Cat madness.

Ads asking for cat donations started circulating in Chihuahua newspapers Monday and officials hope some 200 will be ready to travel to Atascaderos this weekend. Chihuahua state officials say they hope to collect an army of 700 felines for a frontal attack on Atascaderos, an isolated farm village in the rugged Tarahumara mountains, a region where officials estimate the rat population at half a million.

They should figure out why there is a plague of rats for example if the rats eat the rubbish then improve the way they deal with rubbish in Chihuahua state.
Havnt they heard of rat poisoning ?
Im no environmentalist but why wasnt more thought given to the problem before this doom to fail plan was put in action.

I agree with the concern for the cats' ultimate fate. If they're not fixed, it's going to be a recruitment in a few years for something to kill the cats. Or else they'll have a big hunt. Problem is, once the vermin get a foothold it takes drastic measures to be rid of them.

I agree, soon we will read about an army of dogs been sent in to battle the rat free, but cat infested village...
