Why does my cat eat plastic?

usually when my cat eats plastic he or she goes to the bathroom. it's where i will give them a kind of time out. that and i will eat chili at or around that time. to the cats i say "call 1-800 STEAMER jackbutt ssakcaj"

I believe that it is the chemical composition of some plastics that cats are attracted to,cats are drawn towards petrol,they love the smell,the hydrocarbons in some plastics remind them of the pleasurable odours that they derive from petrol,at least that seems to be the case with our cats,who will sit underneath cars for hours at a time and chew on black plastic bags when they can get their paws on them!

I have no idea to be honest. My cat licks plastic too so I guess it is common. Whenever we come home from the store she will come right over and start licking the bags we set down. It's strange.

I hope you can figure out what's going on.
