When was the last time you really looked at your phone bill? If you cant remember, you should probably start paying attention to what they're charging you for.

Bogus Phone Bill Cramming Charges

According to the FTC's motion, from 2006 through 2010, BSG illegally billed consumers for nine crammed "enhanced services," including three voicemail services, one streaming video service, two identity theft protection services, two directory assistance services, and one job skills training service. In one example cited in the FTC's motion, a BSG subsidiary charged consumers for voicemail services without their consent, as demonstrated by "voluminous consumer complaints, astronomical refund rates," and the fact that almost none of the consumers who were billed ever used the services. In 2007, as noted in the motion, Verizon notified BSG that it was terminating the ability of one of the voicemail services to bill Verizon customers, stating, "as they have not and will not bring cramming complaint level" down. Yet BSG continued billing consumers for the voicemail services through other local telephone service providers and subsequently billed other services for the voicemail services' principals.

Where the hell is goverment oversight?
This crap is not drawing the criminal fraud complaaints against the perpss....!
The company will pay restitution maybe, but i bet the people who worked to make this happen never see a day in jail....yet millions are stolen from the people!
Its time to take the corporations down a peg!
Nobody should be above the law like this.......when the companies that provide the services start ripping the people off its time to start the criminal investigations of corporate activities over the past decade.
or at least up to the end of the criminal liability period.....
There has got to be a reconing sooner or later, and if its later im not sure the world will survive the explosive backlash of the people.
What is happening is driving the masses to a frenzy of frustration....

Oh you must think that the government and corporations are not one and the same.

One minute people complain that government regulation hurts the people. The next minute people are complaining about not having enough regulation because the corporations are taking advantage of them.

Guess what, that's how capitalism works! Profit is the goal, and people are the source.

People need to either be for or against regulation this whole what ever is convenient at the moment thing is just ridiculous.

Government can't and won't regulate anything. Free market should regulate corporations, government can only give corporations cover and get paid by corporate lobbyists while they rob people.
