I think some of you know where this line is from. Here is another quote from this film:

Colonel Trautman: Yeah, well, there won't be a victory. Every day, your war machines lose ground to a bunch of poorly-armed, poorly-equipped freedom fighters. The fact is that you underestimated your competition. If you'd studied your history, you'd know that these people have never given up to anyone. They'd rather die than be slaves to an invading army. You can't defeat a people like that.

The film is Rambo III.

They do not show it as much on TV these days for which I can only assume is political reasons because it actually does tell the truth about how we armed the afghani people and now they are using those same weapons against us. The irony on the above quote is quite stunning. I can assume that the reason it is shown in limited fashion on TV is due to the politics surrounding the nature of the movie. We can't have people knowing the truth now. Has anyone else noticed this too?
