So I get some who say Romney is a liberal and others who say he is a warmonger

Reread the explanation that was given to you and then reread it again until the definitions sink in.. You have refused to listen to someone explaining the definitions of both parties and continue to spew nonsense as your understanding of conservatism. Smart legislation has nothing to do with being a conservative or liberal. The only conservative candidate in the presidential race is Paul. All the rest are progressives wearing conservative and liberal uniforms. And for the record Ron Paul would change the world. No longer would we be in a debt crisis. No longer would we be manipulated by the few at the top of the financial system. No longer would the troops overseas have to continue to fight an unjust war that's doing nobody any good. No longer would the child or their parents in the middle east have to fear American planes and bombs or the random gunfire that litters the streets. No longer would we be so highly regulated and taxed. No longer would we go to war without a declaration by congress. No longer would the united nations decide what's best for the united states. I could go on and on..
And what do you call this whole paragraph? You are trying to change my mind by insisting RP will change the world even though nobody in congress listens to him now. That's being anti-establishment, not conservative. He has one maybe two conservative points. All the rest of his policies are liberal! Plain and simple.edit on 6-5-2012 by jjf3rd77 because: (no reason given)
Sure, but he can do a lot more can't he? With his millions and his financial backers. Ron Paul has em ya know! Peter Theil runs RP super-pac. But somehow this slides away from RP cult.

The only candidate who has any chance of changing that would be RP.
What do you think Ron Paul has been doing in Congress for 30 years???? That's considered a long career to anybody! Even if he voted for his principles, he's still in congress. Romney is not a career politician he is a businessman! Oh another fun fact, Ron Paul has been in congress for most of Obama's entire life!
He's not a career politician like Romney or Obama.
I wonder if anybody has actually read the bullet points I made about Romney's plans. Its just paul fanboys for the past few pages... I think four people have read the complete thing...

Mitt Romney believes that it is unacceptable for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon.
Believes in a strong military offensive as well as defensive.
So you want to go to war with Iran? I should just stop reading right there. That's enough for me. but ill go on.
Mitt Romney wants to amend the clean air act and any other crazy environmental polices that Obama has enacted in his three years.
Because having clean air is crazy?!? Do you want another gulf oil spill? Destroying the environment isn't going to do anything. I don't want to have to explain to my grandchildren why there's no wildlife at all because of people like you.
Mitt Romney would like to modernized medicare and social security so that they are sustainable for our generation.
How? Political dummie speech right there. Just a vague statement that can't be backed up by any real comment.
Mitt Romney believes whole heatedly in legal immigration, as his family were immigrants. As were all of ours. He knows the system for immigration is broken and he wants to streamline it and take away unnecessary regulations that makes it harder for immigrants to come here. He will secure the border and take away all entitlements which entice immigrants to come here illegally.
I agree with this. But where's the details. Another political campaign promise with no way to back it up.
Mitt Romney understands that any economic turnaround starts with realistic and attainable goals. Which is why he has proposed his plan which cuts federal spending below 20% for the first year. He will cut $500 Billion by 2016. He will also make congress cut 5% of their budget across the board on day one!
I don't think those are realistic nor attainable. Not according to his plans. He wants to attack Iran. That's going to cost ALOT. He also wants to cut taxes. Going to war, and cutting the programs listed below won't help our country one bit.
I agree with the principle of cutting our expenses. But it needs to come from military spending. We spend a gross, sick, amount on the military. We need to cut money from there, before cutting money that go to average citizens.
Other plans that affect the economy will be to:
repeal ObamaCare saving $95 Billion as well as individual liberty
He wants to privatize Amtrak which will save us 1.6 Billion
He wants to cut $600 Million in federal subsidies to corporations like PBS and Legal Services Corporation
He wants to eliminate Planned Parenthood which will save us $300 Million
He wants to reduce foreign aid by $100 Million and ask congress why they are sending money to enemies of America. He will eliminate that as well.
For personal income Mitt Romney would like to make 20% tax cuts across the board
Eliminate taxes for those making $200,000 or LESSSocialism!!! not to mention, extremely unrealistic.
For Corporations he would like to make a 25% tax cut across the board.
you do realize he'd be cutting so much revenue from taxes, that the proposed spending cuts would never make up for it. Even though he would be cutting spending, he'd be decreasing taxes by so much that he'd increase our deficit even more.
For Health Care. In place of Obamacare, Mitt will pursue policies that give each state the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own citizens.
He'd probably give the states the power to forbid health care. They don't give a damn about any of us.

Not as ignorant and/or stupid as voting for Obamney.
But hey, people will be duped over and over and over in this country.
Well, this thread accomplished one thing for me. You are the first person I have come across who likes Romney. I know several people who now say they will probably vote for him just because they hate Obama, but they don't like him. They were all Gingrich supporters. I'm a Ron Paul guy myself.
