Mit Romney has what 52 billionaires who helped fund his campaign, that we know of... That means Mit Romney OWES those BILLIONAIRES and not the people, which means Mit Romney is just full of HOT AIR and will not help the people but will help those billionaires that helped him if he is elected...

How many billionaires helped Ron Paul's campaing?.... ZERO!!!

So What? Billionaires see Romney as a good investment and not Ron Paul Ron paul is a crook who steals money from average every day Americans and promises change that will never happen because he won't win. At least Romney has a very good chance at winning since the Billionaires who previously backed Obama are now going to Romney!

Oh and Billionaires and Multi Millionaires a like have sponsored Ron Paul too: Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek, Scott Banister, Stephen Oskoui, Jeffrey Harmon, James O’Neill, and Jonathan Cain

Insults you've made - Indirect, snide, and back-handed comments are the same as calling someone out:

"You really are delusional are you! you revert to the name calling and yet nothing in Romney's plans indicates that he is liberal. He has followed more closely with conservative and... libertarian ideas moreso than ron paul actually has. You know RomneyCare? Yeah, it would happen under RP libertarian plans too. What is his plan for fixing health care? Let the states handle it! And that's what Mass did.

You can't call someone a liberal just because they are less extreme when it comes to government constitution policies than you are... "
---
"But.... He's still in last place. Your arguments are typical rhetoric with little facts to back it up just more conspiracy brainwashing BS."
---
"Yeah and you are making up your own definitions... "
--
"...Besides hating the gays he takes a very religious stance on many other things. He is attempting to force his beliefs on the rest of America, exactly what he would do as president. "
--
And to the person saying Mormon's shouldn't run for President due to their religion. That's better than electing a muslim socialist and a crazy creationist who is anti-Semite and racist!
---
"Prove you wrong? I think you meant. We the People of ATS. And frankly some of Ron Paul's stances or your own stances about how a libertarian society would work sounds an awful lot like communism to me. So does saying, "we the people." as if implying that most Americans hate capitalism and corporations. Wake up call! Corporate America is what MADE America great. SO yes. I will vote for Corporate america. Since that is what the working/middle class is. Jeez some of you people honestly don't know what you are talking about"
--
"You are anti-establishment and anti-government. You can't have it both ways either. It was a political attack to make me look like a liberal I promise you I am not. Check my history, I just know that We need government policies to help protect us. Can you not read??"
--
name me someone who is not influenced by "special interests!"

really you people are delusional! and are now pulling at the same old straws.
--
SO I guess it's just a coincidence that after trying to debate with you guys on this forum, my computer gets infected with a virus and all that I've been doing was ATS... Keep your freaking bitcoins! I don't want or need them... Jeez you people really are selfish!
--
And finally

This whole hot mess you left in your thread -
"Doddering fool
Nut, nutcase, nutty
Lying liar
Crazy
Idiot
Old
Senile
Cranky
Not presidential
Rambles incoherently
Out of touch with reality
Suits are rumple
Extremist
Outside the mainstream
RINO
Racist
Made money from racist newsletter
Anti-Israel, anti-Semite, anti-Jew
Against education and children
Against people with AIDS
Against gays
Wants everyone addicted to drugs
Isolationist
Against national defense
Supports the terrorists
Blames America
Weak on foreign policy
Wants another Hitler
Wants Iran to nuke us
Conspiracy theorist
9/11 truther
Lacks compassion
Hypocrite – gets earmarks
Unelectable
Unfairly affects polls, surveys, voting
Buys off other campaign’s chairman
Not a leader
Never accomplished anything
Did not pass legislation
Supporters are:
Rude"
-----

So here's what I have to say to you, and I'm out:

See I read you like a book, I get it...But you want to vote for the crook, forget it.
Siding with the establishment, all for totalitarian government
You think this guy is heaven-sent
Dissin' Ron Paul for President

Rom's a puppet to the Powers that run the show
You see a Candidate, I see a mortal FOE

He's 10th cousin to Bush twice remove
He that claims the values of faith, tryin' to be smooth

On script he talks a good game, claiming accomplishment
But the paper he made was not legit, healthy companies torn up bit by bit
And you want this Corporatist as your President?

Can't you see he's truly two-faced talkin' to you?
He's angry when asked questions by people that weren't supposed to

Is it good when he said "Corporations are People, friend?"
Corporations rule the world, handlin' politics by string's end
Puppets in the government making the laws bend

Reporters get the brow and the quick retort back
Rhetoric nonsense spews like an insane homeless quack
His campaign has been caught frauding the people's choice

You're gonna back up this guy, that silences the People's voice?
Claims of voter fraud all over the place
Proof is coming out, precincts red in the face

Iowa did it, Nevada done
Election process hijacked, cheatin' guy are won.

State after state, the votes come from the people proper
turn out to be Diebold programmed to this freedom stopper

Guilty of treason, only one punishment fit.
Screw with America's Freedom, you'll "git what you git"

Admin Note Regarding Trolling

I'll make this unusually brief. The following thread explains what trolling is:

Trolling, And What To Do About It

Every member who calls another member a troll is trolling. Any more of it after this post will be considered deliberate disruption subsequent to a direct staff warning, which is not recommended.

Thanks to everyone who did not need to be reminded.

Why I Am Closing This Thread

In response to a series of
alerts and complaints, and several obvious problems as mentioned in my previous post, I have been reviewing this thread. In the process of doing so, I have concluded it should be closed.

Here's why. I know it's a long explanation and wouldn't resent anyone skipping over it, but I want to make sure my reasons are as clear as possible in the hope that other threads won't have to be closed for the same reasons.

It's a given that political discussions will tend to be passionate, partisan and polarized. They don't have to be, but it doesn't take much to end up there.

All ATSers are entitled to their own opinions and, provided they are expressed in accordance with the AboveTopSecret.com Terms And Conditions Of Use, welcome to share them in our forums. Unsurprisingly, we will see strong political opinions in the political forums. That goes with the turf.

As is all too often the case, the problem with this thread isn't one of political opinions. It's a problem with courtesy.

We've removed quite a few posts, may remove more, and God knows there are even more beyond that which really don't belong on ATS. Sometimes we'll close a thread if it just gets too out of hand to leave open, but wherever possible, we will do our best to defend a member's thread from trolling, harassment and disruption.

That is, unless the member who started the thread is also doing these things, in which case there's nothing to defend. Why should we respect the thread if even the OP doesn't?

The problems started on page one. Alas, the first reply was a pointless ad hom, so okay, I can cut the OP some slack for getting slammed out the gate, and the response was great. I can admire that.

Then, in the very next post from the OP, we come to this. Whatever the reason, when we start labeling what other members say as "ignorant and stupid", we forfeit the pretext of civility and only invite more of the same. And then the next post ("You people are seriously delusional if you think that!"), and then this ("Seriously? Are you a child?").

At that point, I'm already convinced the thread should be closed, but it just goes on and on, page after page of sniping, baiting and yes, trolling:

jjf3rd77's posts in this thread.

That does not excuse the bad behavior of any other member, nor is calling any ATSer a "troll" ever justified. I'm seeing plenty of trolling but not any trolls, just fellow members who should know better saying things they shouldn't.

We do our best to defend the ability of every member to share their opinions without fear of ridicule or abuse, but when those opinions are themselves laced with ridicule and abuse, they have no legitimate place on ATS.

I know it seems harsh, and I'm sorry it has come to this, but because it has been so thoroughly tainted by the member who started it, this thread simply cannot be defended, which is why it is now closed.
