I expected to be angry because I knew none of them would show up to vote, but I honestly had no idea that they voted for absent members, and so blatantly! This is really outrageous, and I thought I was all out of outrage. Thanks for posting!

I think they should have to SUBMIT WRITTEN PERMISSION BEFORE the voting starts if they are going to vote for someone else. The key is before, otherwise they can get one from the other person, 3 days later like you know they would.

On a side note, how many times have we heard another running rep used someone's voting record against them during a debt? I think its safe to say, we SHOULD NEVER hear that arguement again. I honestly can not believe how much our government officials act like little children on so many situations.

Its time for the 99%ers to take office. If you really want a change, vote for the 99%ers when they run. Don't judge them by little mistakes they made 25 years ago (every 99%er has mistakes because WE do not have the money to make our record disappear). Judge them on who they are today and who they have been for the past 15 years. Listen to his/her plans for the future, chances are they will be his/her words instead of a team of writers who prepared his/her speech. Understand that the color of his tie does irrelevant.

Don't you love how the law states if a voter votes more than once the penalty is up to the house leader? Meanwhile, the house leadership says "they like to leave it up to the house." This is precisely how bills and legislation are passed that go against public interest.
