Those doctors or so called doctors aren't the end all be all when it comes to anything.
Yet you try to claim that being a nurse or emt gives you credibility. First off, no one goes to an emt for breastfeeding advice. And being a nurse,
unless your specifically a lactation consultant, doesn't give you any credibility either. Yet the people who do study this, aren't the be all,as you
say, because they don't agree with your EMT experienced opinion.
You do not get any benefits from it except a catered to spoiled little itch.
Oh so now your a behavioral specialist to such an advanced degree that you have studied hundreds of extended breastfeeding children and came up with
the appropriate terminology.
There is a lot of benefit to breastfeeding, even until the ages of 3 and 4. Breastmilk is the most nutritious food for a child. It reduces obesity.
Children who are bf beyond the age of two have much lower incidents of illness, and if they are sick, for much shorter durations. They have fewer
allergies. And the longer children are breastfeed, their higher their IQ.
The old school mantra of depriving children died a long time ago, you need to catch up. Studies have shown that supporting dependancy needs of
children, fosters security and independance.
Because someone never taught them the word no.
That has absolutely nothing to do with the debate. And you certainly don't know how this mother, or any mother, raises their child, and what their
methods are. But I guess your crystal ball tells you how well every parent is doing all around the world.
I don't trust doctors anyway. I had the best peditricians in the world and they never promoted this.
You managed to contradict yourself in a single statement. You dont trust doctors, but suddenly, what your pediatrician has to say is viable because it
supports your biased, knee jerk reaction. Did you even breastfeed or have the discussion with them? Would it even matter because you don't trust
them? Doctors rarely promote anything other then vaccinations and fluoride treatments.
But there are less and less good doctors now, sadly.
YOu don't trust them so how do you know if they are good or not? Do you have any scientific data to back this up or are you also pulling this out of
your ass? I guess all those doctors who are now coming out with advanced, life saving medicine should just hang it up sonce there are no good doctors,
apparently.
I mean just as other people have mentioned do you see Native American continuing breastfeeding that long?
Do you live on a
reservation?
In the rest of the world, not just Native Americans, the average age to wean is 3-4. WHO recommends 2 years minimum. The AAP recommends as long as the
child needs it.

Do you think they did that in the stone age when the little guy was actually expected to be a little more self sufficient because of survival
issues back then?
This is the dumbest statement I have heard yet. You have tried to use selfishness, dumb doctors, native americans to support your statement as a basis
for your your arguement. Know one knows how long they breastfed, as their are not "stone age" mothers around. But it is very possible that the
answer is yes, as the longer a child nurses, there is an increase in nutrients, fat, and energy in the breastmilk.
You are the most uneducated "nurse" I have come across.
This is what is the down fall of humanity.
Feeding children is the downfall of humanity? More likely not feeding children will be the downfall of humanity. WHO reports that if the percentage
of mothers breastfeeding went up, it will immediately reduce child mortality by 10%.
Yes, showing care to our children is the downfall of humanity.
Kittens only get 6 weeks ok given they have a shorter life span but in relation to their lifetime 10-16 years that is a very small percentage
of that lifetime.
Kittens will acutally nurse 15 weeks or more if they weren't whipped away by human owners. Are you actually comparing humans to felines?
Then they are expected to be fully self reliant...
They are solitary animals while humans are pack animals. Your embarassing me with your ignorance. And I won't even touch the extreme ignorance that
children who are breastfed end up gay. By your responce here, I will summarize that a lack of breastfeeding leads to stupidity and bigotry.
