Not really much to say here apart from this....

www.bbc.co.uk...

The Olympic Flame was lit in Greece today before making it's journey to the UK and ultimately London, to start the 2012 Olympic games...............

BUT

After it was lit, it got extinguised and blown out by the wind............ oops !!

An Omen or just bad luck or maybe both..........?

An Open question to end with.............

''What do people here forecast will happen at these Olympic Games, in such an expected dubious 2012?"

Sorry to laugh, but the extinguishing of the flame seems so appropriate.

hahaha - this is right up there with the Olympic countdown clock in London getting mysteriously stopped TWICE and the David Cameron "I can't turn on the lights" debacle at the stadium a few months back.

I guess it happens quit often
enough to have a crew stand by
with extra torches & fuel..

i think i remember it going out
once & some 1 relighting it with a bic...?

The Olympic flame, in all of its purity and wholesome glory, is worth nothing if it is not in its virgin state. In 1976, the flame went out at the beginning of the Montreal relay, and when it was relit with an official’s Bic lighter, the entire urn was doused (along with the official’s reputation) and relit using one of the numerous back-up torches.
14 things you didn’t know about the Olympic torch

I hope the games go off without a hitch
and we see some new world records being made

oh & make sure to check out the medal stand.
its gonna be different a little edgier
