Here is a link and a news story for you bare thread:

Mexico volcano ash forces shutdown of airport (+video)

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO
An ash cloud from a Mexican volcano on Thursday forced the suspension of flights to and from the international airport of Puebla, a major city southeast of Mexico City.

Video is news story from last month.

More info on this particular volcano:

Country: México
Subregion Name: México
Volcano Number: 1401-09=
Volcano Type: Stratovolcanoes
Volcano Status: Historical
Last Known Eruption: 2011 (in or after)
Summit Elevation: 5426 m 17,802 feet
Latitude: 19.023°N 19°1'24"N
Longitude: 98.622°W 98°37'20"W

Three major plinian eruptions, the most recent of which took place about 800 AD, have occurred from Popocatépetl since the mid Holocene, accompanied by pyroclastic flows and voluminous lahars that swept basins below the volcano. Frequent historical eruptions, first recorded in Aztec codices, have occurred since precolumbian time.

Hey! I was just reading that on the huffington site, HERE?

Looks like Popo is waking up and causing a few headaches for the air travel in the area.

Not at all, just with something like this one would expect a bit more detail and perhaps even a tiny bit of googling to produce related stories.

Took me all of a minute and a half to provide what I did.

Though I can understand wanting to make a quick post. I've had threads closed because someone else beat me to the punch while I spent more time adding details and related information.

No biggie.

Here is a recent thread about the same volcano:

Popocatepetl Volcano Nightmare: 19 Million Prepare to Evacuate in Mexico?

There have been a few other older threads as well, so it seems as though this volcano is not new to garnering attention.
