The highly anticipated thread about why I am voting for Mitt Romney:

A few bullet points to get your minds going...

Mitt Romney believes that it is unacceptable for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon.
Believes in a strong military offensive as well as defensive.
Mitt Romney wants to amend the clean air act and any other crazy environmental polices that Obama has enacted in his three years.
Mitt Romney would like to modernized medicare and social security so that they are sustainable for our generation.
Mitt Romney believes whole heatedly in legal immigration, as his family were immigrants. As were all of ours. He knows the system for immigration is broken and he wants to streamline it and take away unnecessary regulations that makes it harder for immigrants to come here. He will secure the border and take away all entitlements which entice immigrants to come here illegally.
Mitt Romney understands that any economic turnaround starts with realistic and attainable goals. Which is why he has proposed his plan which cuts federal spending below 20% for the first year. He will cut $500 Billion by 2016. He will also make congress cut 5% of their budget across the board on day one!

Other plans that affect the economy will be to:
repeal ObamaCare saving $95 Billion as well as individual liberty
He wants to privatize Amtrak which will save us 1.6 Billion
He wants to cut $600 Million in federal subsidies to corporations like PBS and Legal Services Corporation
He wants to eliminate Planned Parenthood which will save us $300 Million
He wants to reduce foreign aid by $100 Million and ask congress why they are sending money to enemies of America. He will eliminate that as well.

For personal income Mitt Romney would like to make 20% tax cuts across the board
Eliminate taxes for those making $200,000 or LESS
For Corporations he would like to make a 25% tax cut across the board.

For Health Care. In place of Obamacare, Mitt will pursue policies that give each state the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own citizens.

Let me know if you want me to include something that I missed and I will surely go back and tell you what Romney wants to do. See, Mitt Romney does not look like Obama so much now does he? While he may not have "revolutionary" plans like Ron Paul, we can't honestly start to fix the problems without first doing something drastic but reasonable and realistic about them!

How?

He wants to privatize Amtrak and Social Security? Where have we heard this before?

It sounds like he's been ripping pages out of the Bush and McCain playbooks.

What you didn't mention is what he would do with all that money that he saves by cutting these programs. Does it go back into the pockets of R$ and his rich donors?

And I think we could say the same about anybody who likes Obama.
You can call names, marginalize the opposition and berate as much as you like.
People are tired of Obama and his policies. Ask around outside your choir.
You want Socialism? I hear Putin is back in office.
Take a trip. See the beautifal land of the Czars...Oh wait. That's us!

President who believes in an offensive military force. Won't accept Iran doing what the US has done in the past to get us to where we are today. Do the math on what is going to happen. Hint, it will be nothing like Afghanistan or Iraq. You thought the last decade was bad, this will be worse.

Could they plan to build a nuke? Sure. I think keeping Iran in check and from becoming a super power is the objective of the stop Iran campaign.

The US not being number one on this planet is just unacceptable to some people.

Won't America going into Iran have a serious effect on your economy. It's going to have to be a pretty big military adventure, that will cost many lives and lots of money.

Ok I ignored the hypothetical question about where the tax cuts go because that was just ignorant and stupid... Now, about Bush and McCain. Did you know the entire country was behind Bush right after the 9/11 attacks? That took priority over anything else. And indeed caused a lot of the problems the country is in today, McCain?? he didn't get elected so it doesn't matter. McCain was too trigger happy even for me.

At least he doesn't vote "present" at his board meetings.

That would be common sense sir. Something this country has been seriously lacking for awhile now.

Nobody said anything about going into Iran, and if we do assist Israel in stopping Iran, that's likely all its going to be a little skirmish between Israel and Iran until Iran realizes we could blow them up.

Ok how exactly do these points that I have outlined above make Romney look like Obama?? You people are seriously delusional if you think that! And I don't want this thread to get hijacked with RP crap either. Thanx. People asked me why I support Romney, this is why. So I would appreciate if you can keep the advertisements to yourself thanx

Kudos to you,for showing your support actually.

ATS has become the Ron Paul-Obama show anyways, and the kool-aid is flowing out both respective camps.

I wont vote for Romney though. He has HIS best interests at heart. Like ANY good businessman. Just remember that when you vote for him.

Peace

I agree with you on the first part of your post second part, I believe Mitt Romney believes in America and since he is American that is his best interest. So of course, he has his best interests at heart! Which is America!

Like those little skirmish's in Iraq and Afghanistan? Some people said World War One would be over by Christmas.
I think history has shown, there's no such thing as a little skirmish. Wouldn't you prefer a president who could negotiate a peaceful resolution to the crisis? Someone at least to try peace first before resorting to violence?
