On a positive note, a lot of those technical support jobs will be coming back to the US within the next 3-5 years.

And How the hell does that solve the problems,Americans are facing NOW ?

Good. I gave you a star!

See I am a very reasonable person.

We all are, its just such a tough topic to discuss.. People arent always going to see eye to eye on things... At times I may be a little harsh, but I do care about everyone who is struggling to make ends meet out there... I just dont know how we (the country) can fix the issues out there today. Like I stated earlier, its a multitude of things, one of the biggest areas I constantly harp on is the defense budget, if we scaled it back from the $700+ billion a year we spend, we probably could fix a lot of the issues we see here state side...

I appreciate the star!
I got you back...

Can we be friends now? haha

After seeing the neo-nazis get 8% of the greek vote I cannot help but think how correct some people are in saying the republicans are not conservative enough. Is it country, family and religion?

Allowing mexicans to cross the border is not conservative. Neither is gay marriage!

I am a progressive(for mixed economy socialism) and although I disagree with many conservative issues, I also agree with a few such as nationalism. One must take pride in country and its citizens!

Guess what? You are considered Employed, and are not counted as Unemployed, even though you work 2 days a week.

Sometime next month, the Government will say Unemployment dropped.

Yes exactly why unemployment dropped

If the real numbers could be seen it would make everyone sick....

Oh yeah, there are jobs out there all right. Jobs that pay minimum wage. Jobs that people cant live on. I tell you what, here is an experiment you can do, try to live on minimum wage for a month. Try to pay your utilities, car insurance, gas, food and healthcare and whatever healthcare your kids need on a minimum wage paycheck. Then get back to me. Oh, and that is assuming you can even GET a minimum wage job, most of them are being taken by illegal immigrants now. Go into any McDonalds and you will see what I am talking about.
Actually I have worked minimum wage. I call it living to your means. People aren’t willing to make the sacrifices to survive. They still want this, that, and everything else. They still want their cake, AND eat it too! Why do you find it so hard to work minimum wage. Sounds like you have an ego you’re not willing to give up! Once the stock market eventually goes bust and everyone loses everything they have, I’m going to love sitting on the side lines watching people like you freak out because the kids can’t get their preferred breakfast of fruit loops in the morning. There is a difference in WANTING something, and there is a difference in NEEDING something! I have 2 children I love very much! It doesn’t matter to me how big my house is, the car I drive, shoes I ware, people I know, etc... Some people have no problem seeking minimum wage jobs even though they have bachelors and masters degree in some field of study. The problem is even the mwj are being taken over by south americans while good jobs are being shipped overseas.

Honestly I don't see why people have such a hard time seeing the obvious. It has been going on for 3 decades now, and while many people were initially against globalisation most of the outcry was too short spanned to be effective.

Maybe you should watch some alex jones videos?

These threads always amaze and disappoint me.

The general consensus seems to be "go get a minimum wage job and suck it up". Unbelievable.

If, after watching hundreds of thousands of jobs shipped overseas and seeing corporate profits and CEO compensation rise to new heights (while the middle class vanishes), your only reply to people's unemployment is a minimum wage job, the country is in serious, serious trouble.

They want you to believe that everybody is lazy. They want you to think that the unemployment benefit system has a high percentage of fraud. That way, you turn on each other and never hold those truly responsible for this economy to account. And they laugh all the way to the bank.

What a mess.

A few years ago many in the USA began to hate outsourcing as matter of national pride. Companies heard them and stopped outsourcing. They then failed because they could not compete and American jobs were lost. They made America weak. Don't blame your joblessness on some guy in India doing customer support, blame the complainers and the nationalists. That American company exists because it is competittive with others and that guy in India keeps costs down.

Did you even read what I posted.?Again, I will ask, how CAN you survive on minimum wage and (and I mean BASIC, not extravagant) pay a mortgage, drive a car, insure it, put gas in it, buy groceries, pay basic utilities, and provide health insurance. Answer, you CANT. These things aren't frivolous, they are basic needs. You might submit the same logic to the ownership class of this country, why is it SO necessary that they live better than the rest of us, even if it means tossing any worker out in the street who you are forced to pay a decent wage to"? It sounds like you are just saying to be a good slave and shut up. I am sick of people who are telling us that we have to live like a 3rd world country now because the robber barons say so.

Why should anyone other than the stockholders give a damm about that? You are assuming most people care about profits, dividents, splits.....when they care about keeping jobs home and making good wages. Do you see the inherent conflict of interest between employer and employee?

It is the reason unions existed. It is the reason government exists, among others! The reason for tariffs is to protect the local and national economy from foreign firms from excessive interference and to discourage local companies from going overseas.

Then tariffs suspiciously became a dirty word, just like socialism and communism. No one is really against globalisation, but it needs to balance the interest of many interested parties. Socialism became dirty under the guise of "big government" and that the government is incompetant when it comes to running an economy. I don't want a bigger government, that is for sure, but I do want to be represented when I pay taxes(have a meaningful voice).

There should be a public sector imo. There should also be a private sector. Economic reform cannot equate to privisation of everything. In europe barely anything is public anymore, and in america what little was public came reagan to privatise the rest. The central banks are leading the charge of corruption and Ron Paul is 100% accurate in wanting to reform or even disban it. People are picking up on what he is saying even if they are not libertarians or conservatives. I for one think he is a much better candidate than either Obama or Romney!

I thought it funny how many of the elite have no problem doing business with China, what with their trade policies and all. As soon as there was profit to be made, Commie China was not so Commie after all.

No-one denies that it is the policies of the US Government that effect how well our economy does.
Likewise, the Communist Government of China also has an effect on their economy as well.

I refuse to do business with Commie Walmart because I don't want to support communism.
As soon as there is a profit to be made, a countries form of government and economic system becomes less important.

The same goes with many other countries the elite do business with, dictatorships and all.
I'm sure if we had massive trade with Iran, the nuke capabilities and all that jazz would not matter one iota.

China is a single-party republic ruled by the Communist Party.

So, yes, they are Communist.

If they are communist then why is everyone who can afford dumping their home turf advantage to do business in china? in vietnam?

China USED TO BE communist. Now they are communist ONLY IN NAME cause the same people switched ideology and still control things IN A MUCH FREER ECONOMY! Free economy denotes capitalism........

Clearly you don't pay attention enough to current events!

I managed to get our unemployment rate down to 5 percent here in my city. I read the papers today and it is now 5 percent. All I had to do was make it rain for two years almost every day until so many people moved away that the unemployment rate went down to 5 percent.

So whats your solution there? You can't compete with Asia for jobs so whats your plan?

Oh, a union man. Unions were great for union guys. Too bad they killed our economy. I would be pro union if the whole world could be members. The reason big biz hates unions is because it causes them to fail, not because they want to stick it to the working man. We should give a damm if American companies can compete or not. We want to be strong. We are all in this together. Ron Paul won't talk about unions because he would hate to lose that vote. Ron Paul is against bargaining rights. I am with him on that. I would embrace socialism, but not in a capitalist economy.

Unions did not kill the economy! Over time most unions have been substantially weakend anyway.........

What killed the american economy is lack of tariffs, plain and simple! The globalists are using america and israel to create this one world disorder that strongely favors elitism for a few and absolute poverty for the rest. Then come the digital currencies and *666* mark of the beast to conduct business. All backed by masonry of course and people knee-jerk reaction to zionism.

I am not a Ron Paul fanatic by any stretch of the imagination, but here is the deal. He is a libertarian in principle which means he is conservative with regards to the economy and somewhat liberal in social issues. He also likes pragmaticism and is willing to take any measure necessary to fix the economy. Pro or anti unions is almost irrellevant at this point.

Of course I would urge people to vote SPUSA for real change, but I am pragmatist enough to know people are instantly revolted with socialism and communism. Give it another 12 years and many could change but the world as we know it today may cease to exist. The propaganda against socialism/communism has been unbelievably effective thanks to hitler and stalin. People don't research history enough and believe the mainstream lies.....

The plan the fascists have been working on these last 30 years is bringing everyone day to the level of the rest of the world. This has been going on from "both sides" of the house via Foreign and Domestic Trade policies. Cheap Labor from China, and Cheap labor from Mexico.

To make sure they attract cheap labor and they stay here, they also subsidize the cheap labor with welfare programs that I would not be eligible for were I in the same position.

This helps benefit the elites by rigging the supply / demand ratio to their favor.
In a time when wages are falling for the majority of American's, compensation continues to climb for those at the top of the ladder. It is the policies of the US Government and those who are in bed with them that dictate these policies.

Currently, heads of US Corporations and Financial Institutions make a large multiple of what other heads are payed overseas in other countries. Those that support Globalism should have no problem opening up the borders to foreign CEO's and heads of other companies to come here and compete for the jobs here. If someone else can do it cheaper, than they are being overpayed.

Since these parasites control our government, and sit in each others board rooms, they will keep the borders and trade policies open for more profits for them, and yet keep the door closed from others that may take their jobs.

This is what people who are struggling are tired of.

The unemployment rate was around 5% before this Great Depression were in.
That means there were a helluva lot of people working and not "lazy" before the fascist policies of our government took its toll.

So, unemployment jumps over 10% and people just all of a sudden decided to get lazy?
I'm not buying it.

Nevertheless, I'll support my fellow American's that are down and out with my taxes, before I will support the leeches and parasites sucking up my tax dollars, which would be the Financial and Corporate Industry embedded in my Government.

If all these Fascists Corporations and Financial Institutions left the country along with the policies they have dictated, and got out of my government, it would be a win win situation. There would be a void left behind for small business start-ups to take advantage of.

Where will they go though? China? Nope, a bullet in the brain would be in their future there for the crimes they have committed here.

It's a start, and some are already coming back today... You always need to start somewhere... The IT jobs being lost to India is a small fraction of the manufacturing jobs being lost to China... Breaking away from China is going to be the biggest hurdle/obstacle moving forward...

Yeah! That'll teach the unemployed! Now let's see them fight for jobs. Oh wait, they've been doing that? I guess the government better serve the people. What's that? Republicans cut that deal off too?

Well fellow Americans, looks like you're sh*t out of luck because apparently helping you is a waste of money.
