In my house we used to have a ghost that would appear as a flash of light which would come out of my bathroom
across my landing and down my stairs. My wife and i would often say to each other "did you see it again?" Friends also saw it and my young son used to see a "lady" on the landing when he was in bed (his bedroom was next to the bathroom)
One day it suddenley it stopped. Now about 10 years on the hot tap in my bathroom now randomly turns itself on. Do you think my ghost is back or is it a job for the plumber?

Tell your ghost to stop wasting your hot water, and then get a new tap set.

Don't get a plumber, they cost a fortune.
Google how to do the job if the new taps don't come with instructions

OR you can give the Ghost Hunters guys a call. They are plumbers so they will fix up your faucet AND solve your ghost problem. See how easy that is

I second this post.
You would be killing two birds with one stone. Brilliant!

When it turns on, is it on all the way or just leaking?
I don't think faulty plumbing can turn the knob completely.
It would probably cause a leak at most.

Not sure, but the ones that turn themselves on, are usually the old type that have the type of handles that look like an X or a plus sign

I always scold the haunters, and tell them to "stop that". I've also had my share of weirdness

Maybe the ghost just wants you to upgrade the house, they're stuck living there too......

you can eliminate the tap issue by getting a re-seating kit from a local hardware store. if that doesn't cure the issue, you could always use a padlock and chain!

best wishes for a dry evening, fakedirt.

In that case, you probably need the Ghost Hunters.

Taps that new, shouldn't be turning on. A drip or two, at most.

I don't know why those old taps turn on either, except that old taps might have a connection with a previous owner
And for some reason, old taps turn.....

Maybe she (the ghost lady) is trying to get your attention? Maybe she's lonely....
