Hi BlueThunde4All....excellent synopsis....bang on again.

You bet man, Rugby and Basketball are prime examples of ingredients I used when putting together the NHS focuses.....and to make everything blend together seamlessly in terms of differing philosophies meeting in an agreed upon middle... I built the TSP to REMOVE THE GOALTENDER FROM THE MENS CEREBRAL WORKLOAD and ultimately laser "weld" it all together.

You are 100% right about the need to incorporate the TSP at every level from pre-gameplanning to on-ice execution to post-game analysis....and that a failure to execute on any of these levels reduces the TSPs effectiveness and produces Corgi-like visuals and impacts.

It is clear they are trying....but they fail to admit the reality that speed is of the essence,TSP on-the-fly management requires fluent NHS understanding and acumen so one can use IDA and IDM to mate up enhancements to procedure prevent unneeded adjustments to process.Sure,they are ...s l o w l y....learning the NHS.....but this isnt good enough.They have hit the wall now and they need more hands-on in the moment real-time NHS acumen....the cheap copy they are trying to pass off as the real thing is now undrivable for THEM....not for Moma2.....lol...the BETTER their Systm produces as we see...the HARDER it is for TMac to kep unde control....this is because he ADDS NHS philosophy nd concepts and tactics TANGIBLY improving his horsepower but he does not improve the transmission ,steering or brakes,all of the control mechanisms are now severely undergunned......43 shots and 1 goal....evidence of loose steering and a lot of drifting.

TMac and everyone else in the NHL CANNOT evolve to the next level without and NHS trained Analyst on their team.....and this means they have to find my students....which means anyone they consider must pass muster with Moma2 ....not the fickle online/MSM/NHL peoples-court of popular opinion......right now only 2 people are qualified to possibly recieve Moma2s full NHS endorsement ....one is an active NHLer and one is BT4All.

BTW....lol...I almost had a chuckle watching the shooter-tutor.....the video is nice....but the NHS would be doing things sooooo differently.....soooo many bad habits are being taught in that video I cant take it...yes it fits traditional Hockey and NHL training and thinking.....lol....but as we know the NHS throws convention and tradition out the window.

I would outline the MANY CHANGES I would make to what was being done in the video....but much of it is proprietary...I now know how difficult it really is for most to reproduce NHS type vision and thinking and I simply do not wish to help pros for free anymore ,enough NHS stuff is out here floating around now....you are a special exception BT4All you do posess the right vision and thinking to easily see where Moma2 is coming from .

TMac....needs an REAL NHS Consultant or a " Craftsman " now....his roughing in and grunt work is over.....this is about details and this is where winning gets expensive not only in hockey but in anything you strive to do.....as they say "The Devil is in the Details".....TMac has to pay a "specialist" now....if he can find one.....lol....and he doesnt have time or games to waste.... IMHO time is running out...this thread is almost at 100 pages...for very good reason...if TMac understood what this meant he would look at things differently....the volume of anonymous NHL traffic here is epic...the impacts of this thread are epic.But TMc doesnt know this thread is the Vig for another focus Moma2 has.....it is a content trade off quid pro quo....but Moma2 is out of the dynamic soon...shortage of time....and its not only TMac who needs Moma2...so do LA-Chicago-St.Louis-Pittsburg-NY-Tampa and the list goes on.Any PROFESSIONAL will spend resources tracking the source of NHL evolution down and since 2009 this will lead directly to Moma2 or PROFESSIONALS are not involved at all.

Jordan.....go back to your proper equipment choices....Adam had and has nothing to offer you....he is out of touch with todays brand of NHL hockey and he was never an effective teacher...he cheated so much it wasnt even funny.....FOs -backchecking-Gapping ect ect.....Mr.Shortcut has been causing a lot of trouble for a lot of players lately.

There are some basic NHS tenents you are overlooking and some tweaks to your mindset you need to make NOT tweaks to your equipment ...AFTER...you go back to NORMAL you can re-evaluate....Moma2 is not giving it to you now Jordan...ask your bosses for the NHS or settle for 2nd best....like Adam or someone else is teaching you to do right now....never 2nd guess yourself man....ever.Improve yourself and keep learning but never ever 2nd guess yourself.

I am not anti-Adam Jordan...he is just not qualified to be doing what he is doing, IMHO much of his work is regressive,his Era was not one devoid of numbers influences and thinking and he reflects this as he has inextricaby attatched himself to the advanced-stats movement via Gregor and ON.....if he was a student of the NHS much of what he is doing would be 86ed ASAP...this is not a good sign man .Moma2 WOULD NOT do to players games and heads what Adam and a few others do....they are NOT QUALIFIED to remove important pieces of an NHL Player if they do not have something equal or better to put back in .....based on a decade of NHS work....Moma2 IS QUALIFIED.

Yes,there are things you can do to change your presentation Jordan....but stick measurements are NUMBERS....Moma2 NEVER makes changes based on NUMBERS....changes YES....but numbers consideration....never.

You dont have to change someones shooting style to produce a quick-release LEVEL impact....and besides the answer as to why Jordan isnt a quick-release shooter has to do with his vision, hockey IQ,and sublime passing skills.Who does Ebbs have to pass to?Conner is one-and-done then chasing loose pucks....Lucic is one-and-done control the corner then stand in front of the net.The MOVEMENT is ERRATIC AND BROKEN....the CONTRAST IS ERRTIC AND INCONSISTANT FROM GAME TO GAME.

Jordan CAN 2x Clutch is a lot IF HE HAS A PASS OPTION open....which means he needs MORE CONTRAST AND MOVEMENT....he is a scalpel not a hammer .....Lucic is a Hammer....Conner needs to change his game like Nuge did....BECAUSE what we have is a SYSTEM NOT DESIGNED TO SUPPORT CONNERS OFFENSIVE ABILITYS FULLY AND COMPLETELY AND A PLAYER WHO IS A NATURAL DRIVER OF THE PLAYACTION BEING CAST AS A CATALYST....

Conner McDavid is a driver like Hall was who scores more and who enters the zones with slightly more pure speed and finesse than Hall did.....but Hallsy was grittier.... soooo dum-dums Hall actually fit TMacs System needs BETTER than McDavid.....lol.....now they are trying to BUILD AROUND CONNER....who is ...LMAO...a natural DRIVER trying to be a catalyst and losing his goal scoring touch doing so .....you dont build around a driver....you build around a CATALYST.

Finally....yes...there is only one Moma2.....the NHS is simply a projection of what Moma2 has cooking and it is very fulfilling and comforting knowing Moma2 can walk away any time making the NHS Unicorn disappear forever.....methinks the NHL has a lot to lose....it DESPERATELY NEEDS OFFENSE.....and now that Arenas DISTRICTS are becoming entertainment center cash-cows for owners LONGER GAMES provide more bang for the big bucks and no one will complain sooooo IMHO when pucks are pinned on the boards we will see Face-offs called like in the 80s....the NHL LOST HUGE OFFENSE and allowed MANY NHLers to get hurt on cheap shots from behind by guys looking to keep plays going because NO WHISLTE IS COMING , the entire game was damaged by removing the Face-offs...but no one had the cojones or data to stand up and prove it....Moma2 has been saying this and evidencing this for YEARS. So if the NHL loses the NHS...it loses its evolutionary cutting edge focus.MMMmmm....maybe the NHL itself should be PMing Moma2 huh Gary??....lol.

The bigger oilers dont shoot...so they should be laying some huge huge hits out there....every line has a beast on it so their linemates need to begin drifting some "bait' pucks in so the Beasts can LAY OUT SOME OPPONENTS cleanly.....make the term"take one for the Team" a serious piece of business against a team full of young prospects ....dont be afraid to BREAK SOME OF BABCOCKS TOYS...the Leafs have decided to take a risk like the Oilers did and play their highest end prospects immediatly risking injury to fragile young bodies and its not fair for the Refs to negate this risk for Mike Babcock , if the Oilers fail to abuse the Leafs like EVERY NHL TEAM ABUSED THEM FOR YEARS....the something is wrong......if TMac doesnt do to the Leafs what his Sharks did to the young Oilers before his tenure in Edmonton then he is NOT GIVING 100% because TMac knows very well what a juicy freebie a young fragile Club like TO really is when you put NHL level Playoff bite into your game.....and last time I checked the Oilers had squandered away 6 games to stubborn refusal to pay for the NHS and were MULTIPLE POINTS BELOE THE PLAYOFF CUT ALREADY.

30% of your o-zone possesions should be skated right to the net to deke the goalie.....he is a stringbean so work him over in tight......30% of the time....and remember how Dubby was ripped to pieces when he was trgeted duing his transition bckwards...sooooo...when you enter their zone with high speeds and force anderson to transition bck into his net go 3-4 feet into the zone and let it go IN STRIDE with no telegraphing snappy hard and heavy BAR DOWN.....look to shoot it bar to shoulders from long distance dead middle....dont be tking these long shots from angles....only from the middle....YOUR STICK HAS TO RELEASE THE PUCK DEAD MIDDLE ...you...dont have to be positioned dead middle the puck has to be coming in from that lane or position ....I want your shot coming from dead middle 3-4 feet into the zone in stride on-the-fly with no telegraphing,anywhere bar-down left side right side doesnt matter.

BTW.....the forecheck traditionally stops an easy d-zone exit which usually ends up creating a solid n-zone transition which normally ends up supporting a solid o-zone entry which if gently stirred results in a GOAL.This is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE....no one is willing to bleed or hurt opponents tonight....skate and sweat yes....pay the piper......no darn way is anyone doing that.

I read hockey threads and a very select few fanposters get things right consistantly in tems of their accuracy of observations of dynamic causality.They just dont know how to wax poetic about it....Moma2 does.

I was going to post this last night but didnt believe it was deserved so I held back.......but there was one particular aspect of the game which the Oilers missed completely and it hurt their process badly.....the NHS has protocals for contact....the Oilers didnt follow them.....in first with dominant body position ...out first with dominant body position....a contact is not a sucess unless we see this pattern.

People are poking fun at the play behind the net where 2 Oilers were working as a Pair on single defender and this led to a numbers discrepency netfront and it was an easy goal for the opponent....the particular playaction is fine example of what the Coaches are telling the men to do ....not verbally but in generic perspectives.......

Ask yourself WHY the 2 players working as pair did what they did.....what cued them to do what they did.?

Communication must be solid for an NHL team to function.....I dont see it now,so be it.

Just because I can............lol.............TMac....simply add a 2 layer deflection attack to what you were doing to produce the nice high volume shot games ....40+ shots per game...that was beautifull and possesions were being converted into shots on net at a very high % and that is EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED TO SEE .....and then add the 2 layer deflection attack and these 2 men can either hold ground or slice through timing themselves with the puck or one can hold and one can cycle through.......but ADD this ....remember I said to devote 30% of your o-zone possesions to skate right in and deke attacks...well add 25% 2-layer deflection tactics and remember this can be set up so it supports high speed zone entries like Conner makes because the 2 men supporting can slice through extending their sticks without holding ground ...they can support on-the-fly......or as I said earlier you can go one-and-one static and fly-by for your 2-layers of attack.....and it is extremely " hurry-up" because you can fly in your 2 layers of sticks for deflections and trigger with a 1/2 slapper or on-the-fly hard snappy wrister with good velocity from just over the blueline....soooooo...for example Conner could enter the o-zone at afterburner speed and drop the puck right inside the o-zone like 2 feet to a speedy player right behind him as he blast through into a deflection support role on-the-fly ,as his incoming supprt picks up Conners drop pass and snipes it in for the deflections at waist height.Conner should finish a lot of these himself IMHO.



This is your quick-fix and should let you earn a playoff spot...you are welcome.

This compromising adjustment will allow the Oilers to harness some of McDavid's speed while retaining volume shooting. That being said, the inherent issue of less mobile forwards will be evident once possession is lost. The game will remain as a full rink cycle if further adjustments are not made. If you let your foot off the gas pedal, offense will fizzle out very quickly.

You nailed it BT4All..........it is a compromise which ulimately leads to a dead-end for the San Jose Model forwards ....but these guys insist on sticking to their template...I get it but its difficult to help them without "really" helping them....so I am only offering band-aids.....lol...you know your NHS well BT4All.....you immediatly identified the focus limitations and consequences of the application....and you know very well it is not curative but is simply an enhncement of what they insist on doing.....lol...well done.

But it is still an improvement over what they are doing now.

I see the NHS principals TMac is trying to incorporate and I see how he is doing things piece-meal.....he doesnt understand you cannot pick and choose one or two core value pillars of the NHS and simply run with it expecting instant sucess or any type of consistant sucess.....lol.....the NHS creates signature stats patterns becuse it builds signature dynamics on the ice.....TMc does ok in terms of how he has worked with his System to produce the most important thing....consistant dynmics which lead to consistant conversion of possesions to shots on or in net.....this is the keystone focus to be frank....I DO NOT PREFER HIS SYSTEM....I DO NOT PREFER HIS SPECIAL TEAMS.....but from out of the things i do not prefer he is managing to project the end product I like to see. So really unless i am going to do a full on IDA and IDM analytical breakdown and do ALL OF HIS WORK FOR HIM FIXING HIS BROKEN CART.....lol....the band-aid solution is to simply show him how to produce some CONTRAST within the mess he insists on running out there system-wise in the o-zone especially , without helping him change his zone transitions or transits....as long as he can show me 40+ shots I can show him 4-7 goals even with his Humpty-Dumpty System just with some o-zone enhancements .I will outline no adjustments because to me this would be helping him......when I wont do it for free anymore.....they can pay us or bite it,I am just tired of watching crappy hockey so I am tossing TMac another bone. I am not bailing him out by a loooong shot.....lol....just making it easier to watch games as a Fan now that I am not blogging it in real-time.

I wont detail all of the many reasons I chose the tactics I did in terms of attempts to enhance the o-zone contrast.

The most important things I am giving Tmac which he misses entirely I believe are "nudges" towards a clear understanding on his own terms that he needs to micro-manage his teams o-zone possesions properly..or more optimally to be butter-soft about it. .......dont mess with anything else...simply better manage the o-zone possesions ASAP SO HE CAN RECOGNISE THE WEAKNESSES AND SHORTCOMINGS OF THE SAN JOSE MODEL SOONER.....the evidence doesnt lie.....and IMHO we have seen the best the San Jose Model can produce.....high corgi event games...volume shooting without a bigger-picture plan or process.....just fly the d-zone and n-zone then whip shot on net as soon as we cross the blueline into their zone then play rebound capture....a pure losing COMPTETE mentality.....built for big plodding team.......the San Jose Model as SAN JOSE PLAYED IT went....fly the d-zone ..fly the n-zone together slower to group up laterally at the blueline....throw a medium velocity shot on net causing a forced rebound times for the big strong support guys who have had time to roll into position and who have size and skills to corral those rebounds dropped in front and bury them nd to HOLD THEIR REAL ESTATE UNTIL THEY GET THE PUCKS........the n-zone was a slow down and form up transit used to set up timing for the rebound domination planned by the BIGDOGS.

The Oilers simply do not have the types of forwards to pull this off consistantly enough nd even if they did...Conners to fast for the San Jose Model PERIOD......the horrible irony is that the San Jose Model PLAN was concieved and committed to BEFORE McHope came tumbeling down the Time Tunnel from the 80's.

Laine-Schiefle....big guy and slick guy.....big guy needs to build up speed to attack on the fly immediatly in the o-zone to support his need to shoot long-mid rangers.....the slick guy needs to support this PRIMARY FOCUS where Laine shoots and he chases rebounds...when opponents stand Laines big body up just above or on the blueline on his rush attempts....it forces his linemate to begin looking for a 75% speed controlled E/W laterally focused attacks where he can be a 50/50 shot threat.....Laine recieves pucks in 2 spots......one to set up his rushes where he lets fly long-mid range and chases his shos...and one on the outside of the dot when he is coming in slower and controlled....soooooo...simply pinch them off with the forecheck BEFORE they can spring laine for the rush up-ice....then simply pinch them off in the o-zone by standing them up and deeper by the dots by always angeling one man off to the side early keeping the pass lane away every time so your Goalie knows what to expect force them to one side so they cannot get a lateral E/W attack going on you....the stand-up focus will negate both players strengths and will make them slug it out in the trenches.

Klefbom and Larsson back to back solid plays...Nuge being an offenseive shot threat all night long....and Talbot keeping it together ,by the eye this was the 1st game where the bigger men we now have IMHO truly made the difference .A couple of times last night Getzlaf looked like he was facing the NHLs future dominators....he just had that look....like a lot of opponents do now.....methinks McDavid put the Oilers soooo far over the top that the NHL consensus is that it is now acceptable to lose to the Oilers....lol...so more teams will be soon mailing in the 2 points like the Ducks did. ...opponents will begin simply looking at Oilers games as MULLIGNS on their collective schedules..... Conner give opponents as much excuse to lose as he gives his team to win.....lol....this is the real "McDavid Effect".....I myself might take a night or two off against him myself...really who will blame anyone Coach or Player for losing to the Oilers when Conner is on his game?

Lucic and Kassian and Maroon do not give opponents a reason to lose...Conner McDavid without any doubt does this every game....that is called a value-added player.....like Leon and Nugey were tonight taking the Bull by the horns......hidden value....which can not be quantified it must be experienced to be appreciated.

BTW.....I see the NHLs best Center-3Some on the Oilers right now as we speak...not potential baby...this is the BEST TRIFECTA OF CENTERMEN in the NHL right now....nobody has the depth Edmonton has up the middle now....you can get buried by any of the 3 Centermen in 3 different ways PURE Speed with Conner or crafty technical 2-way play with Nugey or the Heavy patient game with Leon....the Oilers can be a 1-2or3 line offensive force if they choose to be so....incredible option not possible without Nugeys Veteran experience and Leons very steady exceptional growth and learning curve[sooo mature for his age like Hopkins is and like Conner is ].Not a lot of rainbows and bubblegum in terms of personality ....these really are 3 serious personalities....pretty serious and intense guys who do not like to lose and who are quickly learning that if they keep their focus as a group they can each be the difference makers on any given night because all 3 have that ability to be difference makers,now they are learning how to keep it conservative and how to take less super high-risk decisions and more high-risk decisions....this is a MASSIVE departure from the past when Nuge had to push the river all by himself and his teammates had to consistantly make super-high-risk decisions by process ......now less overall super high-risk decisions are called for nightly and we are collecting the dividends of 6-12 LESS terminal type decisions being made per game. Our margin for error has diminished ..... guys are not gripping their sticks to tightly thinking they must carry the entire Team....guys are patient and steadfast and are now trusting each other....IMHO everybody now knows everybody is working as hard as they can every game.

TMac....I know you and your Crew of Coaches is struggeling on a game to game basis....I saw you last night....smart move to integrate more contrast into your o-zone focuses...not as much focus on the tip-ins after the mid-2nd period.....well done.......I dont know what to say BigDog....I have to watch this go down.....it would be wrong to undervalue the NHS at this point......and helping for free does this....there is no more NHS evolutionary upside from doing things the older ways...I would rather watch Columbus doing what the NHS espouses to be frank because is is the right way to play the game IMHO.

Tell Nugey to skate it in and deke wether he likes it or not....and someone start giving Slepyshev full focus as a designated shooter on every possesion...we want to give him more opportunity to lead now...he looks like the real deal but he needs to be the catalyst so he needs possesion control and a lot of touches...Slepyshev is good at passing then going to the hole but he needs the puck to force defensive transitions to be his best....so dont just make him the go to guy over and over....well this is till good....but try to let Anton handle pucks and make plays happen and remember he has a cannon so tell him to think shot first but let him know he can pass if he needs to....IMHO he is savvy so let him run with it more....let him feed Leon and then let Leon hit him with the backhand for the big crossice one-timer..... someone put a tack in Sekeras left skate so he takes a hitch-step over before he shoots the puck because this shin-pad stuff isnt funny anymore...Andre can bloody well step over more and he gets to many good looks to not wake the hades up as a Veteran and make this adjustment ....never mind TMac who should be on him already in nice way

The Arena is not fan-friendly sound-wise and it is a design issue.....lets not spend time debating and arguing over it ok?......the accoustics suck for NHL games and even if we were in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals[where the buildings energy/volume is an asset] the accoustics will not improve on their own without remedial work being done.....so lets stop cutting bait and get to work......NOW......this means dum-dums you have to spend more money designing and installing massive geometriclly designed and tacticlly placed fabric images of some of the Oilers famous moments and people.....and yes you CAN MAKE THEM REMOVABLE so you may keep the CONCERT LEVEL ACCOUSTICS THE BUILDING WAS DESIGNED FOR....error or not this is an obvious major oversight or intentional mis-step. 4 games have been lost to a lack of timely cohesive team-toughness....only Kassian has instinct and embarrasingly no one follows him.....4 games have been lost to Coaching technicalities and 3 games to poor player discipline......and 4 games due to PP breakdowns......that is FIFTEEN wins VOLUNTARILY SURRENDERED....this season is being GIVEN AWAY FOR NOTHING....30 vluable 2016-2017 Stanley Cup Playoff points frittered away.

The defense is still to clean and so are the top 9 forwards.....no little satan .....no Tikk......no Rat....no Gator...no Marchment....no Smid....no personality or spice....just kinda big and dumb with a small powerfull brain on top....like the Charachter from Mad-Max Thunderdome....the huge dude with the little-man riding him....

We need tough RW with better than Kassian speed[Torres] who can score AND FIGHT AND INITIATE AND AGITATE AND INJURE OPPONENTS....we have Ebbs and the Greenhorn....we need another man with a plan on RW...a PREDATOR.....who has a 4-5 year NHL reputation for hurting 2-3 opponents per year......send the Kid down and rent-a-nasty speedy RW or trade Ebbs straight up....this team is missing a dngerous finisher with predatory tendancies for Conner.....

I am extremely disppointed TMac that you DID NOT properly handle the bone I tossed you...all you had to make were a few small enhancements man....nothing serious....but you stuck to the original program and you didnt even follow that properly you shortcutted things to your ultimate detriment.

Moma2 was congenial and helpfull and friendly....which is the right thing to do....TMac has been given free reign with no full in-depth NHS- IDA or IDM analysis or breakdowns of his Processes....I mean Moma2 helped the guy out man.....a LOT......and this is what happens???...nothing????
