This thread is mighty interesting but some people are none the wiser about certain aspects of history and everything their state funded schools text books said, they believe.

Since the Hitler spectacle the only major country in the world that has surpassed the Nazi bubble is America. They are sooo much worse than Hitlers regime.

I prefer people who are upfront....Hilter said he would exterminate all jews. So he set about doing it. Upfront and honest.

The American government says they protect the people yet SHOOT them in the back at every opportunity and then lie about it after, all the while stealing the pocket watch off your corpse in front of your family with a big smile on their faces.

America has done far far MORE harm than the Nazis EVER did.

The Nazsi went after jews. Ok not the best way to do things, but I am not a jew so I have NEVER cared at all. Why? it doesn't effect me and I have no like for any religion especially Jews and Muslims.

There have been far greater atrocities in history than they jew episode. Yet we do not hear these other people milking the world for all its worth, even going so far as to have BS words like antisemitic made up for them.

I think until people start learning that we are insignificant in the universe and get over ourselves we will ALWAYS be victims in one way or another.

Personally I don't think democracy has failed. The currency maybe, but not democracy. People still turn out in the millions to vote.

Well said.

The gas chamber thing is a lie.

No it is not.

There is zero proof sorry. I'm not emotionally attached to this event, but merely a historian

How lovely for you. I actually have a degree in History and I've looked into it in some detail, so I can officially tell you that you are about as wrong as it's possible to get.

So far you've given no facts whatsoever. There are lots of places such as dachau where inmates said there were gassings now even mainstream historians don't agree that this took place. There were swimming pools and a theatre at auchwitz but history doesnt tell you about that cause its supposed to bea death camp. No one denies that there were camps. Japs inthe us were also in camps and I'm sure they would have been found in similar conditions if the us had lost the war.

They are scum!!!

REAL GREEK PATRIOTS died fighting scum like this in WW2.Go read your history....
In there manifesto they state clearly that they want to round up all ILLEGAL & LEGAL immigrants and put them in concentration camps.
By doing this you will completely destroy your tourist trade of which greece is completly reliant on. If they come to power 100,000s will die and your economy willl be 10 times worse than it is now, you cant feed a nation on the pooceeds of selling Olive oil & soap and cheap wine.

Think for yourself, dont let these brain dead morons do it for you.

Steady on princess, I think if they worked together they could achieve a lot more than Olive oil & soap and cheap wine and putting up with tourists than you give them credit for

Lack of votes wasn't my point. The point was that the people really don't understand the whole picture, and the politicians don't tell it to them. The politicians want to secure their votes and tell the people what they want to hear. The Eurozone created a system where you could get cheap and "secure" loans very easily, so parties naturally go further and further as they can easily get funding without much worry. Now it's going the other way. The eurozone binds the members to the currency, they don't have the advantages that their own currency would bring at this point. But then again, Greece never would have got to this point if it had had its own currency, as the interest of their loans would have gone up way before.

Fascinating. This explains everything's that wrong about the USA at the moment. Words genuinely fail me. "Not the best way to do thing"??? It was mass freaking murder on an industrial scale for Christ's sake! Millions were stripped of their property, their identity as Germans, or Poles or Russians and were then staved to death or stuffed into gas chambers. I find your comment to be horrifying.

By purity I obviously mean a nation of Greeks, by Greeks, and for Greeks. All people have a right to a homeland, which is itself clean from what they may define as undesirables. That does not bother me in the least, nor should it anyone else. I dare not be hypocritical about my political choices, what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Plus, I find it absolutely hilarious you call me “Darwin” when I am a Reactionary Roman Catholic.

No I wasn't calling you Darwin, I was thanking the now dead Darwin,

Unfortunatly it cant, Its a semi arid region with large tracts of mountainous terrain. its farming sector is reliant on olive and grape production. It has few natural resources and a scarcity of water.Fishing was a major sustainance for its southern regions and islands, but since the collapse of fish stocks in the med this is no longer the case.
Yes it was at one time a the cradle of european civilization but even at the height of the great civilizations of antiquity the population was less than 1 million. It now has 12 million inhabitants.
Tourism accounts for 16% of Greek GDP and 70% of GDP in some of its peripheral regions.

This is not a Holocaust-related thread. I'd be more than happy to utterly demolish your entire pitiful argument in one of the other threads. Bring a mop and a bucket, it'll be one-sided and very bloody. For you that is.

It expresses sympathy with the totalitarian regime of Ioannis Metaxas. It is also commonly described as neo-Nazi[2] and fascist[3] although the group rejects these labels.

Wiki

They seem to deny neo-nazi and fascist labels. I would like to see some actual program or a manifesto before I form a coherent opinion and commence the screaming of "Nazis!". After all, todays extreme right seem to include anything from deportations to gassing the undesirables. Worlds of difference.

I'm 110% sure that there's NO coincidence about the timing between THIS and the register of a lobbyist for the American Nazi party in US Congress. As well as the timing between the fall of Sarkozy, the ascension of a Socialist to the French gov't and Putin's return to the Russian presidency, also is NO coincidence. It looks like the shadow gov't wants to resuscitate the Nazi-Socialism back from hell.

First of all why i don't hear anyone screaming against the radical left party(SIRIZA) that came second in votes? Why is it OK to have a radical left and not a radical right party?

And historically the communists around the world have done equally and maybe bigger atrocities than the Nazis did.

Estimated number of victims In the introduction, editor Stéphane Courtois asserts that "...Communist regimes... turned mass crime into a full-blown system of government"[3]. He claims that a death toll totals 94 million[4], not counting the "excess deaths" (decrease of the population due to lower than-expected birth rates). The breakdown of the number of deaths given by Courtois is as follows:
65 million in the People's Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union[5][page needed]
2 million in Cambodia
2 million in North Korea
1.7 million in Africa
1.5 million in Afghanistan
1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe
1 million in Vietnam[6][page needed]
150,000 in Latin America
10,000 deaths
"resulting from actions of the international Communist movement and Communist parties not in power."[4] Courtois claims that Communist regimes are responsible for a greater number of deaths than any other political ideal or movement, including Nazism. The statistics of victims includes executions, famine, deaths resulting from deportations, physical confinement, or through forced labor.

Soviet repressions Repressions and famines occurring in the Soviet Union under the regime of Joseph Stalin described in the book include:
the executions of tens of thousands of hostages and prisoners, and the murder of hundreds of thousands of rebellious workers and peasants from 1918 to 1922 (See also: Red Terror)
the Russian famine of 1921, which caused the death of 5 million people
the extermination and deportation of the Don Cossacks in 1920
the murder of tens of thousands in concentration camps in the period between 1918 and 1930
the Great Purge which killed almost 690,000 people
the deportation of 2 million so-called "kulaks" from 1930 to 1932
the deaths of 4 million Ukrainians (Holodomor) and 2 million others during the famine of 1932 and 1933
the deportations of Poles, Ukrainians, Moldavians and people from the Baltic Republics from 1939 to 1941 and from 1944 to 1945
the deportation of the Volga Germans in 1941
the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1943
the deportation of the Chechens in 1944
the deportation of the Ingush in 1944.[7] (see also Population transfer in the Soviet Union)

en.wikipedia.org...

Don't get me wrong i don't try to excuse Nazis' crime, but communism has a share in atrocities and genocides.I don't understand why they are accepted by society and the radical rights, don't.I don't understand why we only discuss what Hitler did and not what the Soviet Union or China did.

Do any of you know that while the Greek soldiers were fighting the Nazis and the Italians in 1940,the Greek Communist party was calling them on strike, because at that time Hitler had an agreement with Stalin and since "mother Russia" wasn't fighting Nazis the Greeks shouldn't as well. This has been scraped out from history books, because was bad for the image of the communist party after the end of the war.

So if someone is kind enough to explain to me why it's ok to have communists in the parliament and not nationalists,i'll be grateful.

Dear god, this has so many facts wrong that I don't know where to even start. How about this - go away and read some books.

That was very well said `killthepoor`. If only the rest of America thought as you did, then this world wouldnt be so screwed up.
As for the greeks, voting in the nazis. Its a protest vote and they are not real nazis. Most of the real nazis, went to the USA (paperclip). We can now see how well those real nazis, have continued thier work. I often laugh to myself when I hear Americans slagging off the nazi`s. More so, when I think of presscot bush and the rest of the gang. Did gw have a picture of his grand dad, in his nazi uniform. On the white house wall, when he was in office? Ford making tanks ect for hitler. The banksters who financed him, while the USA and the rest of the world was in a depression.
The greek nazis, are the least of our problem. How about a nobel peace prize winner, starting wars and murdering fellow americans arround the world. Obama is no different from any of the others who were in office. I dont know if JFK, was a one off. I hope not.
