There were a few things from last game you need to address Nelly, they pre-scouted you well and were prepared especially for your defensive zone focus and your n-zone structure.I will not pick it apart. They were one team and there is little chnce the next one will be focusing like they were,so no need to panic, just aknowledge for future use.If this reply to your focus is recurring you might need to adjust on a game-to-game basis, last night they were simply better prepared and had your System pe-scouted and habits well documented, then they surgiclly went to work.It was not an emotional win for them, they followed a gameplan closely. And just let it happen. You should have recognised early on they had your number dialed in...it would have made a difference...your team can make the adjustments for you if you see the need early enough. The n-zone and how they approached your d-zone focus were the keys, they stretched you out then ran the n-zone,then repeated until you broke down, they simply kept running the same sequences of playactions looking to mind-meld you,and it worked out for them. They LULLED you into complacency, they kept pushing the same areas over and over consistantly and in exactly the same ways until something broke down.Your ...consistancy of execution....was what they played off of to make this work...they are playing Kessler hockey,no big deal you stuck to your guns, just making some observations.

It is nice to see Jordan beginning to show the next level of maturity,I see him now taking his leadership role seriously and it is no more evident than in how he has recently been clicking with Yakupov, this is no fluke,Jordan has made the proper effort finally and it is what it is.

Roy is finding his scoring touch again,he needs to keep thinking shot first because he is a Vet and his instincts are very very good,he needs to trust himself to take the shoot first mentality and to let his instincts police his decision making. The team desperately needs a Center who brings the heat every shift and hs a shoot first focus and the skills and NHL experience to back it up,this opens up SO MUCH ICE for linemates and FORCES TRANSITIONS upon the opponent,as well as tking the Tenders focus and stretching it out and away from only the wingers making it tougher on him.RNH WAS in that mode pre-Nelson but he and the team have fallen back on the defense a bit now which is very good to see them do....however he needs to understand why Hrudy was not 100% wrong in his assesment of Nuges current role ,when Ryan uses his aggressive offensive instincts and focus from the 1st minute on and develops a 3 period rythem where he can control the game anerobiclly he begins to TAKE GAMES OVER,when he puts on his hard-hat and decided to be a defense first shut-down type of Centerman he removes his potential for controlling the game himself...he becomes an effective but REACTIONARY IMPACT...when his skillset and NHL experience level dictate he should have already taken the next step and be controlling games regularly as he was doing for long stretch this season, for Nuge this men lethal use of the d-men he is working with....he needs to study harder like Wayne always did...take more and better notes...the NHS is not coming down on Nuge here, just saying that he has the toolbox and now the NHL experience and also the opportunity to take advantage of this constellation of potential and become a top 10 NHL Centerman.

Nelson and every one else need to remember this,Wayne would NOT PASS TO YOU if you didnt bear down and take the opportunitys seriously,if you couldnt put yourself in positions to recieve the pucks and werent willing to shoot from the hip or able to score in this utra-fast manner then you simply did not get the pucks and the Coaches did not punish Wayne for breaking System structure because Wayne WAS THE SYSTEM.

This type of elite puck awareness and respect for the playction is what defines Hall of Fame players from very good nd elite ones,"elite" isnt good enough to make it into the NHL Hall of Fame....you need to find ways to give more than that.

Everyone knew that Wayne was going to hit someone somewhere with a pass every time,so EVERYONE was working on a hair-trigger focus,RNH has the skillset to read the playactions and to keep possesion long enough to consistantly mke these types of plays IF AND ONLY IF the rest of his linemates are focusing on the right mentality in terms of their job...which is to simply be in proper spots and ready to take a pass 100% of the time...support the player with puck possesion by hitting open spots and forcing defenses to transition and to spread out for him, then SHOOT THE PUCK with 100% seriousness knowing you are in the right spot t the right time and the puck is getting to you also at the right time...no need to over-think or even consider passing, just SHOOT because the passer is now working towards your incoming rebound...he is in your head with you so dont waste that connection by not shooting ASAP.He will be seeing your rebound in his head at the same time or before you will be,so just one-time it or whatever it takes to get the puck away.

Taking the extra milisecond to consider passing the puck again after reception....kills the System focus.....you need to remember the object of the game is to deposit the puck in the opponents net as fast as possible and as many times as possible...the perfect game is one where every possesion you get ends up in the opponents net.

The Dynasty Oilers killed teams because they had a bloodlust...they knew the key was to break the opponents spirit by using the scoreboard like a club,so they focused on an elite level of FINISH,their entire System was focused on FINISHING playactions, not engineering them or structuring them. They didnt have a period by period gameplan or rythem, they simply were DEADLY SERIOUS ABOUT FINISHING PLAYACTIONS and the thing that would get you demoted was not breaking system structure or making a mistake leading to a goal against....you would find yourself off your line if you did not capitalise on your opportunitys when you had them....on a Dynasty Team the focus is on the finish.Nelson is respecting this line of thought with J Schultz and look at him now...he is on his way to actually putting up Norris Numbers now that he is being put in the position to succeed due to EVERYONE THINKING SHOOT AND OFFENSE MORE.The stats based defensive schtick was killing the Oilers and now that it has been remediated the Team is fluorishing in every area.

The NewAge Hockey System was created to consistantly produce this type of Oilers Dynasty impact....SPECIFICLLY the Oilers Dynasty style no blending or hybrids here.....the NHS is PURE DYNASTY OILERS IN EVERY WAY.

No one ever SOLVED THE OILERS SECRET, League dynamics and the reality of life changed things and broke the PERFECT TEAM apart......but kid yourself not no one ever solved the Oilers System...no one....ever.It has remained an enigma ,until the NHS was created that is.

What the Team needs now is the quick finish ability, and this is where the NHS excells, what it is designed to produce, staggering overwhelming offense for 60 complete minutes..Nelson is taking them in that direction now,and he is doing so sucessfully, methinks before the season is over the Oilers will go Super-Nova and begin knocking off Playoff bound teams in the process gaining respect and a reputation for next season. Nelson is in it to win it,and this is rubbing off on the team,he pulls no punches he is in it to win every night and he doesnt care who his team is up against.

The NHS core values are evident in Nelsons approaches......stick with him and you will go places.I see a perfect fit .Well when the advnced stats influence is safely way from things I see the perfect fit, right now there is still a high risk sticker on everything the Oilers have done since Eakins left, until the advanced stats focus is removed in its entirity and replaced by a simple traditional focus the danger of the Dallas-Disaster repeating itself over time with the stats influences slowly infecting things and creating the toxic 2nd-guessing Syndrom they are so famous for creating will remain.Tht was a job half-done,and everyone knows what happens when you create those dynamics.Who-ever began the job had enough fore-sight to have considered todays possibilitys of risk with keeping the advanced stats influence tht was HANDPICKED BY EAKINS HIMSELF before Dallas was removed,so they need to finish what they started and trust their initial assesments.

As much as I want to have hope for the current groups future....it is tainted by the overwhelming reality that the SINGLE MOST TOXIC influence related to the Oilers historical lack of success is still very much alive and thriving within the organisations blood-stream ...like the virus advanced stats in any form are.

There was never a negotiating point available in this dynmic, keeping 1/2 of the problem...the most potent half...is simply derelict to the ninth degree....and this particular decision actually goes "against the grain" and we are now left to wonder why this is? What influence was strong enough to cure 1/2 the illness but chose to allow the other 1/2 to remain?/Who pulled the top 1/2 of the sliver and left the bottom half insiide to fester and come back to create worse problems later?

For what reason and on whose reference would you keep 1/2 of the risk around??? Obviously Eakins has made a media attempt to solidify Dellow and his advanced stats schtick...so naturally we must ask if this type of support from an EX-EMPLOYEE who was the ONE WHO HIRED DELLOW is in play here and is now impacting the team even when Dallas himself has been removed?????....is this the bottom half of the sliver causing inflammation already??Maybe it is.Maybe this early warning red-flag moment with Eakins and TSNs Stats people working together to create enough positive overspill to keep Dellow in Edmonton should be the one which is actioned upon?History will show us if this dynamic is present right now and being overlooked.

The NHS uses no stats,Nelson is following NHS focuses, all ANY type of advanced stats inputs will do is screw up his focus and tempt him to 2nd guess himself, stats inevitably create false promises and find ways to disguise and to hide inherant risks your instincts normally save you from taking, advanced stats are a poison-pill in disguise.

Someone has chained the advanced stats Fox inside the Edmonton Oilers Hen-House,the only question remaining is WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT.Why submarine a ship which is righting itself by leaving a gaping hole in its hull?

Nelly, they are stopping your zone entrys, your dump-ins by simply gapping properly and taking the body, you need to either dump-in from further out or earlier and use more speed or simply shoot HARD dump-ins high on the glass looking for big bounces back out in front of the net in behind their d-men,if you can just bounce a few HARD slappers in and bounce few pucks back in behind their d-men who are slow and are who are hanging up high you will force them back and if you get good hard bounces you will force them to TURN around and face their net stutter-stepping them ,try sending 2 men in staggered on the same side keep them close till you hammer it in then have the trailer coming in with more speed follow the puck hard looking for those bounces coming out, instead of feathering it in and then trying to recover it on the boards HAMMER it in with 2 men strong on one side so the late man coming in FASTER with upspeed can blow by everyone...you need these 2 men to time it right, the puck carrier needs to hear a verbal when his support is ready to pull 3rd gear so he can blast the dump-in in on time, remember the man dumping in DOES NOT follow the puck, his UPSPEED support on the same side does that...once the leading man dumps it in he hangs up high trying to cause seperation with their d-men,THEN he comes steaming in a 1/2/step off speed looking to the netfront coming from the middle looking for passes from his support who SHOULD hve blow by their hovering d-men and his teammate who executed the dump-in.This is a small adjustment which will take them apart.HARD DUMP-INS looking for BIG bounces to sneak in behind their d-men,make that puck come bck out on their d-men.

Sorry but this one is as good as yours the Jets suck, just one adjustment on the o-zone entrys, nothing special just an overloaded side on the dump-in...looking to bring some big puck bounces back out to the net front..

This might sound left-field but the NHS says the Jets defensive focus is very vulnerable to the Flying-V formtion, using stacked support to hammer your way into the o-zone ,picking their defense off chest to chest and having the trailer just pick it up nd charge ahead doing the same thing, just one pick t a time right up the middle at 75% speed.Stack 3 or 4 men and just use the Flying-V to bring it up the middle, seriously their defense is bush-league and has comedic structure, they are slow and cant turn,so either use speed and guile or use the Flying-V nd ram it up the middle, there forwards are slow back ..they cheat...and they isolate their d-men a lot and those d-men like to hang up in mid-zone together ...so one way or another you need to exploit them.

Nelly the man executing the hard dump-in can use slappers if he comes in t 75% speed thru the n-zone but suddenly puts on the binders and stops thereby FREEZING one of their d-men who like to stick together laterlly...this stutter will split them apart and it is only this lateral strength that allows their lazy forwards to take so long getting back and to hang in the n-zone looking for garbage pucks.Just make sure that the man stopping to slam it in hears the verbal from his streaking support man trailing him BEFORE he puts on the binders, the timing has to be bang on.Split their defenses lateral continuity by pulling it up,nd freezing one of them, with your UPSPEED support timed to rip after your HARD WILD BOUNCE dump-ins.

Nuge picked their pocket there Nelly its not likely to happen again, you need to GENERATE OFFENSE get on those o-zone entry adjustments, dump it in differently or attack the middle with speed and look to stretch them out.But do something, momentum is not swinging back for you....and it will not unless you make it.

Stop wasting possesions, you have had a lot of them to work with, you need to get on top of that young goaltender of theirs, send Puoliot up the middle,Get someone in front of the net, then rag it right in like Yak-City did,ya gotta do something now,own it man ...own it.

Just sayin here but their young tender seems to have trouble getting his stick down on the ice in time,he might be vulnerble to the little whiffers you slid at him and through him like Nail used, work the kid over fellas dont make it so easy for him.

Speed Nelly, use those HARD HIGH dump-ins supported by an UPSPEED 2nd man,and use your SPEED.Make their d-men TURN,loop high dump-ins up into the lights as soon as you cross your blueline and exit your zone so their d-men have to turn mid-zone and look up to track the pucks if you need to,just get it done.

NewAge Hockey System ...1...advanced stats con-jobs...0...its 1-0 for the NHS and the game is over.

All the preaching to the choir in the world by DE will not change this.

Dallas Eakins turned the Oilers into a proto-type for the attempted use of hocus-pocus stats ideas to run a professional NHL Hockey Team.....he made an intentionally well publicised hire of Dellow to support himself and to secure a heavy online cadre of support for himself within the weird stats groupies which happen to encompass at least 4 mainstream media people working for different MSM compaines during the day and actioning supports with varying degrees of vested interest in the forwarding of the hocus-pocus advanced stats fad or salesjob both peripherally during their dayjobs and fulltime while they arent working in MSM--they burn both ends of the Candle--,they carefully do not overcommit during their dayjobs so no conflict of interest is obvious but when they are off-shift they get blatant in the anonymous online world, every so often in sports these spin-doctors get a foothold via managers like DE who do not have the experience and acumen to adequately do their job without the crutch of excusatory stats supports.

The entire NHL had a near-miss thanks to DE and his inter-web of manipulations designed to artificially support fly-by-night advanced stats within a Professional Sport which many years ago permanently disenfranchised this methodology...as ALL major Professional Sports have done.

The levels and degrees of failure DE produced were epic...the entire NHL witnessed this ugly chapter in the history of the game.

No one is going to endorse this advanced stats madness for a very very long time for fear of being lumped in with DE and his historic error in judgement in surrendering his autonomy and decision making power as a Professional NHL Manager and the fate of the organisation to some nerd with a calculator and some stories to tell.

Right now the record shows a Generational Core which was progressing normally in fact slightly better than averge under Krueger using traditional but progressive Coaching methods ......but one which slowed its development right to a grinding halt under Dallas Eakins with his non-traditional advanced stats laced and dependant methods.

No NHL GM in his right mind will want to get involved with this type of shannanigans.....never mind the mine-field of 3 or 4 MSM people who are advanced stats stakeholders working for competing bosses during the day,but coming together online as stakeholders during the night when they moon-light, in their attempts to create and establish a PAYING INDUSTRY WHERE NONE EXISTS,treading conflict of interest waters all the way.

A group of like-minded stakeholders tried to in an organised manner FORCE-FEED the National Hockey a fly-by-night advanced stats industry, these people tried to validate -package-and market a spin-doctored con-job for shared fiscal gains.DE was the tip-of-the-Spear.....he used his hiring of Dellow to make a huge media splash for the Snake-Oil stats sellers,DE didnt realise that he was the lowest fella on the Totem Pole and NO ONE WAS GOING OUT ON A LIMB WITH HIM.

Instead of jumping on the bandwagon with DE and the stats salesmen, experienced Hockey Managers sat in the weeds to watch things play out.....and we can now see why they are called experienced, they were 100% right to not be associated with advanced stats and their promoters, only Edmonton took the hook-line-and sinker.

Make no mistakes about it the Oilers are nowhere near out of the woods with the stats disease, they keep Dellow and in the process keep the influences that skewered DEs career, Dellow represents failure to the NHL the same ways DE now does,to change DE simply needs to openly eject the advanced stats he has been selling.

Nelson is the right fix,but the longer Dellow is around the worse the outcome for the Oilers will be,they are still sleeping with the enemy and dont even know it,by now they should have figued out why DE offered blatant suppot to Dellow post-fireing.....he wanted his inside man to remain so the entire advanced stats game didnt get exposed and disenfranchised.

DE had a middle-man bringing online data to him, this conduit has not been removed from the Oilers equation,Dallas has been but not the root cause of the disconnect.

Turfing DE and keeping Dellow is like keeping your ex-wife on speed-dial and giving her you PIN #s and passwords, its crazy man.

The NHS uses NO STATS.

The Oilers under Nelson have began to forge an identity, they are developing game to game consistancy against different opponents systems and Coaching techniques, this is a very nice beginning.

I have recently noticed Nelly being more aggressive and switching up to an NHS style focus,I noticed it twice and havent been watching many games.

He is coming out with it to begin periods, like others he is trying to take advantage of the muscle memory players carry into intermission and heavily rely on to begin the next perion, there is a cerebral transition point Nelly is trying to take advantage of,excellent NHS type of tactic, the game within the game, using natural principals and their impacts to find advantages.

The less Nelly has to change his now consistant System focus which he has began to instill....the better....so hopefully Nelly can learn to police those instances where he wants to catch his opponents napping and begin to implement it for several shifts at either tactical or random times.Beginning a period after having the intermission to plan is one way, being able to communicate effectively to implement these same dynamics on-the-fly for a few shifts is the next step, the one where NHS tactics will be indispensable.

I am seeing the NHS shining through Nelsons Systems in many areas,I will not rock his boat by elaborating, suffice to say Nuge could have and should have had 5 goals last game, the 1,000,000 Score to Win prize should have been picked off last game, had the NHS focus been applied with more accuracy and with better timing Nuge could have had 5 goals easily.Had Hall been playing IF he was on-board Nuge could have gone super-Nova...........this illustrates a strong NHS influence.I could break it down but Nelsons implementation of NHS concepts is fine so far,he is as on-board as any NHL Coach so far,and he has shown he can implement the NHS focus at the NHL levels.....other NHL Coaches have been afraid the Oilers would finally pull their heads out of the quick-sand and begin to use the NHS......now they are 100% sure it is happening when they meet Nelsons Oilers.

If I do not break down Nellys tactics he will evolve like the Hawks-Kings-Blues in terms of evolving his NHS implementation.I could speed this process up,and make him the NHL version of the Terminator but as we can see the NHS HAS NOT been offering any Intuitive Dynamic Analysis of Nellys progress.

I have an NHS-NHL level drill for players to work on after practise........but no way to forward it to Nelly. This is a drill which teaches players to become elite at supporting their teammates with and without the puck...it is the ultimate tool for giving players the primary core value NHS instincts .If one were to begin a Season teaching the NHS to a roster they would use this Drill and the skills it develops as the foundation of every philisophical-tactical-fundamentel and Dynamic evolution to come.

Nelly has simplified the N-zone area...he has toyed with opening it up a few times only.Nelly is looking for the same thing every Coaach needs....to find ways to traverse the N-zone with no loss and hopefully some gains....the N-zone is where every Hockey Game ever played has been won and lost.Nellys Oilers havent been gambeling in the N-zone and this has created consistant System focus and impact....but this tactic as Nelly now knows is not enough every night in the NHL...so now he is beginning to experiment with N-zone aggressive tactics catalysing late in the N-zone,this is the most conservative way to approach things. However this focus the ways Nelly is doing it will give you offense but not dominating offense,Nellys tactics to date have been good and he just needs one simple Drill to give his players to optimise this focus he wants to use.

Nelly needs NHS help to optimise the time and space his men have to strike terminally at the opponent....they are using a System which is sound and safe and as a result they have consistant offensive opportunitys BUT they have LITTLE TIME to plan and execute optimally and these two things need to be executed perfectly to maintain a high possesion/goal ratio in the O-zone.

This area has Challenged every Coach except Krueger....Nelly will soon be facing the same choices DE faced...how to manage the System so he can produce NHL level Offense AND Defense.Nelly has found himself in a different dynamic than DE...however....his evolution is BANG ON with DEs....just before Dallases first major error in Judgement a core value one.

DE had during a critical time for both he and the Roster,a challenge....his defense was executing D-zone exits so perfectly that his Systems N-zone and O-zone components could not execute at a high enough speed to keep up with the momentum being initiated. This was by the way an elite type of defensive mnagement using NHS tactics.DE made major changes to his D-zone management to get his System to run better....he DIDNT HAVE TO do it this way...he could have kept the elite D-zone management and execution and instead ADDED the same elite level management to the N-zone and O-zone areas....the problem for DE was that he did not understand the NHS well enough outside of the ways he had added it to his Defensive mindset to incorporate it to anywhere besides the D-zone.He simply didnt understand the NHS.This is why he found Dellow...to help him figure the NHS out.

Dallas abandoned the best thing he ever did in the NHL to FALL BACK on convention and this move began his death-spiral....he COULD HAVE ASKED FOR NHS HELP...instead he tried to disenfranchise the source he originally used to adjust his defensive mindset---the move which caught Mac-Ts eye by the way was catalysed on the Marlies when DE used NHS tactics there from a Defensive perspective and focus and found immediate sucess.

DE was using NHS data 2 years before his NHL hire.He then found he needed more and instead of validating and respecting the NHS where he found his innovations he instead chose to find a stats salesman who could spin some tales using numbers that would cover DEs arse if he could not in fact incorporate any further NHS tactics into his NHL level Systems.Obviously at that point DEs Systems were NOT NHL caliber in 3 zones, just elite level in the D-zone.

Nelly needs to find ways to take it one step further without taking any steps back....this means he does not want to change the small area he has chosen to date to push the offense and creativity--even though it doesnt give his guys much time or space---and I agree he should keep things steady right now and remain the same.....it is not possible to open it up much more at the NHL level without changing the area Nellys System is trying to transition in and methinks he should not change this small area without NHS help,if he tries to push it to much he will do what DE did and lose his System focus and integrity. The NHS could immediatly show Nelly how to manage the opportunitys he is already consistantly generating to increase his possesion/shot/goal %s.By simply ADDING to what is already there, not going back to change anything about the process which has taken the team to where it is now ,producing consistant impacts against different NHL level Systems and Coaches.

One simple Drill is all Nelly needs to help his men learn to quickly and terminally optimise this small area his System is consistantly creating to work in....its all about converting possesions to shots to goals..nothing else. The areas within which any NHL Coach chooses to manage any of these 3 things defines his mindset and prioritys.Everyone needs to decide WHERE to gamble and at the NHL level it better be an area of strength and stability.Nelly is doing it right so far.

I clearly see where Nelson has adjusted and think it is smart, safe, and conservative I also think he now needs to ask the NHS for advice. Before he over-adjusts trying to create dominating offense...which is the only type one should strive to create.Nelly knows where to come to chat about the NHS.

Nuge could have and should have had 5 goals last game and nearly everything needed to make that happen was executed. The NHS could help Nelson project Nuges impact from all lines.

There is one online ex-MSM writer who seems to find his moral compass at the right times with consistancy,Robin.B who is a local online hockey personality has found his voice just in time,he is calling Eakins and his shennanigans out on the floor so to speak.

The NHS follows a similar path..forward...Eakins and his stats marketing obsession masquerade along with his sidekick Dellow need to become history for the Oilers and their Fans for that matter the entire NHL.

For as long as there is an advanced stats person...Dellow or anyone pushing the same ideas....the Oilers will find no peace in Cyber-space or in local MSM venues......once this influence is OFFICIALLY disenfranchised the Team and Fanbase may move forward unmolested by the constant data/media/Fanbase disturbing of the Cabal trying to create and manipulate a market for advanced stats.

You keep one of them and you will never stop the infighting locally and online.....the Oilers still hold the advanced stats banner because Dellow still resides under their roof.Oilers Upper Management decided to parse Eakins and Dellow seperately and only remediate 1/2 of their internal problem,a peeled egg is still an egg,and the Oilers still have a toxic ..now chronic and embedded deeper than the Head Coach was..advanced stats influence within their ranks.

Nearly every correct step has been followed, but someone is still trying to preserve the advanced stats influences, this undermines the entire process.....this one single intentional deviation for unknown reasons upsets the entire apple cart.

The Oilers will never evolve into a Playoff team or Contender untill they are forced by a Head Coach with enough influence and leverage to back out of the Wheelhouse.......to listen to him when he demands the advanced stats influences be 100% banished so he can send clear and undiluted messages to his players with consistancy of purpose and intentions which rise above and beyond stats impacts.

No high level NHL Head Coach would EVER give some minimalistic stats support person power to influence his core value decisions, which is what Eakins is proposing and which is what he did that ultimately destroyed his NHL entry and his credibility and accounatbility factors.

It would be wise to simply pave the way now and remove any impediments to Nelly..even if he wants to use the incumbant stats people they must go and he needs to find suitable traditional ones as replacements. And if Nelly isnt able to make the cut next season becuse of a Bigger Dog on the playground at least the new guy wont be stuck with old demons from the past which is what the Oilers current stats group happens to how be,in their entirity.Time for a major re-set in a peripheral area to help move things forward.Stats spin-doctors had their chance and failed, now the Oilers need some Intuitive Dynamic Analysis and some Intuitive Dynamic Management tactics to work with so they may catch up with the NHLs most sucessfull teams.Immediatly after the last game of the season is the right time to make this change.

There has been recent comparisons between DE and Nelly since they both Coached 31 games and there is a baseline to reference from.......lets cut to the chase.....Nelly is very close to being exactly where DE was in terms of producing a winning team.....he is at a critical juncture where he now has engaged the NHLs Head Coaches and has hit the wall and needs to find another gear with some opponents, the one where DE began to flounder and mistakenly reached out to advanced stats as a life-saver. Nelly will need to find an edge before seasons end,his games will need to be top-heavy with offense in the 1st periods, because to remain consistant and in the draft picture he will need to manage anerobiclly during the last 2/3 of games.

How and when Nelly incorporates the NHS will define his sucess at the NHL level, but this is no different a dynamic than the old school traditional coaches who have evolved over the last 5 years had to face...it should not be a show stopper to the right person. The only difference is now Nelly is not getting the benefit of NHS analysis trickeling down to him via his support network like those before him had.Nelly has all their data already and has used it to build a solid gameplan I like a lot.

It would be nice to see an Oiler score 5 goals to win a Fan a million bucks though over the next 15 games.Give the NHS 5 games to make adjustments and it will be written....

Other NHL teams need to know the Oilers are NOT working with the NHS at all, they have NOT turned the corner so to speak yet.

The NHS inputs looked good against the Pens, had things been executed earlier the result could have been different. It was nice to see some small improvement late in the gme,but the 1st period was so ...stats influenced....that the pre-game planning was choking out the entire System focus,it wasnt until Nelly changed things up and took the Wheel back from the "Pre-Game-plan" that he got his team back into the game with gusto and impact.

I dont think it would hurt to toss out n NHS bone about now,so here it is Nelly....in case no one has told you yet one major cog in your wheel has failed to get over the Eakins hangover and it is directly related to the stats influences still infecting the team from the inside out ,J.S cannot get his fire and passion back and he NEEDS to do this BEFORE the season is over.

Lets see the same o-zone puck management but lets see JS bringing some of those pucks up the middle and running with the playaction right to the net like power forward, and lets see him coming in ten more feet to release a closer higher velocity wrister through the defenders legs as soon as he commits as opposed to the peripheral shots taking so much of his focus.JS NEEDS to take it to the net and deke out goalies like Coffee did,he has the skillset and he MUST be ASKED to do this...FORCED...to do this for the rest of the season.....it isnt complicated and it wasnt for Coffee and the Dynasty Team either, just make sure JS has a babysitter every possesion because if the forwards ALWAYS support him 100% he will WIN GAMES with his offense--- and if used correctly for a full season he could be a Norris winner right now...seriously.

I think JS can score over 35 goals in one season if he is used properly and if he uses his skillset properly and if BOTH these things happen simultaneously and consistantly.

For now simply let him take it end to end,he needs to change his game ...to EVOLVE it...Justin has worked very hard to be a consistant defensive defenceman keeping the offense on the backburner by and large.....it it time to change this....Justin has good offensive instincts at the NHL level now,but he HAS NOT evolved his end to end rushes with finishes, petry has the best at this,Schultz needs to incorporate this NOW and the NHS says he needs to use Ebbs high backhand move with a wide sweeping backhand 5-hole variant to keep them guessing.

A nice NHS excercise which could be used 15 more times is to focus on one player all 60 minutes and see how many can get hat-tricks or 4-5 goal games.... I want to see JS be this man 3-4 of those games.

Nuge is ready to go supernova with a 4 -5 goal game....maybe an 8 pointer...he is COMING ON STRONGER as the season goes on...when HALL returns Nuge may destroy a few teams. If JS stays with Nuge 5on5 and PP and is used right then we could see amazing things.Nuge and Justin need to work on terminal plays together LOT MORE EVERY DAY because their connection MUST BECOME TIGHTER they NEED each other to reach their potentials.

Nail Yakupov has looked every bit the Number One overall he is since he has recieved proper Coaching,I am talking GOLDEN...NO ONE is stopping Nail now he is becoming a DYNAMO he reminds me of Selanne with his attitude,I hope he can watch some of the Fins tapes to pick up some NHL level tips.Selanne is a Hall-of Famer and he and Yakupov have a LOT in common if you compare them closely. It is time to begin considering how good Nail would be with Nuge because they both pursue and win the puck so many times in the o-zone.I think Roy will work well with Hall as he is eased back in and Nail has earned some time with Nuge.

The thing is Roy and Nail have excellent chemistry...excellent....maybe to much to risk changing ...and maybe Nelly needs to have some time working with Hallsy in his normal 1st line spot where he belongs most nights.

Now we need to see Nail work on the half-slapper on the rush,SOME-ONE needs to have the guts to take some of those top corner half-slappers Gretzky could score with, just make sure everyone holds back waiting for the rebound to come ripping back out of the zone, pinch the boards ,but we need to see that shot, there needs to be some HEAT put into the Goalies Leather.Watch Temmu....he has a nice compact half-slapper and he was built like and skated like Nail .If you choose someone to emulate why not a Great NHL Legendary scorer.

Lander is becoming a force and is backing up his minutes with points he is pushing the river now.

I dont care how the water falls I am a big Aulie Fan wait till Bogdan and Leon arrive next season with their size ,a guy like Aulie supports a Western Conference style with an edge.

The NHS is finally getting some fair play action ,it has been begrudging and long awaited but it is beginning to manifest itself naturally and in the right places.

The local Oilers online community has been changing a lot lately, the Advanced Stats con-job pulled on the team and its fans has now been identified and is being remedied in the moment. This means there will be a lot of Crow to eat for local online advanced stats spin-doctors ,they will now have to back up their actions and statements over the last 4+ years in which they supported the advanced stats bandwagon which so epiclly crashed and burned .Some local ONline advanced stats cabal members who refuse to surrender but are smart enough to have been keeping their heads down lately like MH are trying to spin this epic failure into another advanced stats con-job,they are not giving up but are simply now trying to cut their losses and spin things their way again, they are trying to present a planned and orchestrated con-job explanation of how and why Dallas failed to properly use the advanced stats they provided him with, they are now [I am sure with DEs co-operation behind the scenes] hanging DE out to dry by openly turning on him 360 and saying he mis-used the stats....HA HA HA ....as if the advanced stats stories were still somehow "good" that their imaginary "fiat" value somehow still survived the reality purge ...HA HA HA HA....as if "DE" just didnt know how to use them because he couldnt understand the "fundamentals"??

There is no saving the advanced stats con-job in Edmonton now,the truth is now coming out in a small but consistant and growing stream, there are some local ONline writers like RB who have begun to actively disenfranchise the spin-doctoring which has been woven around their Home Team ,these smarter more experienced writers with solid MSM histories have NHL insider connections throughout the entire League who they trust ....once the War-drums begn beating on this informtion highway it was clear the truth was working its way to the top of the data pile, these type of writers be they now ONline or still MSM connected DO RESPECT the NHLs traditional processes ,and when they get wind that something is changing they are right on top of it,the truth about the NHSs history will soon be coming out with more veracity, hopefully this process can be complete before next season begins so some proper planning can be actioned for next season in a timely manner.Only a fool would stay on the advanced stats sinking ship.....this includes online bloggers who may not know it but they have online reputations which now carry fiscal value which some of them have put many years into building...... if these people stay on the advanced stats bandwagon and keep pushing the garbage they will soon find themselves branded with the same type of reputation DE and Dellow and Willi... and McCartne...and Staple...and McCurd....and Henders....and more [to be discussed later in turn]carry already, these seem to possibly be the ADVANCED STATS CABAL MEMBERS doing the most online and MSM damage to the team and fanbase in general as well as the entire NHL,the advanced stats BS being forced into the NHL using bush-league con-job methods are a DANGER TO THE ENTIRE LEAGUE.Now this danger has been averted, the house of cards this "cabal" built is beginning to approach "freefall" status.

The NHS has been patiently waiting for these changes, the proper environment for a "re-union" is now becoming a reality....the hatchet looks like it may become buried if things keep evolving properly.

Just to answer to the ON line BS being spouted by Matt Henders....

Matt is schill, he has been since his first post on the site,he is an overt advanced stats cabal member,he is stilll stirring the pot trying to support his buddies,he is still in DEs corner 100%,he is now in yet another con-job "hanging DE out to dry"....as if we believe this crap...Matt H. no one is buying your garbage, you are identified as a cabal member and your credibility reflects this,it is non-existant.This joker is still trying to push his advanced stats crap and now he is disenfranchising DE and trying to superimpose the Oilers recent PP sucess with his advanced stats crap BY SAYING DALLAS JUST DIDNT USE THE STATS RIGHT----INFERRING---or "CONNING" us to believe that these same advanced stats are now being used properly by Nelson...the con-jobs simply never stop with these idiots pushing the stats.

The advanced stats have been completely disenfranchised,it is a done deal, they are now on the back-burner where they belong, the internet simply gave the same old type of con-jobs a new venue to sell their wares,it took a while to plug the hole, they screwed up ---beginning with Darkhorse---3-4 years of Oilers hockey, and very nearly allowed a terminal stats based virus to enter the NHLs bloodstream via Eakins endorsement and hiring and publiclly pushing of Dellow and his advanced stats BS.

Matt Henders... is such a schill and con-job that he tries to make immediate online references to NHL attentions being catalysed by the NHS ,he is constantly trying to spin things to his stats con-job.........in a recent article the one being referenced here he mentioned that teams like LA and CHICAGO had been "noticed" as having found ways to improve their shooting % without creating the "advanced stats" which the spin-doctors like Dellow and DE claim "illuminate" the Winning Formula.

This con-job knows very well LA and Chicago and others have been using NHS tactics for 4+ years now,he knows exactly what is catalysing specific results these teams are producing which run AGAINST ALL THE STATS BS....and produce dominant results. This is the NHS in action...and YES NHL teams are noticing and have been behind closed doors for a few years now....I hope Matt the Rat tries to hi-jack this dynamic more in the future, come on pal go for it.....the entire NHL knows very well the Kings and Hawks and Blues and others have been using NHS philosophies and concepts, just keep putting the rope around your own neck MH the sooner the lot of you are clearly identified and ignored the better,if you stay in the weeds you can do damage next season, the Oilers need to remediate ALL OF YOU before next year.In fact the NHL has as much of a stake in remediating this virus-like regressive stats influence as the Oilers do...maybe more...methinks the Oilers "internal audit" might be getting some high level NHL help very very soon, either anonymously or up-front......the stats cons should have simply sat back and let things settle down but they continued their con-job for to long, now they all have targets on themselves they cannot wash off, their credibility is zero and cannot be restored, they have all been busted together already but the sentencing is being actioned at different times for everyone, slowly and surely each is being remediated.

The NHS has been waiting since its creation for this type of positive environment which we NOW see being built in Edmonton ,THIS is what the NHS needs to "seed" itself properly,I like Nelsons work ,and the NHS is now willing.Let it be said.

NHS observation.....keep the pucks on Nuges stick like you have been doing,he is the stick that stirs the Oilers drink, when Taylor comes back he needs to do what everyone else is doing,go to the right spots at the right times and use Nuge to get set up and FINISH off of him,Nuge needs to use his minutes effectively so the more he has the puck on his stick the better, and the more everyone gets used to getting open ASAP when he has the puck the better, what you are doing now is RIGHT...things are naturally evolving to the point where the pucks are finding Nuge often like they should be,everyone is now thinking finish first and using Nuge as their set-up man which is perfect because it lets Nuge use them CONSISTANTLY as 1st threat to back off the defenses which allows him to exploit them with his shot whenever he can and it is slowly correcting things, the focus is solid zone entry then one and done with as much extended possesion as is needed but with no overpassing.

Things look pretty good now.

It is time to give some NHS valuations in terms of impacts generated since the Oilers Management made a definitive and sure-handed decision to bring in a new Head Coach.

What I see off the cuff is an NHL team with an IDENTITY....the Oiles are now being seen as a tough highly skilled offensively focused but defensively capable team which IS GOING TO roll INTO your Barn and BURN IT DOWN every time you meet them. The Oilers are going to run you down like wolves giving no quarter, they do not give up toughness to play a high tempo game, the keep their edge but kick the tempo up a few notches, once they get an opponent running & gunning it is simply a matter of time until they rise to the top. There is no "breakdown" when the Oil get leads now and they can open up a game high tempo then settle it down quickly without losing offensive focus, they dont need to turtle to slow it down now they just shift down a few gears but keep the same line of sight---Now the Oilers are being managed with solid focus and THIS is how the IDENTITY has evolved, this is a permanent thing now, other NHL teams who have quite seiously been waiting for the other shoe to drop and for the Oilers to finally become a winning team NOW KNOW THE TIDE HAS OFFICIALLY TURNED and the Oilers are on the UPSWING and because they were held back for 2 years artificially they have the POTENTIAL to make a HUGE jump in the NHL standings soon.

If you listen to what their peers are saying since Nelson took over and moreso what opposing Head Coaches are saying it is CLEAR that the entire NHL has definitively recognised and endorsed the epic changes seen to date-Nelson has been fully endorsed and accepted and has been given a solid level of NHL level peer driven respect....this is a big part of the NATURAL EVOLUTION of the teams IDENTITY.....and it is validation that the Oilers Management made the ABSOLUTE RIGHT DECISIONS in removing past Head Coaching structure and bringing in new Head Coaching philosophy and structure.

I believe judging by what I have seen that if the Oilers remain consistant in their focus and continue to evolve this Identity and Style into next season we will see 3+ 80 point players with Nuge possibly hitting 100,and we will see a Playoff Team in action.

The critics and online/MSm reporters may discuss the Oilers turnaround depending upon adding a top defender or top Goalie all they wish to and of course their conversations will always hold water, just not enough water for the NHS,because I have witnessed an EVOLUTION OF IDENTITY AND INTENTIONS.....the OPTIMAL ONE.... and it has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH NEW AND BETTER MANAGEMENT and TRUST/RESPECT/FRIENDSHIP between the HC and the Players as a group.Yes,every team needs upgrades at all positions,,the Oilers arent devoid of NHL level Goalies,Ben and Victor are not chopped liver, they are good tenders, and ultimately a team makes itself and every individual better as it evolves into a winning team ...All-World Goalies are parts of ALL-World Teams. The Oilers need RESILLIANT Goalies who endorse and naturally fit the high powered offensive style..they need to LIKE IT...they cant use a fragile mind, they need someone who WANTS THE BOYS TO SLUG IT OUT fo 60 minutes and go for blood,a man who LOVES holding the Fort and enjoys odd-man rushes against...you know LOVES TO SICK IT TO THE OPPOSITION in high drama.A win is a win for everyone, what matters most is that you get the majority of your wins the WAY YOU WANT TO EARN THEM---PLAYING YOUR STYLE NOT THE OPPOSITIONS.....you need to IMPRESS YOUR STYLE ONTO THE OPPOSITION and try to win with your hands on the Wheel as much as possible,of course you take the runaway train wins as well, but you need consistant INTENTIONS to become a winning team and this means inflicting your will upon the opponent for 60 minutes .

The fact is that the Oilers used 3 NHL level scoing lines and the Wagon line to beat the Flyers...the Oilers player THEIR GAME ....they IMPOSED THEMSELVES upon the Flyers, they CONTROLLED the momentum by changing gears at the right times but keeping the focus the same.

The reality is that any team that can put Taylor Hall of the 3d line has PLAYOFF DEPTH....and the Oilers now have this depth.

I wanted to see Hemmer catalysing a 3rd offensive line, being the "dynamic driver" and catalyst of the offense. This type of 3rd line offense KILLS OPPONENTS....because it FORCES OPPOSING COACHES TO SPREAD OUT THEIR DEFENSES.....no one is stopping a Hemmer or a Hall used OPTIMALLY from the 3rd line.Few NHL teams have the defensive depth to shelter them from an elite level high-speed threat used and supported properly from deep in the roster .I want to see Hall scoring winning goals and I bet he can score more than anyone else without being on the 1st or 2nd lines..SERIOUSLY....its about scoring goals not minutes played and if you play 1/2 as many minutes but get 100% focus and support....you can score more goals...its that simple.IF YOUR NAME IS TAYLOR HALL or ALES HEMSKY,you gotta have wings on your skates.

I dont have much more to give because I DO NOT WANT TO mess with what Nelson is doing and I think EVERY PLAYER ON THE ROSTER should give Nelly 100% trust and efforts....that is my advice......if he is a fit the Men need to show it AND say it...they have been doing BOTH of those things and need to continue to do so.

I believe the Winning Formula has been seeded now and the roots are growing strong and solid, for the love of all things sane I hope upper Management just lets this keep evolving because it WAS THEIR LAST CHANCE BEFORE THE ROSTER IMPLODED TO GET IT RIGHT.....lets keep that in mind here.....this has been an EPIC LAST SECOND SAVE.

And it FEELS RIGHT...so let it grow.

The Oilers roster have reason to be proud of themselves...they have ALL STEPPED UP AND PROVED they were not the catalyst of the last 1/12 years of dysfunction......it WAS NEVER THE PLAYERS and now this is part of the record. For the 1st time since he came here I saw Ference smile naturally and at ease, the unfair pressure he was put under due to the way his entry was catalysed and executed by his bosses is water under the bridge,Andrew now knows the writing is on the wall,NUGE has evolved in an unstoppble way,the NATURAL WAY....Andrew could end this chapter as a winner by asking Nelly if he can give the "c" to Nuge before the year is over....say the last home-game....that would be a very fitting and traditionally classy Oilers way of passing the Torch to the right man at the right time, after kind of being sand-bagged by DE et al....Ference deserves the "golden parachute" to re-gain his pride and NHL standing .

Nuge didnt come out of nowhere this season,it has been one long but steady UPSHIFTING EVOLUTION for RNH,and it is not finished he hasnt even hit his sweet spot yet,he is trending upwards strongly. It sometimes "seems" like he snuck in somehow to the leadership position, but in fact he simply GROUND EVERYONE DOWN WITH HIS EPIC LEVEL UNSHELFISH WORK ETHIC AND SUPER-HUMAN ENDURANCE and DRIVE and WILL ON THE ICE.Nuge has refused to be denied at every level,he has earned the respect of his teammates,Coaches and NHL Peers,he has proven he is a Blue-blood.Methinks Nuge will be consistantly appearing in All_star/International Games in the future, along with a few teammates beginning next season.

Just follow Nelly fellas,it is good.

The NHS values every man the same, local online pundits are now targeting Hall to generate controversy, which fuels their fires.

The NHS values every man the same,I am sure Nelly follows this basic tenant of teambuilding.

Taylor Hall is the Firstborn of the "CORE" -- Eberle was delivered at the same time but the Stork dropped him off like a gift from God....Oilers history will show that Jordan Eberle is special occurance...one which tipped the balance in favor of OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT OF TAYLOR...you see Ebbs and his elite execution and evolving toughness took a TREMENDOUS volume of focus and pressure OFF OF TAYLOR.....so much that Jordan will always recieve some leadership credit....he earned it...he competed for it and he earned it...to me Ebbs has been a true leader in terms of consistncy of production he has benefitted from skilled linemates but no more than they themselves have yet he has proven to be an example of consistancy in terms of competing internally and putting his money where his mouth is---on the scoreboard---Ebbs gives 199% to back up his intentions.

No one in their right mind would question anything core value about Halls development or current performance...... Taylors development has been closely monitored and managed...nothing has been fluke....Taylor CHOSE who he wanted to be as an NHLer and he has worked his arse off to please everyone and achieve that benchmark for himself....he HAS ACCOMPLISHED HIS MICRO-GOAL ....the NHL recognises Hall as a FORCE to be reckoned with....this IDENTITY will go with Taylor his entire career....Hall is a KNOW NHL QUANTITY....this was a had earned identity which cost Taylor a lot of pain and punishment.

EVERYTHING that happened under DE must be erased from eveyones record........the Oilers as a group have moved on and are defining a new Team identity...after this many games NHL opponents are getting the message clearly. This roster is now identified as Nellys Roster, the Oilers are now identified as an unknown quantity with an unknown upside....where 40 games ago everyone knew they were discombobulated and there was little to no upside skill and talent and potentials or not.

Taylor Hall the "player" is already defined at the NHL level.............how Taylor Hall will be contributing to Nelsons Oilers focus is in the process of being defined. In the past a lot of pressure has been put on Hall , he was challenged to accept it...and he did an admirable and sucessfull job of doing just that....BUT BUT BUT there is an inherant risk and danger in first finding then cutting loose a skillset like Taylors...he CAN AND WILL carry the ball...but this means opponents can try to injure him or take him out of the game as an individual and in this process undermine the core structure of the teams focus.

We all KNOW Hall will always be a game-breaker......now we will see him begin to develop his GAME-MAKING skills,Taylor is an excellent passer and playmaker, but he is NOT RECOGNISED as FINISHER or a TRIGGER-MAN.....ha ha ha ha...Hall has all the skills of an elite player at the NHL level we have just never seen him used in the Trigger-man role,he has NOT BEEN CHALLENGED to become this......but I believe the time is now for this challenge.....if Hall uses his KNOWN QUANTITYS of speed and smarts to get his TIMING right in terms of moving opponents when he doesnt have the puck yet....of using his THREAT to help open up his teammates but NOT ONLY OFF THE HIGH SPEED RUSHES... but off of multi-speed rushes and out of o-zone management or broken plays......then we will see Hall being put in the position without the puck to be a FINISHER...and I am pretty sure he will excell in that role I think he has the proper support from Nelly in planning his approach to this challenge.

It was easier for teams to try to contain Halls skillset when they could simply prepare structurally for a high speed attack with Taylor leading it.........if Hall is used anerobiclly instead of aerobiclly he will be challenged to become a true game-maker,like Nuge has become.

From what I can see the entire roster is equally sharing responsibility for catalysing and executing both offense and defense.I see balance in terms of role identification and understanding throughout the roster which has not been in place for deacdes,I see everyone getting the same message and making subtle personal adjustments to find their sweet-spots in actioning those correct roles...no one is over-stepping and no one is under-stepping everyone knows where they need to be and what speed they need to be marching at.

It is called cohesion and is a consequence of good communication.

It is seriously like the roster simply stepped out of Sheeps clothing and wha-la they were Wolves underneath the disguise.

It was like the structure brought in with Nelly was tailormade and pre-fitted.....because everything has been coming together seamlessly and NATURALLY...this is why the absolute turnaround has happened so fast.

There is NO ROLE CONFUSION in the Oiler room, this is NOT an Eakins managed team it is a Nelson managed team..... there IS NO CONFLICT NOW.......those days are over.

EVERYTHING has changed internally and balance has been built in the room....a NATURAL balance which is catalysed by the rosters evolution not some hair-brained force-fed scheme as was seen in the past.

I know with 100% certainty the men in the Oilers room know each other well enough to properly value every individual involved.Taylor and Nuge and Nikitin and Ference and Nial and Gordon and Fasth and Scriver.......everyone is equally valuable to the structure and intentions of the team and is now equally recognised as such.

This is the Oilers now.accept it and endorse it because it is the winning formula developing before your very eyes.

Trust me...the Oilers NHL opponents DID NOT WANT TO SEE THIS EVOLUTION HPPEN......opponents have been waiting for the other shoe to drop with all of the Oilers young players....just WAITING TO JUDGE the Oilers developmentel decisions a FAILURE...and DE was high-balling the team down that exact path............NOT NOW FOLKS......now the NHLS worst nightmare is becoming a growing reality.....the Oilers have begun to come together structurally and are developing an Identity as an offensive powerhouse that WILL NOT GIVE UP MORE THAN IT GETS in terms of opportunitys and who will CONVERT more times than the opponent......only a follish NHL tem would let themselves get into a rundown gun down with the Oilers NOW MATURE core of highly skilled players.

TRUTH BE TOLD....the Oilers core had a VERY ROUGH RIDE...they had the be-jeezus kicked out of them by the NHLs goons....they came up the hard way and NONE OF THEM BROKE....they all became STRONGER.....this MUST SCARE NHL opposition Coaches because they KNOW the Oilers are no longer power-puff or underpowered.....they KNOW the CORE is now strong and beginning to SURGE.

Nuge has elevated his scoring goals to balance his impacts and earn more respect and room out there, this was hard to do but he did it,Nail has elevated his on-ice positioning and management as a playmaker to earn more room and respect,Ebbs has elevated his grit and willingness to go places others fear to tread to earn more room and respect....................now its time to see Hall elevate his tactical onice management to allow himself to become a lethal triggerman....everyone expects Halls speed to come right at them .......the NHS knows very well his speed is like energy of any kind you can change its form but you can not destroy it...Taylor is just as unstoppable when he is tearing into shooting position from out of nowhere as he is coming through the n-zone...NHL teams just got used to him challenging head-on.....how do you think they will stop him from now using his skills to make them adjust to him without the puck???I mean this man has elite anticipation and passing skills never mind his puck release and touch with the puck in close.....I want to STRESS THIS...we HAVE NOT SEEN Hall challenged to become a trigger-man or a finisher in that way....the NHS reccomends everyone buckle-up and smoke-em if you got-em because NO ONE has seen a Taylor Hall asked to be a pure and selfish triggerman who is EXPECTED to shoot to score every time the puck is coming at him-----and this is what EVERYMAN is now expected to be------....personally I cannot wait to see what happens next year because the entire core has seemed to have made a major jump developmentelly over this last 1/2 a season....which HAD THINGS NOT BEEN SCREWED UP WOULD HAVE BEEN.......THE EXACT RIGHT TIME FOR THIS TO BE HAPPENING.......the Good-Train Oilers is OFFICIALLY BACK ON TRACK.

DE and the troubles which came with him are gone,Taylor like everyone else has a Head Coach named Todd Nelson and he LIKE EVERYONE will have to learn and understand what is required of him as an NHL Hockey Player from this man....nothing else matters .These expectations will be DIFFERENT than those set in the past....this is called a "good thing".

Some say the Oilers need a stud d-man or a stud-Goalie.....or need someone to grab this position....no more time is available.....the overall LONG-TERM BENEFITS of WINNING THE DRAFT LOTTERY have to date been parsed only with statistics.....however today we see the DYNAMIC IMPACTS from a managerial perspective these picks gave the Oilers for now they may WITH NO REGRETS OR DISCOURSE trade anything less than the 1st overall for a d-man of Tender of choice....ALL draft picks are optionable this year.....they can ALL be moved....even the 1st if you are "bold".

The NHS says show confidence and faith in the current CORE....enough of the right assets are in place now.....REALISTICLLY...the Oilers SHOULD keep the pick and use it on the BPA positionally, because I feel they will be Playoff team next season if everything we see now carries over with no major changes.

Only an elite player would appeal to me and I WOULD NOT TOUCH MY CURRENT CORE to get him either.....no Nurse...no blue-chipper...money and draft picks and non-core roster players only.Either the draft pick is #1 and mighty and used like HAMMER to forge the immediate future via prime elite NHLer,or it is 2nd or 3rd or lower and used traditionally to bolster the current CORE in 2-5 years when dynamics change dramaticlly.

In the view of the NHS the only thing the Oilers can really buy or target is a PEER-DRIVEN ESTABLISHED NHL VALUATION...a player who comes with ESTABLISHED ELITE value both in the eyes of NHL peers and NHL Officials, the only man worth chasing is one with a pre-established impact within the entire NHL dynamic.

Right now NHL officials KNOW WHO THE OILERS ARE....the Oilers have a reputation as a CLEAN TEAM WHO WILL TAKE A HIT TO MAKE A PLAY AND WILL COMPETE FOR THE PUCKS WHEN THEY LOSE THEM NOT RETALIATE on opponents ,they are looking to retaliate on the ScoreBoard which supports the NHLs mandate and the future of the game of hockey, clean high-scoring competative hockey is marketable hockey...it is exciting hockey.Hall and Nuge and Ebbs and Nail and even DRE had a hard indoctrination into the NHL and every official has witnessed it first-hand as those young men were battered mercilessly and had to turn the other cheek nearly every time ...it really was tough-love and odd to splash all those young men into the NHL without goons protecting them and of all people in the NHL World the officials have the best grasp on who has paid their dues and who has not...suffice to say the Oilers young core has paid in full since their first games, there have been some MIGHTY HITS AND CHEAPSHOTS LAIN ON OILERS YOUNG KIDS.....without the usual retaliations or Goon buildup on the roster...they were really forced to sink or swim.I believe the Oilers core has earned the RESPECT of the NHLs officials who fully understand the true NHL that lives and breathes out on the ice.

Just listen to Nelly fellas, simple, not the intenet, not the MSM not the NHS not your horror-scopes or Fortune Cookies just Nelly. If you think anything else might help you out...ASK NELLY .....keep everything above-board and on the table where it belongs like you have been and are doing.

P.S....whats with all the strange Conspiracy Stuff surrounding the LA Kings???......K.A.R.M.A Inc. seems to have found a home in their dressing room huh?Well good old honesty can clear that up in a hurry....my advice to the Kings is to get the best Intuitive Dynamic Management and Intuitive Dynamic Analysis consultant available to re-set themselves before their season is over.....and there are NO BACK-TO-BACK Cups as guaranteed.I mean if everyone doesnt know what got them to their last 2 Cups then they are lieing to themselves and we all know what that does to the Winning Formula right?Maybe someone needs to think back 4 years and re-boot the "system" so to speak.huh? The clock is as they say "ticking" on this seasons playoff hopes.

Nelly, get on the forecheck and pressure their d-men,DO NOT LET THEM GET SET OR WIND-UP FORCE THEIR FORWARDS TO COME BACK OUT OF THE N-ZONE TO HELP .Dont let the tall d-man get wound up,catch him with speed and congest his ability to move himself up and down the ice,hit him and pound him , STOP HIS PROGRESS by hitting him hard------- they re reliing on him so if you stop him consistantly you screw their system up terminally----- they dont have a plan-B.

They are standing you up on your blueline on your exits and thru the n-zone so use the long breakout passes or high looping dump-ins you can use you speed to bet them to supported by high speed forechecking like Roys line is doing, high energy forecheck to work their defense over nd force them to move the pucks sooner.......make their system adjust to you.

They are looking for broken plays coming out of the n-zone and are ALL going on immediate offense so be ON THE PUCK ASAP and keep dominant body position.

Pin their d-men deeper---dont let them get to pucks so soon, keep it on your sticks in your zone like you are and just get it over the line safely, then use high slow moving dump-ins to give you forwards time to get unde the pucks nd down the ice nd ON TOP OF THEIR DEFENSEMEN ASAP.

You might want to try running a few end-to-end d-man rushes because they are stepping up on you so fast on your blueline...they do not really have n-zone structure they are just congesting it then stepping up high and kind of cheating to take advantage of loose pucks...so try to bust it through once in a while it will basiclly be beating the 1st forechecker then taking it to the hoop.

Nelly, just listen to them trying to roast Taylor Hall between periods on the panel......dont buy into it.

Dont let the interlopers impct the team.

Oilers decisions will remain Oilers decisions.

I might set Taylor loose on them by using the long fastbreak passes tonight, and to show support for Taylor.....just huddle up and then decide to highlight him tonight as a show of solidarity.....everyone make him the primary pass option in the n-zone forward and tell him he HAS TO SCORE AS MANY AS HE CAN TONIGHT....use Taylor like a weapon, this will always be an option,so no reason to embargo yourself.....just beacuse it is an old trick doesnt mean you should ignore it totally.

I am not letting Hallsy get off the hook,he isnt even matured yet---he is AN OILER THROUGH AND THROUGH--...he is going nowhere and I MEAN NOWHERE.

This is the Oilers and Taylor Hall is an Oiler. No one changes that except for the Oilers.

Taylor will be an Oiler until the Oilers nd he decide differently,Tylor WILL NOT BE MADE A SCAPEGOAT for Eakins and others mismanagement....the players will NO LONGER PAY MNAGEMENTS TABS IN EDMONTON...there is an internal audit STILL IN PROGRESS which will ensure this does not happen..............so get used to it......Hallsy is not going to be roasted aaand we will not be swindeled out of an all-star LW by some joke of an attack on one of our men by the online and MSM media, many of whom still support Eakins and dvanced stats.

Nelly, big d-men tun slow, get those dump-ins up very high and looping into the lights where their d-men need to LOOK UP TO TRACK THE PUCK so they are forced to telegraph their turns and intentions......no one will be able to recover fast enough to stop high speed forecheck from beting them consistantly, two men in hard w/ 3rd to net front every time for immedite pass, keep everyone else supporting this simple playaction, use pure speed and no messing aound be ready to dig pucks to the front ans shoot em ASAP.Bring the 3d man in with proper timing...NOT as fast as the forecheck...not to soon....time it right...hover him on the blueline...have him coming in 75% speed timed right so he doesnt get caught to deep every time, remember pucks coming out of the corners will be coming out to this 3rd man so he doesnt need to be streaking in just expecting the pucks and JUMPING UP AND SHOOTING EVERY CHANCE HE GETS.Adjust the 3rd support man....keep 2 men in fast high speed-high pressure then adjust how and where the 3rd man comes in to beat their panic breakouts and outlet plays your high speed forecheck will force them to use.

They are liking to drop the puck at the blueline to use the trailer, they are using immediate o-zone penetration, challenging you to hit them in the n-zone...so push the plays deeper into their zone. HIGH LOOPERS THAT MAKE THEIR D-MEN LOOK UP AND TELEGRAPH THEIR MOVEMENTS AND SLOW DOWN THEIR TURNS.Buy your forecheckers some time this way.Alternate high looping dump-ins with long breakout passes...test them at both extremes. Just dont give them playction time in the n-zone where they wnt you to engage them, keep it out of the n-zone,take them out of their comfort zones.

When they flood your zone like that on their offense a pee-wee team would figure out to bank psses hard off the wall to spring guys on the fast breaks.....they are hurrying you up in your own zone by cheating and flooding the zone with numbers, they are dominating the n-zone so spread them out......hard off-the-wall passes to breaking wingers on the FAR OPEN SIDE.....these bozos are flooding one side strong every time, just use hard off-the-wall clears and try to time them to the open side they are leving vulnerable.

Just look for the side they are leaving open then exploit them.Use their consistancy against them, take the things they want to bring and use them against them.

Nelly,I am not going to complicate this,Hammer and Anvil buddy you will need to look it up.Your d-men need to stand them up on the line, but the entire focus is not quite so simple.

You adjusted everything right between periods but you still need to stop their o-zone penetration because they will attack with only 2 men right to the bucket every time, that 2nd goal was pure garbage, you need to remove the puck or body on your blueline, there is no free lunch now.Ya gotta pay the price.

I like how you are bringing your 3rd support man out of your zone lte but with good timing as an upspeed threat to hammer them with speed in the n-zone coming right t them ....dont be afraid to bring that man up a bit sooner or to let him roll right in faster,he is being initiated UPSPEED already, just get him moving earlier nd send him in deeper to support the forecheck....be patient but not afraid to bring the 3rd man up sooner to challenge their outlet man in the middle of their zone who is clearing all those pucks out for them, take wy the middle to support your forecheck.

They are hesitating in their zone looking to each other for support to much, let the puck carrier drive it to the net moe often...go on long dangles but not to find a pass, snek around until you get a shot, rag it like you are looking for a pass but just find open ice and mke them chase you to tke them out of position.Spread them out nd use your SKILL to linger around in open ice looking SHOT ...not only for late pass option, hang ontop the pucks until they transition to cover the incoming support then SUDDENLY DRIVE IT RIGHT TO THE NET.

Our defenders need to get their sticks out sooner on our blueline to stop those random shots on net they are working off of.Take away those quick blueline shots because they are important to them, make those pucks deflect up and out, they are just funneling everything to the net so they cn use their size advantages,so get sticks out there sooner or take the body and commit to driving them out of the zone bodily one-for-one.

Make them walk it to the middle or to the net so someone has to pay the Piper ....no easy deep- zone penetration to the net with the pucks.

You KNOW they need to use the blueline fast shot....so simply adjust and get the sticks into the pucks quicker, neutralise that shot to make them change.

Why not try to score a shorty,it seems to be something we do not try enough with our skillsets on the PK.Burn their d-men they are much to bold.

I do wnt to know why you aent targeting Myers and driving every single puck to him all game long, obviously they are geenlighting him so take it to him t him and through him, hurry him up he is big and slow when he plays us,get on him and into him, eveyone all game.Force al pucks at him and expose him,run the big dog down before he beats you himself because his team is setting the pace for him,do what they do not expect COME AT THEIR BIG DOG WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE GOT.

By the way in their zone they are collpsing to the net early,so use deflections FROM THE SIDES or one-timers from the half-walls,keep sending pressure in so they collapse but look for the kickbacks to the half-walls for quickshots once you force them to the inside of the house or look for perimeter deflections high on their tender, not low and to the front but high from the sides to send pucks into the mess in front to your diggers waiting for it.

Most obvious thing tonight is the Oilers ARE NOT PUCK AWARE they are not getting pressure on the pucks being carried at them soon enough or with enough conviction with thei sticks ,and when you paly a team greenlighted to rag the puck you are at a disadvantage.

You need to focus on STRIPPING THE PUCKS from them EVERY TIME,they are greenlit and are using an NHS modified adjusted-Hybrid System. They WILL MAKE A PLAY WITH THE PUCK FAST.You MUST EMOVE IT FROM THEM SEPERTE THEM FROM THE PUCKS SOONER.Forget the body, remove the pucks SOONER so you can use your speed and skill.

Use EXTENDED PURSUIT OF THE PUCKS.They are not looking to build into structure to create offense ...the plays are developing off of the puck carrier every time no matter who it is this is NHS influences shining through.....so simply get onto the pucks and seperate them sooner, remove their time quicker, use you speed and sticks better.
