moma2s NewAge Hockey System

Moma2 has over the years preached and preached about zone transitions and zone entries....trying to delete the dump-it-in mentality that is sooooo regressive and that negates soooo much offense and goals from the game....and things are going great league wide....its an OFFENSIVELY FOCUSED EXCITING Possesion/Transition National Hockey League game now and will be for a few decades IMHO.


Moma2 was intentionally building you a new PERSPECTIVE....and when you begin to process the game from a Possesion/Transition mindset suddenly EVERYTHING YOU DO CHANGES.....your UBER-FOCUS changes....you DESTINATION CHANGES.....you become a TERMINAL THINKER.....something only elite NHLers have had in the past by birth.....now anyone can enjoy this advantage with a little learning and practice.

Terminal thinking translates into a higher shooting % BY PROXY....the ENTIRE NHS is focused on OFFENSE ONLY...on TERMINAL THINKING AND EXECUTING BY INSTINCT....Momma2s NewAge Hockey System...REWRITES YOUR HARDDRIVE COMPLETEY FROM THE VERBAGE TO THE CEREBRAL VISUALISATION AND ANTICIPATION ABILITIES....


Listen up....the Oilers can go to the most basic simple simon System of play and easily make the Playoffs and THEN BRING OUT THE BIG GUN OFFENSIVE FOCUS ....a little like Mactavish did...one of my favorite all-time Oilers Coaches because of his innate feel for the game he was connected to the ice from the bench as a Coach a rare commodity...he managed like Sather did to be honest...exceptionally....in terms of how he took his Team through the regular season and into the playoffs...Mactavish UNDERSTANDS the PACE and the GEAR CHANGES you need to take a Club through to have the highest chance of making the Playoffs and he understands that Playoff hockey is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ANIMAL....this my dear friends is where we become illuminated to one of the Oilers biggest mistakes ever...losing Mactavish as a Head Coach...this level of acumen was a by-product of Mactavishes life experience his Hockey experiences his learning from WINNERS like Sather the Oilers Hall of Fame roster and from his own inborn NATURAL LEADERSHIP AND COMPETATIVE TENDANCIES...Quinn had it Renney had it Krueger had it ....T-Mac today has had plenty of time to learn but hasn't figured out why he hasn't been finishing yet (he cant rebuild the Teams Transmission and teach them how to weild his System and Philosophy both ways with equal impact)...but for different reasons these men were NOT DEFENSIVELY OBSSESED...they had the ability to be ANEROBIC and to mangage their own Systems from not a defense-first focus or an Offense-first focus BUT FROM BOTH FOCUSES WITH EQUAL IMPACT....its called BALANCE.....it allows you to change gears like a Transmission does....and even at that once you get a reliable Transmission in place you still have to learn to use it optimally to win NHL Playoff races that go over so many hills and mountains so quickly....and then to cap it off with a Stanley Cup win that Tranny better be able to handle the heat(which is why Veteran Leadership and DEPTH is soooo important to any Championship Team).


McDavid also needs to work on taking the Team over this terrain....he is still learning how to pace himself in the NHL because he is defining parameters...lol...soon once he is confident in that we will see him elevate again in a few years...people think they have seen his best but they have not Connor McDavid is just now getting comfortable in the NHL and when we see him taking control of games regularly scoring three points+ a game we will know he has figured it out....that he has discivered exactly how diaboliclly bloodthirsty Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby really really are....hey take no shame in dissecting you demoralising you degrading you and destroying you on the scoreboard and when they smell blood they go into a frnzy every time and elevate themselves....they are WINNERS and they take no pride in showing mercy in fact they know exactly how poisoness that mindset truly is and that it could end their very careers if they ever adopt it....nope WINNERS FIGHT TO WIN BY PURE AND UTTER NONSTOP DOMINATION LEAVING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO CHANCE WHEN IT COMES TO THE ULTIMATE JUDGE WHICH IN THE NHL IS THE SCOREBOARD.


Thats why the Oilers are on the Cusp of being Champion or BUSTS....they have all of the ingredients but they have no instincts as a group...no KILLER INSTINCTS AS A GROUP...MANAGEMENT FROM KEVIN LOWE DOWN IS DEFENSIVELY SCARRED AND SELF-BRANDED...this means this Olers group is dooomed to failure long term....


Is this simple....you run an NHS System...you focus 100% on Offense and on scoring goals...you have NO SECONDARY DEFENSIVE GEAR in fact you have no defensive gears at all NONE NO DEFENSIVE POISONS RUN THROUGH YOUR ENGINES...what you do have is a PROTECTIVE VISCIOUS NASTY GROUP OF SERIOUS NHLers with VETERAN TEETH THAT REALLY DO BITE......and they are the ONLY DEFENSE ON THE TEAM AND HEIR JOB IS TO DEFEND THE FORWARDS WHO RUN UP THE SCORES TO RECORD HIGHS NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT....this means team toughness and comittment from EVERYMAN....especially the Defensemen on every line who HAVE TO BE A PROTECTIVE BACKBONE FOR THE OFFENSIVE FORWARDS PILING UP POINTS AND GOALS ....the SECOND SOMEONE GETS FRUSTERATED AND EVEN THINKS ABOUT CHEAPSHOTTING ONE OF YOUR GOLD COINS....EVERYONE FREAK OUT.....simply because your Team know man for man that OFFENSE MEANS WINNING AND OFFENSE COSTS PIECES OF FLESH BECAUSE OPPONENTS GET DIRTY WHEN YOU EMBARRAS THEM......but they also know that EVERY TEAM FACES THIS SAME REALITY....sooooo....you dont have to tell these championship level men that they need to protect their gold coin skill players AT ALL TIMES because NO ONE WINS WITHOUT THEM and the opponents best chance of beating you is by beating them down....its simple freaking simon stuff fellas.

When a Kevin Lowe brainwashes everyone around into defense-first PARANOID THINKING....then suddenly no one believes it is their job to protect the gold coins because the Team primary focus is on DEFENSE....lol...its regressive and retarded....this is why the Oilers defensemen although good players cannot learn how to be Championship D-Men they do not know how to grow teeth because no one is instilling this ability into them through the philosophy and Systems they are given...they dont SEE THE CRITICAL VALUE OF THROWING THEMSELVES UNDER THE BUS TO PROTECT THEIR GOLD COINS...right now that is McDavid and Nuge and Leon....everybody else has to give everything to protect these three guys first and foremost.....they need to be able to PLUNDER OPPONENTS...to embarrass them to RUN UP SCORES EVERY NIGHT WITH NO FEAR OF BEING BEHEADED BY SOME CRYBABY OPPONENT.


The NHL had changed...ask Milan who has learned to keep up to the evolution by adjusting the heaviness of his style....in todays NHL if you run up the score and opponents begin to hack and try to injure because they are embarrassed the OFFICIALS WILL CALL MORE PENALTIES AND BURY THE WHINERS EVEN DEEPER GAME IN AND GAME OUT......plus the Leagues disciplinary process is much much more impactfull today and it is USED CONSISTANTLY NOW....this means YES YOU CAN FIGHT MORE BUT ONLY UNDER THE CORRECT CIRCUMSTANCES....for example if McDavid and Leon run up the score on an unlucky Team and the Oilers have a 4 goal lead but are still pounding the snot out of the oppoenent then the Oilers roster as a whole will BE PROACTIVE DOLING OUT PUNISHMENT....

The trick is that FIRST YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO RUN UP SCORES.....then you need to be able to PROACTIVELY DEFEND THIS FOCUS AS YOU TAKE IT THROUGH 60 MINUTES and you need OFFENSIVE MINDED AGGRESSION TO DO THIS ....this is NOT DEFENSIVE MINDED AGGRESSION...this is why the Oilers are considered weak even with Lucic and Kassian….their team mentality has been brainwashed so badly towards regressive defensive thinking that they ALWYS EAT THE FIRST SHOTS and NEER RECOVER.....lol...only try to RETALIATE...this is their real personality...seriously....they play a retaliatory style of hockey and it show clearly through everything they do on and off the ice….a defensive retaliatory mentality from top to bottom...no killer instinct to be found there fellas...ROFLMAO....so many injuries to young elite players happened to Oilers assets because of this organisational defense obsession weakness it is pitifull....

They have to learn to punch first and most and not stop for 60 minutes...its that simple...but that is a 100% offensive mindset....a Playoff all-or-nothing Overtime mindset....every night.

Its a Team personality the Oilers have tried to build and rebuild for 20 years now almost....but the System to support this has to come first...the Oilers have made the same errors for decades now because organisationally they have tried to put the horse before the cart...due to Kevin Lowes vision he knew the pieces but he didnt know their value from anything other than hs own defensively poisoned mindset or how they really did ever fit together offensively...so he honestly followed his gut and instinct loyally...its all he had to offer....if Kevin Lowe had had the operational onsights Wayne had or Mactavish had then he would have UNDERSTOOD HOW THE WHOLE SYSTEM WORKED.....but Kevin Lowe was COMPARTAMENTALISED as a CHAMPIONSHIPLEVEL DEFENSEMAN..and he COULD NOT CONNECT TO HOW THE OFFENSIVE GUYS THOUGHT OR DID OR FIT IN....this is something the today Oilers have also been lacking the acumen to COMPARTAMENTALISE THEIR DEFENSEMEN WITHIN THEIR OVERALL GROUP...its a tactical advantage....for maybe the last time....the Oilers NEED THE MOST OFFENSIVE MINDED SYSTEM ON THE PLANET...and its called Moma2s Newge Hockey System....nothing else will do....not T-Mac who was schooled by the NHS HARD IN THE PLAYOFFS and then began using it in his San Jose Model...or Gully who was basiclly raised on NHS influences...not Dellow and his lies or Eakins and his BS stories....they need the real deal now.They have everythng else.

I will watch this season go down the sewer before I will offer any more help....because there is no other solution...EVERY NHL TEAM needs to be using the NHS now to win and to win the Stanley Cup...to some degrees you must be NHS focused or you are not winning consistantly in todays game.

Listen...remember that Pakarainen whom Moma2 LIKES ...earned his bones...he performed as advertised in his role...he was caught up in one of the Oilers INTERNAL STRUGGLES BETWEEN DEFENSIVE AND OFFENSIVE DRIVERS....the Oilers were trying to change the look and face of their team and in cases like Pacmans they sometimes made change just for the sake of change of flavor not because the Players was lacking or underperforming...remember there are a lot of guys like Justin Schultz who NOW OWNS TWO STANLEY CUP RINGS that the Oilers rotating Coaching staffs cumulatively REFUSED TO USE PROPERLY OR TO GROW PROPERLY that are now performing and producing at a high level elsewhere...and guys like Nail Yakupov who still hasn't even hit his mid-curve and who could now be considered seasoned if one went by the Red Wings Model of patience....lol...think about it....if you WIPE YAKUPOVS FIRST 4 YEARS AWAY AND CALL IT DEVELOPMENT IN WHAT IS CONSIDERED THE NHLS PERFECT NURSERY and he is JUST NOW BEING ALLOWED TO HIT THE NHL LEVEL.....see how derelict the Oilers truly have been and still are...they are losing Parjarvi for the same reasons they have lost others of ELITE POTENTIALS.....for goddness sakes Nail would just now be making his first real NHL impacts in his 3rd year and first full year in Detroit....IMHO and now after over a decade of this analytical learning...my... Just some observations....the Aves have poor stick management habits deeply ingrained and now a part of the catalysation of the production curve that guides their Systems....in short tell Connor to drive the puck right to the net on 50% of his possesions and make it a high possession night...I don't mean DIRECTLY there EVERY time....but drive wide or EXTRA WIDE and THEN TAKE IT IN AND DEKE....but make sure you handle it in a net drive dynamic because this is when they will foul you the most with their sticks and this is where the Officials will relentlessly punish them..if you overpass then their critical flaw is not exposed...get it Connor? Do it Connor.


I want every Oilers defenseman to THINK about things when they find themselves way up on the blueline with isolated possesions if I see another d-man with enough time to wind up and unload an All-Star slapshot from a middle-in angle so as NOT TO ROCKET IT OUT OF THE ZONE IF THE SHOT MISSES...I will fire someone... you only throw wrist rockets when the opponent is hurrying you up and they are GIVING YOU THE BLUELINE PERIPHERY by process dummies...so use it ASAP....


The depth lines are working their arses off....two changes there...number one get Strome the hades off the ice or something put him on wing or whatever but he is a skating disaster tonight identify and rectify it immediately and diagnose it postgame...no big deal but do it now....second.....the Defense MUST begin to provide much more offensive support to the forwards and this FOR CERTAIN means getting off quick accurate mid-power 3/4 rotation slapshots...get it dummies 314 rotation means not a full windup with less velocity and more accuracy and get the shots off FAST because these depth lines always establish a net and perimeter presesnce almost immediately and they are designed to hold this dynamic using their cumulative strengths so as opposed having the defense immediately look to put the puck back into a McDavid or Hopkins hands when working with the depth lines they need to GET IT BACK INTO THE RED ZONE IN AT OR AROUND THE NET ASAP no excuses...and let the battlezone be on the net perimeter or closer.


Remember the Aves are reaching to much with their sticks across the board and it is endmic….so accelerate from them and make them skate with you make them chase you and foul you and let them know THAT FROM NOW ON 50% OF TEAMWIDE POSSESIONS ARE COMING RIGHT TO THE NET NOW AND THE TOP LINE WILL BE LUGGING IT IN LIKE THE 2ND LINE BUT THE 3RD AND 4TH WILL HAVE SLAPPERS BOOMING PUCKS RIGHT BACK INTO THE PHONEBOOTH ALL NIGHT LONG NON-STOP AND ITS GOING TO BE A LONG HARD NIGHTS WORK STOPPING GREASY GOALS FROM GOING IN ...they cant skate with you...and make sure you protect hard when closing on net from the extended poke checks try to go inside to outside instead of the normal drive. I don't think they can defend the Oilers top line if they focus on a North/South give and go high speed penetrating take it to the net in different ways style....keeping possession as much as possible to deny the Aves top line even touches...I don't think the Aves have the team defensive depth to stop the 3rd and 4th lines if they KISS and the defense does as told and literally POURS 3/4 slappers accurately into the basket for the grinders....remember DEFENSE when you do this QUICK SHOTS BACKINTO THE BASKET you have to ALWAYS BACK BACK UP AND EVER GO IN TIGHT BECAUSE WHEN YOUR FORWARDS MISS IT THEY WILL BE STORMING BACK ON YOU and you are ALLOWING FOR THIS you KNOW they will recover a lot of pucks so if you JUST SHUT UP AND STAY BACK IMMEDIATLY AFTER TAKING THE SHOT AS A UNIFIED PAIR then you will come out on top.....if oe of you defensemen getsin to deep supporting the depth lines this way they will turn it up on you like they did on Stromer….get it done.

See fellas...it works like this....you listened tonight to what little advice was given and truly you stopped the bleeding and turned the game around...in many ways...I actually showed you how to stop the Aves primary focus which is to always use the late support...not really an upspeed focus just the floating lazy less committed late support.....one d-man in always....and one hanging back and in the middle looking got cut off any angles back on them...they haven't changed their System focus in YEARS...the first goals was one they picked up when Nail was there it was a DIRECTED REBOUND GOAL which is something the Aves focus on and should have been in the Pre-Game book everyone got ..well...pregame....it was textbook NHS directed rebound playaction...and it worked as it is supossed to work...Talbot made the first save how 99.9% of NHLers would make it and he put his rebound where and when the same 99.9% of them would have dropped it.....but no one had neutralised the late incoming support...simple...no one was prepared....and Talbots history combined with Team mentality meant a collapse.....smart move to pull him but I would have done it sooner...just cause everyone is sooo touchy these days.

I could have continued blogging and fed you this data but its not my job....you SHOULD have had it pre-game...its here in the thread....as well as more detailed ways to shut down the Aves...you just have to work to find it....had you begun the game the way you played it after you made these few small adjustments from the FIRST PERIOD ON you would have likely won the game.....by the end of the 3rd you had forced the Aves out of their wheelhouse and made them adjust their system to a full on N/S end to end rush style...this means you had taken THE DRIVERS SEAT...you ran out of time..to little to late...but you COULD have had it all had you been working with Moma2 from pre-game plan to post-game celebration.....when you are READY for the Aves to switch to their 2ndary focus you can ambush them and light them up....in other words you didn't just change the momentum of the game when you did as Moma2 said you GAVE YOURSELF A CHANCE TO EXPOSE AND ABUSE THEM OFFENSIVELY...but you weren't ready and instead a system checkmate ensued and it was deadtime......but had you been ready this deadtime would have been used by you to score the lights out while they remained in deadtime....I could have blogged my arse off and had you ready with offensive tactics detailed specific ones...so the first shift you did as I asked you would have been ready for their reaction and loaded for bear looking to score immediately....and repeatedly....but like I said its not my job....I gave you enough again tonight to validate the NHSs true impacts...I turned the entire games momentum by giving you accurate advice based upon a WHOLE LOT MORE DATA...the adjustments weren't random or off-the-cuff I just didn't support them with a lot of in-depth explanation . they came from many years of shutting down every NHL club using the NHS and from understanding how each Club has been using the NHS...to be frank the Aves haven't shaken off the Sakic Factor yet...their System is still based upon a lot of his influences...hence for someone with 45 years experience analysing NHL hockey its easy to see what they are doing even today if you watched Sakic play the game at an lite level and understand how he did it.

Ok,now you have worked with me and it has been a sound success.What do you do now? Look back and admit there is something real and tangible there and it helped your NHL Club or simply ignore a resource that gave you IMMEDIATE results based success.


If you were paying you would have the book already and would understand why Moma2 demanded the SPECIFIC tactical adjustments and for those paying attention yes it has to do with their Primary focus of using the late supports...normally Moma2 would approach dissecting and dominating the Aves with a Forechecking clinic and attack because it is easier to squeeze offense out of them when you target and expose their System in their own zone early and often....but we didn't want to spend more time or really give you any more free value for nothing....its passe now.For those curious YES there are specific offensive pushbacks used when the Aves are exposed that allow you to really abuse thm on the scoreboard....and YES Moma2 could have posted them in real-time early enough and often enough for T-Mac and McDavid to have kicked arse tonight...and there is a lot more actually that the Oilers can easily do to really enhance the production of what they are trying to accomplish right now Systemiclly.

Changing Coaches will do NOTHING....there is zero evidence that positive traction can be gained from changing Coaches.

Larrson and Klefbom will NEVER GROW COJONES WITH TEETH...forget it...Nurse will always be the meanest Oilers Defenseman and this is a joke....IF THESE TWO MEN evolved their own games to another level of NHL Maturity they could change the Oilers future and fortunes....just these 2 could do that much.


The Oilers 4th line is setting the example that I personally believe the entire Club should follow...good honest safe olde school KISS hockey...with teeth behind it.

Moma2 giving a pre-game dissection of the opponents System focuses....the Oilers Players all listening and interacting as this happens...RNH then gives his views on how to use the Oilers System to attack the opponent....then Larrson gives his views on how to stick to the System to defend the opponent....then the remaining Forwards give their perspectives and vision on whether or not Larrsons ideas will work or not % wise....then the remaining defensemen give their perspectives and vision on wether or not the Forwards ideas will work or not % wise.......all of this input is being OVERLAIN ATOP the NHS Template of the Opponents Systems gven by Moma2....you do this every night and you have the perfect winning Formula and gameplan every night...you can only trip yourself once you get to this level of o-operative group catalysed SYSTEM HONEST execution.


You see there is a lot of work the Players need to do that is being foisted upon the Head Coach...the easiest job to define is the Head Coaches because all he has to do is teach a simple System and then there is video for everyone dubbed in any language you need(T-Mac has IMHO done his job wether you approve of his style or not) ....Moma2 and the Players could create the perfect Pre-Game Plan in a 60 minute meeting before every game or after every game.....60 simple minutes....then T-Mac could do his job properly with players who have a PREPARED UNIFIED MIND .

Here is a simple yet effective NHS TEST...a FINAL EXAM for the OILERS.....this is it BigDogs….Moma2 says you play a full 60 minute game where you MUST use the give and go on every single play...every single possession....no quick-shots...no immediate transitions and sprints....nope...EVERYTHING leading up to and including the shot in goal must catalyse directly out of a give and go....doesn't matter is you use 15 foot or 45 foot passes....E/W or N/S ….it matters not but EVERY SNGLE POSSESION YOUR CLUB HAS FOR 60 FULL NHL MINUTES GOES DORECTLY INTO A KISS GIVE-AND-GO WITH A QUICK RELEASE of ANY TYPE OF SHOT ONETIMER STYLE TO FINISH.

If you want to set a baseline to build from begin to give EveryMan a chance to use his STRENGTHS no matter what that power may be....you need to give ROOM FOR EVERY MAN to use his individual skillset without going full-on River Hockey creative.....soooooo….EVERY NHL SYSTEM ALLOWS FOR THE USE OF THE G&G...full stop.

This is a test of Player Coach and Group discipline....this is a test for the Players who will have to work to find ways to beat the opponents Systems using only the G&G lucky for them there are unlimited variants one may use...deadly terminal ones...like the Dynasty Oilers used....if I told you that this test was the first step to introducing you to the full and complete never before unveiled Moma2s NewAge Hockey System and that I was teaching you how to play YOUR OWN PERSONAL BRAND of Oilers Dynasty Hockey in the Coles Notes form....would you believe me?

When you have a Prepier Power Forward YOU HAVE TO AKNOWLEDGE IT....when you hire a PREMIER NHL POWER FORWARD YOU you try to do it for the same reasons all other NHL Clubs would do it....to gain and OPTIMISE a PREMIER NHL ASSET.....and this means that unless Milan Lucic Pre-Oilers FITS PERFECTLY INTO A ROLE in your System similar to the role he has filled his entire career...he is being misused.....when you DO insert him and he doesn't produce....then you are forced to UNDERUSE him......and if you do this long enough you de-value him and in the NHL TIME WAITS FOR NO G.M.....lol...and when values drop it can take YEARS TO REESTABLISH THEM MARKETWISE....f the Player is young enugh and good enough to EVER re-establish.

The Oilers TEMPORARILY altered thweir Systems to fit Milan... and they were rewarded...but remember this was just after Patty Maroon had played a big role in establishing the BigMan role within the Oilers System...unfortunately the Oilers decided to change gears System-wise shortly after Milan bagan to establish himself in Maroons role with sucess....after that EVERYTHING HAS BEEN ONE BIG LONG STEADY DOWNWARD GRADIENT...and now Milan has to decide if EVEN HE can re-establish in Edmonton or if needs a fresh start to keep his Legacy solid or if he wants his career to spiral down right where it is and collect his paydays along that way...no harm no foul.


Justin Schultz was a player you ADJUST FOR same with Nail Yakupov....same with Dubnyk....same with Gagner and Eberle and Hall and many many others....why spend time and resources and waste the inputs of pêople who are Hall of Famers like Gretzky seeking out and finding then evaluating and then retaining SPECIAL SKILLSET IMPACTFULL PLAYERS when you are feeding them into a PROCESS that has a System that CAN NOT OR WILL NOT accomodate enough flexability to allow Players to be who they are to have PERSONALITIES that shine through into their work on the ice which is really who they are.....the Oilers have been DEFENSIVELY POISONED for 15 years now....from the INSIDE.....they have damaged or destroyed defaced or devalued 25-35 very good NHL careers in that time.


This is the problem...if you put Lucic on the 2nd line and make it a Power Foward Friendly line then essentially your 4th line becomes you 2nd line.....because Milan needs to play with linemates who can get the job done plain and simple...this means 2 DEFENSEMEN WHO HAVE TEETH AND CAN PINCH THE WALLS...and ONE MORE Power Forward up front with him.....but 4 out of the 5 men on the ice HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT A POWER FORWARD FOCUSED STYLE....every shift with Milan or you simply dont get you moneys worth...there were a lot of knuckle busters cheaper than Milan who could have gotten McDavid through his NHL puberty which is where he is now....if thats the only reason he was brought in then MOVE him ASAP for all concerned....you want Milan to be ADDING TO AN ALREADY STRONG POWER FORWARD FOCUSED LINE....not making him the only power forward impact on the freaking ice.....lol.....yes T-Mac I saw the Pre-Gamer today....but you are missing something BigDog....the main reason Milan cannot get caught finishing his checks completely is because some opponents SYSTEM FOCUSES refuse to let you do this unless you commit to a 5-man hitting unit....you see....dummies...if EVERYONE IS ABLE TO EXECUTE AND IS ON THE SAME PAGE YOU HAVE THE OILERS 4TH LINE WHO ARE ALL COMITTED TO AND CAN FINISH THEIR CHECKS PROPERLY AND EXIT THOSE CHECKS IN DOMINANT POSITIONS ... hence...BUILDING A STRONGER LINE........ the Oilers cannot put Milan in a position to suceed unless they put a Chaisson or one of the 4th liners who can properly finish a check and come out on top every time with him and Connor and unless BOTH DEFENSEMEN GROW TEETH AND CAN SUPPORT THE STYLE THE HEAVY STYLE....then Connor can be Connor and it hurts no one on the Line which can still play Power Foward focused NHL Hockey.....you know...PLAYOFF STYLE HOCKEY which is what Milan was born for.
I simply havent seen the System and Command structure on and off the ice accommodate Lucics strengths PROPERLY NOR OPTIMALLY.

This is where the rubber hits the road...if you disconnect from Moma2s Pre-Game Analysis right now ...which YOU ARENT GETTING FOR FREE ANYMORE....then your next Pre-Game Plan will most certainly be sub-par by Moma2s standards and will likely sandbag you.

So if the proper Pre-Game Preparation and Plan is NOT PROVIDED to the Coach and his Assts. prior to the next game and if everyone as a whole doesn't recognise the tweaks recently made as a CONSUMABLE commodity...you will DISCONNECT AS MANY NHL CLUBS FREQUENTLY DO when they play with fire.....you need to be able and ready to make the EXACT RIGHT TWEAKS during the next game....not walk into the next game wearing the olde tweaks from some other past games.....lol....lol....that is like relying on statistics which are only records of PAST EVENTS and have absolutely zero value in anticipating nor predicting nor navigating NEW DEVELOPING EVENTS.....this is a mistake many Teams beginning to rip off the NHS make.....lol...lol...lol....they have no guide and no instructions....just a massive intentionally disjointed Book of Chaos.

It never took Moma2 long to figure out WHY a Team was not winning every game it played...this was always Moma2 goal....every game was its own reality its own universe...so there was NEVER ANY LOOKING PAST THE CURRENT SITUATION...ever...and EVERY GAME WAS APPROACHED EXACTLY THE SAME WAY...with a 110% intention of finding the correct way to win.....hence a perfect record was ALWAYS the goal and DISAPPOINTMENT WAS IMPOSSIBLE AND FAILURE WAS IMPOSSIBLE and those things were not a part of the equation...just WINNING and learning NEVER LOSING....not riding an emotional rollercoaster...emotions are TOOLS to be used properly not to be UNLEASHED....lol...emotions that are regressive are NOT A PART OF THE WINNING FORMULA....not when you are HERE AND NOW in the MOMENT.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to lose in long streaks...Moma2 NEVER DID....except as a learning teenaged Student-Coach(I got extra HS/Credits) then Moma2 did in fact experience a long losing streak...a SEASON LONG ONE...Moma2s FIRST ONE and the ONLY one that ever went like that...one lesson was enough...and it was one of the Womens Teams Moma2 coached that had to endure the experience....not an easy thing to go through without getting a few scratches and scars....LMAO.....I will say this much.....while Coaching mens Teams I saw some pretty wild stuff happen when emotons got out of control.....lol...but I never ever say guys coming back to the bench trying to shake gobs of their opponents HAIR out of their sweaty hands..... the men I coached generally had to have a REWARD a PERSONAL one...one THEY thought was HUGE or BIG....only then did you get their best generically speaking there are always anomolys…..weirdos like Gretzky and Moma2.....he Women I coached were playng for the Holy Grail every time they competed EMOTIONS LEADING THE CHARGE EVERY SINGLE TIME....Men focus INTENTIONS as a driver and Women focus EMOTIONS as a driver....this was in Moma2s generation over 1/2 a CENTURY AGO....and this is a perspective of the PAST but must be considered in terms of todays game.....today there is LESS OF A DEFINED LINE BETWEEN THE DRIVERS OF MEN AND WOMEN...and this is directly related to the MARITAL DYNAMICS PRESENT IN SOCIETY.....many many more kids grow up with Mothers as their PRIMARY caretakers and teachers...their SIGNIFICANT IMPACTORS are women who HAVE NOT EVOLVED AWAY FROM THEIR EMOTIONS BEING THEIR PRIMARY DRIVER AS TIME HAS PASSED....so today the MEN are more like the olde school WOMEN in how they approach the things they do....they are HYBRIDS and the youngest are even TRIBRIDS this is an incredibly complicated dynamic to navigate if you aren't aware of it....many a present day NHL Coach has lost the core value communication conduits with individuals first then with entire rooms if those individuals are core value leaders with HYBRID OR TRIBRID leadership drivers.

I am trying to flesh out how difficult it is in todays competitive sports world to build a proper team....or to create and maintain The Winning Formula if you don't have a REFINED BOOK on these small details I am discussing ALREADY IN YOUR HANDS then you are wayyyy behind the curve....then we can toss in the PARENTAL IMPACTS of the INTERNET....and how this impacts Coaching and teaching ...the unavoidable still evolving online dynamic that we MUST CONSIDER in todays competitive sports world and also in every area of todays world I guess.

So really which Goalie plays which games is NOT BASED ON HOW WELL ANY MAN DOES IN PRACTICE OR REALLY EVEN IF HE IS WINNING OR LOSING....it is based on giving his Club the best chance to win every night based upon the hard work and due diligence of MANY people who decide which asset fits best in which game.....not the pressure on the Head Coach to pull rabbits out of his arse or of the Tenders ability to shine in practice and in games like Kojacks dome?...lol...wonder wow many people remember Kojack and Beretta.....lol......anyways...In a properly run organisation everyone knows what to expect without the Coaches having to unwillingly share the freaking caramilk secret...right.....lol..EveryMan should understand enough about what he is doing to by proxy be in tune with the group....and with how the Team stacks up against opponents...after all the Players only need to log on Pre-Game to read Moma2 and the Coaches don't have to stress out...everyone will be in tune 24/7/365.

No dipsy doodle...means no practicing dipsy doodle...sometimes you need to reach into your front pocket for a handful of Dipsy Doodle....if the Oilers had a little in THEIR pocket last night its a 6-1 win for them......but no one could finish on Breakaways that were clearcut and everyone was looking to go low and THROUGH the goalie...everyone is hung up on the elbow-shot focus and for good reason they now look to shoot right through goalies..lol..however the N/S push isn't always what you want....on breakaways shooting is the optimal move as you close from deadmiddle with increasing speed..... dekeing E/W is harder to do at top speeds and is generally better than going N/S.Make sure everyone is putting in time working on their DEKES....and SIDE TO SIDE ACTION not PENETRATING dekes.....should have already been done even if its a lineup of guys doing a breakaway each to buy a ticket off the practice ice every time,it doesnt have to be a long complicated process but you HAVE TO LOCK IT IN NOW.

Moma2 had a lot to say but isnt on the payroll...so that was likely one of the most winnable games you will see this season and it should make you VERY VERY VERY NERVOUS...simply because something that we havent seen in Edmonton in a LONG TIME is BACK...its called bad karma....and its not being driven by Moma2.....Moma2 is looking up at the sky right now with great interest because EVERYTHING is a part of a bigger PATTERN...something is hapening in Edmonton that has to come to a head so to speak...something bigger has to play itself out.
That is the 2nd loss where loose stick management in terms of improper stickchecks LOST NHL POINTS...thats 4 DEFINATE points lost to this...sorry Larrson but you really dropped the ball on one tonight....@2:27 a poorly executed stick check...@ 2:28 same.....@2:57 you layed another Squirrels egg....this time you were even leaning BACKWARDS to finish it off...you were exhausted BigDog and the Coaches should have known it....the stickchecks are part and parcel of that and again the Coaches should have noted this AND this issue is a CORE VALUE issue we JUST WENT OVER COMPLETELY A FEW GAMES AGO....so this is a Coaching issue purely....add in the fact that everyone is cookie-cutter on their work on dekes and breakaways obviously due to lack of even a MINUTE LEVEL OF PRACTICE and that no one picked up the tendancy or habit being across the board during the game EARLY ON...and we have another Coaching oversight...bad night for the Coaches.Moma2 hasnt considered discussing the Players...no need...this game should have been a wrap...but the Oilers allowed the fLames to force them out of their comfort zone...tacticlly....the first 2 periods were as expected...no big Coaching combat just basic head to head systems but in the 3rd the fLames made changes....and the Oilers didnt see it coming and didnt repy in time to save the 2 points...ironiclly the gameplan the fLames went to in the 3rd was the EXACT SAME ONE Moma2 told the Oilers to go to when they stopped their losing streak....RIGHT OFF THIS THREAD COMPLETELY...and the Oilers Coaches who are obviously tuned in now and reacting DID NOT SEE THIS COMING DOWN THE PIPE...Moma2 wanted to yell through the TV because everything was so easy to see developing and coming.The Oilers could have easily stuffed the fLames to begin and end the 3rd period...but they didnt know what to do...Moma2 DID KNOW WHAT TO DO...the Oilers PROVED they could do pretty much anything they wanted to execute against the fLames...techniclly....but they werent able to read the fineprint of the game....they just cannot see below the first layer of the onion while games are developing in real-time ...it is a long running flaw or weakness.


Ironiclly on one level had the score been run up ,the Pre-Game Plan was perfect and the fLames were being DESTROYED...however a lack or preperation lead to to many Squirrel Eggs being layed everywhere...and the Coaches failedto adjust the Pre-Game Plan at the very beginning of the 3rd....in fact to be blunt they actually came out in the 3rd and strayed from THEIR PRE-GAME PLAN INTENTIONALLY ..and then...failed to properly and accurately READ the fLames dynamic intentions or REACT to the fLames System changes.


We have not even touched upon the OTHER SIGNIFICANT PARTS OF THE GAME LAST NIGHT....that was a game where the fLames tough guys should have been reacting and we all KNOW THEY HAVE NONE...but instead Calgarys Coaches fired their guys up and showed them they HAD TO HIT FIRST EVERYTIME to force the Oilers tough guys to REACT INSTEAD OF ACT...get it?...Outcoached again the Oilers were...they were led down the garden path to be REACTIVE which in the NHL means TAKE PENALTIES....Calgarys physicality was CLEARLY TACTICAL as everyone knows their lineup is far from tough or gritty...so last night was a TEAM BUY-IN ...a solid one.....a buy-in to a well played Coaching move that neutralised one of the Oilers stringest areas early in the game and throughout the entire game....I could see Oiler Players who WANTED TO ACT instead of counterpunch...but there was no focused organised managed drive by the Team as a whole to make this happen.


The Oilers FUMBLED the Ball.....shot themselves in the foot...layed a Squirrels Egg...self-imploded in the 3rd....D-men were tired as dogs.....the Coaches should read a fewposts back where the advice was to use the 4th line as a STALL for d-men....and run 3 offensive lines all night long...keeping the d-men fresh.Larsson was bagged and he was bagged long before he made those mental errors due to fatigue burning him out....he wasnt lazy his body was makng tactical adjustments to accomodate for his fatigue level...it is clear to see...he is making the right decisions but his body and brain are compensating at a high level and they begin to re-asses his actions and they begin to compact or shrink them to save energy they look for the path of least resistance against his will...its called being burned out and it happens to every high level athlete andits a Coaches job to be looking for it and to identify it immediatly and to remedy it.


Nurses reputation and Larssons reputations BOTH took HUGE HITS last night....so did the Oilers Coaches...and I am stopping short of a full analysis you only got the tip of the ice-burg man...like 10% of it....if Moma2 broke this complete game down...it would be damaging to say the least....so nuff said.This season will LEAK AWAY NOW...the Oilers will flirt with sucess in spurts butthe streaks just wont happen and at the end of the season THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL HEAR THE OILERS COACHES SAYNG.....they just couldnt seem to put together enough small win streaks to overcome the betting line to make the Playoffs.The real danger now is that someone pulls the pin on the Chia and T-Mac Show...if there IS A TURNAROUND AREA UP AHEAD on an NHL regular seasons ONE-lane mountain ROAD …..the Oilers are almost there...and will have to decide if more change is needed.T-Mac doesnt need to go...he NEEDS MOMA2....he needs the NHS....but like Moma2 told you to begin your tenure T-Mac...you will be consumed by the Feud and will become collateral damage...your Bosses will NEVER GIVE YOU THE NHS...ever...they will let this Club drive itself into the ground for as long as Katz owns the Team...for sure...this is clear......get ready caus Katz is being forced out of Pro Sports along with a lot of his buddies right now....look for a Gretzky led ownership coup.

Same thing you do with the Leafs...deny them the middle and room by playing the periphery using the wall as a 6th man to pin them there all game long as you ground and pound them....deny a wimpy team river hockey and its relatively easy to just lean down on them and grind them to pieces....but this has to be an All-In hitting focus....the Oilers last Cup run with Mac-T at the helm was based off of a regular season where everyone bought into a winning formula based upon a team buy-in to the correct proper hitting game...full on contace focus and very well managed by Mac-T one that was abandoned for the Playoffs where Mac-T OPENED UP ON EVERYONE WITH HIGH POWERED CORE VALUE DYNASTY DRIVEN OFFENSE....a lot of which helped Moma2 build the NHS.


Connor McDavids GUTS have been telling him for a long long time that this MacTavish inspired Philly driven regular season/Dynasty Oilers Playoffs COMBO is ALL HE NEEDS TO WIN THE STANLEY CUP.


This is NOT the San Jose Model which T-Mac has now given up on..this NEED Connor feels is an entirely different look....and its EXACTLY WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED....ALL GRIT ABSOLUTELY CLEAN AND MEAN DAMAGING PHYSICAL HITTING FOCUSED NHL HOCKEY.......executed by EveryMan...kinda like the fLames did to the Oilers last night...kinda EXACTLY....the fLames rubbed the Oilers skill players PEDIGREES into their noses good and hard....skill against skill playerwise the Oilers were proven to be wimpy and unwilling to engage. Connor is big enough to face a man and throw a punch..how big is Bennet or Tkchuck and they tamed McDavid and Nursec???.....

Fighting did not leave the NHL....there are just now 1-2-3-4 weight classes who are now willing to engage eachother...last night the fLames little guys went after Oilers skill players then turtled when Bigger Oilers went after them ….the Refs refused to call penalties on the fLames for instigating then covering up....letting them draw the Oilers into penalty after penalty because the Oilers Coaches COULD NOT ADJUST.

IMHO last night Captain Connor should have picked a fight...it was the right time and a Crosby would have done it or a Gagner or a Weight any skill player like a Tavares or even a Stamkos... instead he executes a perfect neck-crank on his way down to be facewashed and roughed up with a few good shots...hey Connor did you get the news yet...they ARENT EVER COMING TO PROTECT YOU IN A WOLF-PACK....NOT EVER.


There are DEEP ISSUES WITHIN THIS CLUB....I would go over the gametapes again and every time I see McDavid or RNH or Draisaitl getting worked over I would look at the individual reactions of EVERY SINGLE MAN EMPLOYED BY THE EDMONTON OILERS INSITU...I would make sure to review at least 25 incidents....to get enough evidence...because IMHO a LOT OF OILERS undervalue their skill players and over value themselves including coaches who don't let the dogs out...anyone not displaying the correct facial expression or physical reaction when their gold coin gets stolen...needs to go ASAP...clean house beginning with D-Men most to least valuable...move em out enmasse again.....just look at the video evidence of who really knows and cares.

I guess saying Hammer and Anvil Standup defense with a 2-layer well managed high energy forecheck and a generic Possesion/Transition focus....would mean nothing to you fellas huh?


Why are some Teams playing a 2-zone game and not even implementing a Forecheck...that is a rip-off to th fans and is boring and not fun to watch...they need to bring bak Faceoffs from pinned pucks behind the net to motivate the teams to Forecheck again because it is hurting the game by NOT having those dimensions back...its time to retroactively implement these olde rules....we need the puck pursuit to keep the game fast competitive and flowing and the overall League levels of offense needs the Faceoffs in the offensive zones and the many goals that come out of Faceoff plays...a HUGE dimension of Hockey was taken away and it should be returned....time is not an issue any more...Clubs now build ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEXES THAT ARE MORE THAN ARENAS NOW and they WANT FANS STAYING LONGER and spending more money....so the game CAN SLOW DOWN NOW and it CAN ACCEPT the Play Stoppages.....times have changed....we need those Board Pins and Faceoffs returned to the game ASAP.
