People are probably flagging it because it's such a horrible site.

I doubt it's anything more than that.

That happens when your site gets hacked and someone injects code or uses your site to try to infect other people / do something malicious .. Surprised they got tagged, they must not be keeping up on maintaining the software they run on the site.. ( most likely )

It could even be an SQL injection that populated their database with some _javascript.. I've seen plenty of it.. it used to be part of my job to identify exploits ..

Google doesn't just automatically unflag you as malicious right away.. they expect the owners of the site to clean up the issue, make sure the hole was plugged so that it doesn't happen again and then they provide you a way to submit the site to them for re-testing.. once the site owner submits the site for testing again they typically remove the flag within a day... it's not google trying to scare people, it's google trying to protect people.

Pay attention tot he last paragraph.. they notified the beforeitsnews.com .. the ball is in their court, and they obviously don't seem to know how to take the next step.

Not that i visit this site, unless it is a link to a story here, but my laptop was attacked by some new virus about 3 or 4 weeks ago. It was not savable. The lady that worked on it said the same day mine was attacked another customer of hers had the same issue and the same negative outcome. There are new viruses everyday, and if they are new they are not recognized by your anti-virus software. Ok, anyone that says I'm wrong on this, I probably am. I am so far from computer software and hardware savvy, I don't even care to learn at this point.

But take this as a warning from your average user, you can get infected online even with anti-virus software.

I get the following message:

Warning: Something's Not Right Here! beforeitsnews.com contains malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site. Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else. We have already notified beforeitsnews.com that we found malware on the site. For more about the problems found on beforeitsnews.com, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page.

I am baffled why anyone would waste their time reading that site anyway...

Why would you say such as that and why would it be flag and censored in reality, and not inyour
imagination, as we all know your comment is false, so hope that is satire, as really it is what it is, so no need to make that clearer, other than bit does good job of listing stories you see here and in fact, see them there, before here....so what does that all suggest, other than you flag it, is possible, cause you don't like something being posted on it?

Not much, other than the obvious

Norton Web Safe is a bit slow to catch on sometimes ... but, it's reporting the site as okay now (8 May 2012)

Check this URL in a few days and see if Norton changes their mind or not. safeweb.norton.com...

What we should be considering is what reasons anyone would have for getting it block and whom it could be or would be, as doubt it is anyone who like free press and would be someone who does not like an article or two, too say the least, as hope we all can agree on that, it is that and not cause it has articles on it, that some do not care to read...

Lot of stories here are from there and it is a great source of news, so if anyone hacked it, tells you something there, as doubt it was anonymous or any of the other so called patriot hackers!

It seems to me that there is a campaign to silence websites with a political bias.

More Malware found on religious and ideological sites than on Porn sites.

Even porn sites are safer than the places we go for our news anymore.
