Since 2010, Saverin has lived in Singapore. He reportedly owns a luxury penthouse suite in Singapore's tallest residential building. In September 2011, he renounced his U.S. Citizenship, later reportedly to avoid paying significantly more in US taxes after the Facebook IPO since Singapore has no capital gains taxes. He would still have to pay an "exit" tax to the US government.
His girlfriend is Wong Hui Ling, a 25 year old university graduate of the National University of Singapore.

It must be nice to be so rich that you can avoid taxes.....

I thought there were ways around capital gains taxes for the uber wealthy - loopholes and such.

I think he sees the writing on the wall, and Obama's rhetoric about hammering the rich with more and more and more taxes.

The highest corporate tax in the world. Any entrepreneur wanting to start a business isn't going to do it here. A similar example is the idiot in France that just got elected, Hollande, who wants to tax all millionaires at 75%.

You think they are going to stick around for that? Hell no. Many of them are going to leave France, just as this guy did.

I would imagine most of it went before he let on that he was renouncing his citizenship. Must have some brains, after all he did help co found the world largest snooping database for all LEO and intelligence agencies on the planet and beyond.
