Not sure if you know this, but NBC is going to bring back the Munsters (a show not too different from The Addams Family, back in the 60's).

The new show is called Mockingbird Lane, and features Eddie Izzard as Grandpa (Vampire) and is helmed by Bryan Singer.

I read this in the TV Guide a couple of weeks ago.
I can't get enough of the Munsters! I own the Seasons and Movies.
Hopefully it's good, but it's going to be hard to compete with the original.
Thanks for the link, I've been looking for more information about it.

I slightly remember a remake years back...that one didn't go well.

Personally, I always liked The Munsters more than The Addam's Family.
I don't have high expectations for this new version though.

There aren't many stories remaining, that have not already been told.

Here's another that is supposedly coming soon: 'Dallas'.
I never watched that show anyways, but I think I read that some of the old cast would be returning on this new version.

That was one of my favorite shows, NO I didn't see it in the 60's!

Why do they have to f everything up and ruin it.

It was a classic.............It is not repeatable...

Shame

Loved it as a kid, would still watch it now when I see it on.
I really want to see some stills of it.

They tried to remake it the 90's and it was a total disaster. Fred Gwynne was absolutely brilliant as Herman & it was him that made the show for me.
It's up there as one of my favourite TV shows of all time, hilarious.
