeat of that tradgedy of a Hall-of-Fame career de-railed again..every NHL player needs to get the memo in Conners Rookie season ----BECAUSE OF MACDAVID AND THE REST OF THE CORE WHICH HAS REMAINED INTACT .....because..suck it up Bettman....the OILERS NOW DEFINE THE NHLs FUTURE.....how the Oilers core goes so goes the NHL.Ya didnt break the roster up Gary....no one is doing it now......McDavid will settle in to the OPTIMAL GROWING ENVIRONMENT and will take the NHL into a NEW and PROGRESSIVE ERA.So on one hand Gary ....got ya...and on the other hand...good job.....you are a slippery survivor if the NHS has ever seen one,you have learned to over-swing the pendulum at both ends of its limits.

The Ducks may take a few "process" based penaltys....but get frigging real.... the Flames are initiating fouls on every single possesion in their own zone because they are in no ways able to handle a premier NHL Power-Forward team....so the question is...when did the NHLs refs begin handing out wins for just showing up with a bunch of wet-nosed kids being held out like a sheild????

Over the next 5 years Oilers will dominate Team Canada Rosters.....it was inevitable.....and they are surging as they have only now become fully NHL Matured.

Sidney got to feel bit of what Sam Gagner had cooking in Edmonton because Gagners signature is written ALL OVER Hallsy and Ebbs as well as the rest of the Oilers core.Now Sid can feel what is rapidly coming down the Pipe in the NHL...the ground is shaking and things are falling over everywhere as this Oilers pressure cooker gets ready to come out of the gate flying at full speed......which is coming this season by proxy of a complete NHL core maturing together.....THIS IS THE YEAR WE SEE the NHL last 4-5 years worth of elite talent hit the ground running....anything could happen.....god help the NHL if they push off the season without stumbeling because if they get one foot in front of the other early they could really put some distance between themselves and their PO competition up very early in the season.

Nelson is a No-Brainer.So the HC issue is done to the NHS.Nelly has earned at least a 1 year deal with a 1 year ryder......so he is properly rewarded for his loyalty and patience......no ones candle burns forever.

Nelly deserves to ride the wave he has built until it begins to crest or fall......Either Mclellan or Babcock SHOULD understand that this is the next DYNASTY already....that there will be humps to get over....that even if they are capable to lead the roster they need a proper chemistry friendly entry....that this particular group has been through more changes than normal already....... they can PROCESS another change no problems now ....these guys might have things to prove to THEMSELVES NOW...you see DUM-DUMS the MEN want to prove to everyone that THEY WERE NOT THE DEMISE OF 4+ NHL Coaches......and to be frank who can blame them they need to re-gain their inner mojos.To do this THEY need to be ALLOWED TO SUPPORT AND CARRY NELSON AS FAR AS THEY CAN TAKE HIM....the men WANT to do his.....they NEED to do this.....and the NHS believes they will take Nelly to the Stanley Cup celebration in E-town this coming season and no one will be able to stop them.

Letting the Core take accountability for their own futures by supporting their coach is EXACTLY WHAT SATHER HAD COOKING....for different reasons though...Slats was SOLVING YOUNG MENS PROBLEMS 24/7 and so he was always supported by the majority of the room with true passion....he loyally and privately helped them with real problems and they really played hard FOR HIM to be loyal in return on the same level.Todd Nelson has developed an EQUALLY POWERFULL paralell dynamic with the present Core...this FACT means he has accomplished something even Babcock and Mcllelan and others may not be able to do on their 1st tries.What was said in Slats office stayed there until he sanded down the sharp edges of the issue....I BELIEVE nelson has the same level of trust and methods....I believe what is said in Nellys Office STAYS THERE and that Nelly would go above and beyond for his men.....it is what it is...you can deny this perspective but all roads lead to Rome .

I can see Babcock being this way because he is from where the NHS came from so it was bred into him.....I dont know Mclelland but he seems to be the same type of fella.So these guys DO fit the profile however the FACT REMAINS that they would both be brought in to ONLY TAKE THEIR SHOT AT re-creating the massive dynamic head-way Nelson has made with this Core group in terms of stitching the Coaches and Players tightly together.

One would be remiss to not point out that the OKC PROCESS is still yeilding winning results.....so it is not just Nelly...Nelly is ALSO THE RESULT OF A SUCESSFULL PROCESS JUST NOW PAYING DIVIDENDS.....the huge investment in setting up a stable development program and in producing HOMEGROWN VALUE in everyone is finally paying off in Nelson like it did in Gagner who was let go in one of the biggest mistakes in Oilers history.Todd Nelson is not "just another Oilers Head Coaching candidate" ...he is the HOMEGROWN INCUMBANT and is currently in a dominant front-runner position for a constellation of reasons....so to all those trying to force some different perspective on us all ha ha ha it wont fly for you.

It is with undeniable clarity that the NHS declares NELLY to be the man to bust this group onto the scene....that he has EARNED HIS SHOT....he doesnt need the 4 years Eakins needed....Nelly will earn his years after he wins the Cup this year.

Babcock and Mclellan should both be able to take a similar 2 year deal to see how the dynamic works itself out...neither of those men would lose value in 2 years even if they hung em up completely and layed on the beach.If things go south the Oil can cut thei losses and simply buy-out the single year left on the loose end if one exists.Low maintenance high risk performance based easy-out contracts which give the men very good leverage and dont encumber dynamic development of the group externally..... then be BOLD and let Nelly keep things moving forward as he has been doing so sucessfully to date.

The Oilers led by Peter or Bob or whoever have suffered far to much regression for far to long.....to many stutter-steps and fallbacks......there is no more wiggle room for regression of any type now because REGRESSION IS NOW CONNECTED TO THE ENTIRE ROSTERS PRIMARY "quit" RESPONSE.... this means that when they see something coming and they cant do anything to stop it and they suffer a negative result they will begin to give up internally like they did for Eakins ....this is the scarring from DEs mismanagement.

The Oilers know Nelly can lead and support them into winning process...they KNOW THIS.....and you can see this belief shining through in their efforts....especially how they finished the year...for the first time in many years the Oilers ended a non-playoff season SURGING HARD.....this is the red-flag to the NHL that ...THEY ARE READY.

So you see the "option" does not exist of slipping back even for one more year to let Babcock or Maclellan try to build chemistry Todd Nelson has already managed to manifest....after 4 fruitless tries at finding a perfect match Nelly has made the key turn...as we say in hockey....it is what it is.The Oilers Core will bear fruit this season and we will see lots of improvements across the board in terms of consistancy of production over 82 games.


The development of Anton Lander is what should be on the lips of everyone right now because he is developing into a very very effective 2 -way forward on every level.These are the types of evolutions the Oilers needed the most,specific ones which support their core like Anton has learned to do and MPS was in the process of learning before he was moved.

I am still seeing the look in Crosbys eyes when he was on the ice with Hall and Ebbs.....wow was he like a kid in a candy store or what?

I will take Sidney Crosbys evaluation of the Oilers contigent 100%......and his eyes said it all....Sidney DID NOT MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE HIS LESSERS......Sidney FIT INTO THEM instead of the other way around and this chemistry was instant.

Ducks you are not hitting instead you are playing a peripheral passing game....stop the first pass and DRIVE THE PUCKS TO THE NET 1/2/ THE TIME.......you are not using your size right.....they are staying active and on the pucks and pressuring you quickly just looking to interfere with your puck control and delay your passes they arent HITTING YOU but they are getting there fast and using their sticks....so simply SKATE THE PUCKS TO THE NET THE OLDE FASHIONED WAY....get more urgent and KISS....just drive it to the net to you can force them to use their bodies and mass to stop you,you do this by LUGGING IT TO THE NET and driving it at them.

The Flamers are BLUFFING YOU by closing the gaps o you extra quick to hury you up and to get their sticks on pucks NOT TO INITIATE CONTACT.......you need to PUSH BACK ON THEM BY DRIVING PUCKS ....THROUGH THEM.....like I said CENTER-OF-BODYMASS hits driving right through them....just put the shoulders down and drive it in .......this will work well.

Remember Kessler is a master at sneaking away on teams and getting in behind them.....ASK HIM where he wants to hit them and then set him up where he likes it most.

You Ducks need to MAKE THE FLAMES get involved in contact.....drive it in on them....push them back....they are bluff-charging you to close distance and stop your passes...passes you DONT NEED TO BE MAKING....you are already in the o-zone....the passes arent needed every time,big legs have big strides and some guys are 2 1/2 strides from the net on the blueline.......make the Flames take penalties TRYING TO DRAG YOU DOWN AS YOU PENETRATE THE MIDDLE WHERE THEY ARE THE WEAKEST.....if you dont do this ASAP you will be Duck Soup.....seriously.They WILL NOT TAKE PENALTYS HURRYING YOU UP FROM THE PERIPHERY......but if you FORCE THE PUCKS INTO THE MIDDLE ND USE YOUR BIG BODIES you WILL force them to take wayyyy more penaltys.......the Flames WANT you to keep making those periphery passes in their zone,they DONT WANT YOU driving the middle....so dum-dums drive the MIDDLE and take it all the way in dont look for outlet passes drive it in like Tiger Woods used to after to many Scotches.

The Flamers dont want to initiate any contact....so you must FORCE IT BY DRIVING IT TO THE NET FROM ALL AREAS.Use your size.

In your d-zone Ducks remove their blueline management time.....they like to drift pucks in from the edges against the grain a lot,so get your legs moving harder and your sticks extended out there faster DO NOT GIVE THEM THAT PERIPHERY SHOT HURRY THEM UP MORE LOOKING TO HIT THEM CENTER OF CHEST TO DRIVE THEM OUT OF THE ZONE BACK OVER THE BLUELINE BODILY.Come at them fast with sticks extended but with intentions of steamrolling them center-chest backwards and follow through.Be willing to remove their blueline control from the zone man-for-man takeing away a primary pass option from them every time.Removing a Flame from your zone bodily removes him from the playaction....it is a good sacrifice for you because the Flames rely on their structure more because they are smaller they need to 2x team a lot and use their gapping more effectively.Take one Flamer out over the blueline by pushing him out HARD-FAST-CENTER-OF-CHEST and you IMMEDIATLY CREATE A DUCK ADVANTAGE.

When you get in close on the Lames tender try to go upstairs as you drive it in at them because he goes down very early and leaves the top open in close,wait him out then simply roof it.

Give him some top cheeze 2/3 of the time and jam it between his legs the other 1/3 of the time for a period and you will be back in control.

Keep your process the same Ducks just DRIVE 50% o more of your o-zone possesions to the net from all areas and angles...you MUST force the Flames to use their size to stop you to draw penalties and they are making you or allowing you to play a peripheral outside game in their own zone....this is Hartleys game-plan....to allow you the periphery but to get players on the pucks immediatly ...to hurry you up without getting tied up physiclly with you.....so you need to turn the tables on him and run pucks in the olde fashioned way LUG THEM RIGHT THROUGH THE FLAMES DEFENSE...up the middle....from the wings.....from the backboards....from the 1/2 wall. ......greenlight net drives from everywhere as a primary option once the o-zone is gained and do it from EVERYWHERE RANDOMLY.....FINISH THE PLAYS AT THE NET dont look for outlets drive the pucks in with INTENTIONS TO SCORE EVERY TIME.Get GREASY.

Ducks you NEED TO GET YOU STICKS ACTIVE.....KEEP THEM DOWN BUT START SKATING HARDER AND STRETCHING FOR THOSE PUCKS IMMEDIATLY IN YOU OWN ZONE TO STOP THEIR PERIPHERY SHOTS.....they dont have the size to bull it in on you so they need to shoot it in quickly to get zone penetration....they are trying to negate your size advantage so dont let them do it,get ON THE PUCKS IMMEDIATLY IN YOUR OWN ZONE AND DENY THEM THOSE RANDOM SHOTS INTO YOUR WHEELHOUSE.....they arent shots into playactions they are just gaarbage shot they are getting off quickly to penetrate your zone......take away this peripheral zone penetration tactic and they are toothless and cannot bring the pucks in close on you to water-bug you to death like they want to do.

Remove their blueline shots by IMMEDIATLY getting puck focused as you close on them.Extend and pursue them to prevent that 1st shot from the outside.

Ducks you BETTER get driving those pucks to the net like I said.....like NOW.....right to the buckey....you are still tying to get fancy.....they are playing desperate hockey and your urgency is lacking.....begin driving it in and make the game physical so your roster can GET INVOLVED MORE...the Lamers are trying to lull you to sleep.

The Flames kids dont even look concerned....the Ducks have to FORCE THEM TO ENGAGE.....by driving pucks through them to the net NOW EVERY SINGLE SHIFT AND POSSESION....THIS DUCK-TRUCK NEEDS TO GET INTO GEAR.

Telegraph it Ducks...send in the men greenlit to drive it to the bucket,FORCE THE ISSUE EVERY TIME.

Ducks....it is exceedingly had to stop bigger men from executing simple give-and-goes....just lumber in on them and drive it to the net.KISS.

Thats it Ducks keep driving it to their net like you are excellent work......but take a few from behind and wap them around.....look at the awsome reactions you got as soon as you began to pressure them inside their zone instead of playing a periphery passing game......now use those big bodies to break out of your cycles on the 1/2 wall and drive it to the net.......drive it RIGHT IN CLOSE.....use wrap-arounds......whatever it takes.

Just hang onto the pucks and DRIVE THEM IN CLOSE.........turn your backsides to the little gnats and simply muscle your way to the bucket.Make them worry about your shots from driving it in close....make them focus on your sticks and body control the areas where YOU DOMINATE.....DRIVE IT TO THE NET FELLS....GET GREASY.

Keep the bench talking and involved.....remind everyone to keep their sticks DOWN ON THE ICE and to do this they need to keep their legs driving hard.......remind everyone to TALK IT UP OUT THERE to COMMUNICATE WITH CONFIDENCE.....remind everyone to pick a different shot spot every time you are on the bench for your coming shift...set a pre-concieved shot spot...5-hole top shelf whatever while you are resting between shifts for the upcoming one....learn to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.Then simply let the playactions evolve and your shots go where you pre- planned when there is room.

Now THAT IS CALLED GREASY....this is what happens when you drive it to the net....good things.....now bust this one open ....rinse and repeat.....this IS THE WAY TO BUST UP THE LAMES.Drive it to the net and force them to take penalties.Cogliano has a deadly wrap-around ...ask him nicely and maybe he will show it off for us all.

Ok the Refs are not calling ANYTHING ON THE FLAMES,they are double teaming Ducks and wrapping them up with sticks and not getting called........the Ducks NEED TO BE URGENT NOW and drive it in HARD BECAUSE NOTHING IS GOING TO BE CALLED UNLESS IT IS BLATANT.....so EXPLODE TOWARDS THE NET LOOKING FOR CONTACT TO DRIVE THROUGH.They will be allowed to drape onto you so your best bet remains DRIVING IT ALL THE WAY IN.

Ducks YOU NEED TO GET PUCK FOCUSED SOONER IN YOUR ZONE AND REMOVE THEIR Blueline tactical catalysing by removing their 1ST SHOTS.....I mean get on the PUCKS IMMEDIATLY AS SOON AS THEY ENTER YOUR ZONE TWO FEET IN....give them NO INITIAL SHOTS BECAUSE THEY WILL TAKE THEM FROM ANYWHERE.They are triggering their entire offense from those blueline shots.Seriously.

Those nice give and goes look good well paced short on the tape passes KISS...perfect....nd nice job of adjusting to drive it to the net and use less periphery focus,good job of continuing to generate o-zone possesions and entries,your process is working well now,just keep up with the adjustnments a you are doing....but do something about their blueline tactical management coming out of those random 1st shots.....they arent waiting for structure to build they are just drifting them in...but it is an NHS tactic they are executing it is not random and they have planned for it......so hit them ON THE BLUELINE AND SEPERATE THEM FROM THE PUCKS ASAP.They are essentially just drifting pucks on net and looking for sympathetic rebounds,so REMOVE THEM FROM PUCKS BEFORE OR ON THE BLUELINE and you cripple them.

Just keep the drive-it-in focus now and remove their time on the blueline with EXTENDED AGGRESSIVE PUCK PURSUIT IMMEDIATLY.....get the legs driving the stick down and extended and DO NOT LET THEM DRIFT PUCKS IN from the outside.This is why they are not winding up for slappers...it is tactical management but I just showed you the easy way to SHUT IT DOWN BY SHUTTING DOWN THE 1ST SHOT FROM THE PERIPHERY.


Hartley is reading this to....so be aware he will greenlight his d-men to drive it in and to go on extended possesions on their own to evade your stick pressure....so REMEMBER WHAT I SAID ABOUT DRIVING THEM RIGHT OUT OF THE ZONE BODILY WITH EXPLOSIVE CHARGES WITH LEGS DRIVING AND STICKS EXTENDED AIMING FOR CENTER=OF-CHEST EXPLOSIVE CONTACT......come in high speed stretched out for the pucks but FOLLOW THROUGH CENTER-OF-CHEST......just close fast then collapse yourself into a cannon-ball hitting them center-of -bodymass.... a target hard to miss which lets you DRIVE THEM BACK OUT OF THE ZONE.You want them to end up going backwads every time so they are removed from the playaction and hopefully the zone one-for-one.

Nice net pressure fellas....this IS YOUR WHEELHOUSE and you are back in it.....keep rolling now.

Ducks dont waste your hard zone entry work on 40 foot shots...finish the job by driving it all the way in and deking at the net.The longer shots are giving the Lames rebounds creating good pucks to turn back on you,keep possesion and rag it right in to the net then keep it there as long as you can.Dirty greasy trench hockey now boys played close to the ice , these are the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Stop taking it to the boards get yourselves tuned to the net and in position to drive it forward,the Lames close fast and as soon as you turn your shoulders and body to the boards you lose the advantage if you want to drive it back into them which is exactly what you wish to do.

DRIVE IT TO THE NET THE HARD WAY FELLAS.....ALL THE WAY TO THE NET AND DEKE EM OUT OR LEAVE IT AT HIS FEET TO FIGHT FOR IT.

Be aggressive now.....why not......it is what it is.Who wants it more?Hard to tell right now.
