Don't drink tea or milk so point is moot.

Stupidity, however, is still valid.

Foods are drugs. Large, complex systems of drugs that interact with the drugs and compounds of your own body (and of the food you mix them with).

Only 0.01% of food-food compound interactions are really studied for their effects on the body. Yet you will gladly mix two things together if they taste good.

But you don't know what the long-term effects are. Don't care. You presume that, since it's all food - it's all good. In spite of the fact that all of these compounds are "wild" - virtually unstudied by science for their effects on the body even though your body will interact with these compounds in digestion, blood transmission, and at various stages of cellular activity/metabolism.

These sensors go into your body and are specifically designed to not interact with anything, except for possibly participate in a few chemical reactions that are already very well studied and documented within the body. Why should you be so concerned about their long term health effects?

considering it's thinner than the width of a human hair. There likely isn't a way for troops to say no, what with the complete loss of rights the moment they sign. Think about it, you could put on your combat jacket and feel the most miniscule prick and now you have the microchip, or if you ever get a shot anything really at that size. Could be in your chow, inbeds intself in your pallet. God it's endless ha ha. scary stuff.

Basically you desire slavery because freedom is too much for you to handle. You aren't alone, many sheeple feel exactly the same way. I can handle my freedoms and control my impulses just fine thank you. No slavery for me.

Your statement is inaccurate. I myself can control my freedom and impulses just fine, its the other 50% of the world who cannot and this is why the human race is how it is.

If you give freedom to everyone to do what they want, the human race will destroy it self within years.

Well, when you joint the military, you are owned by the US gov until your term is over. If they want to implant you with a micro-chip, that is their right, as you pretty much don't have any other rights other than what uncle sam tells you.

No, this is not true. All one's Constitutional rights are still intact, but the extent to which they are exercised may be lawfully limited to a greater degree than is possible in civilian society. No one, civilian or servicemember, is "owned" by the government. Slavery was Constitutionally outlawed by the 13th Amendment.

In any case, the government can lawfully order a servicemember to receive a medical examination, and those typically occur once a year or so. You can either spend all day in the base hospital, waiting your turn to be groped, prodded, probed, and palpated by a creepy old man, or you can get some kind of sensor and upload the data for instant analysis. Personally, I think the sensors do a better job of protecting one's dignity, even if they may infringe a little more on privacy.

From a battle viewpoint, it would be a very smart move, especially if it has GPS. If you are captured or killed, you could be found and either recovered or freed.

No one is suggesting that these have any kind of long-range comms built in (or that it's even physically possible). And if they did, the enemy would just start killing prisoners.

Next will come those on Social Security (retirement and disability). They either take the chip for a bank account where their monthly funds are deposited... or loose those benefits. No way to say no.

I believe this is the future. Many will accept this. To do so is death. There are things worse than death, living as a drone would be for me, worse. Gandhi showed there is always a way to say no, you just have to be willing to die. The man/woman to fear, is the one with nothing to lose.

Georgia opens first jail devoted to U.S. veterans

The problem of US military veterans falling into a life of crime after returning from Iraq and Afghanistan has reached such levels that a law enforcer in Georgia has opened what is believed to be America’s first county jail devoted to veteran inmates.

John Darr, the sheriff of Muscogee County in Columbus, Georgia, has created the new facility in an attempt to break the cycle of recidivism by providing them with specialist services to help them deal with the problems they carry with them when they decamp.

From your link -

Homelessness is a common state of the military veteran with the Veteran Affairs department estimating that 67,000 veterans are homeless every night.

Sure seems like the money spent to microchip troops could be better spent
does it not?

I found it, and it appear legit since this is from a government Georgia web site. I would not post this for fear this is totally off-topic since in a way it is, but the Christians say these two things are tied together so I will link it www1.legis.ga.gov...

And if a mod thinks this post is too off-topic then I am certain they will simply delete. It is just strange that these chips are being said as mandatory implants for military, and your post on there being a camp now in Georgia for military detainees, which is the same state that has the option of death by guillotine according to Georgia legislature. All that together seems whacked.

GPS chips implanted in humans w/ sniper rifle

Apparently a Danish company called Empire North is working on ID Sniper, a sniper rifle that can implant a GPS chip in your body from up to 1.1 Km away.

www.navigadget.com...

So was that a hoax or a sign of things to come

LOL zorogn still confused about that ID Sniper Rifle...

If you would read his website you would see it was a sign of things to come.

Basically, the idea was to come up with the most terrible weapon imaginable, and to test it in a real environment. We had three days to finish up the weapon. Our fake company, Empire North, already had a logo and a slogan ("The Logical Solution" aping the Nazi classic "The Final Solution") but we had no weapon yet. Genius designer Von B and I worked overtime, and in two days we had the ID Sniper ready.

Then we charge people to sit in that chair for a few minutes under the Tesla Coil producing high EMP. It is harmless to humans for a short exposure, but will fry that chip

I suggest the employees wear MIB style suits with the glasses and hats ... for effect

So any takers to get in on the ground floor? Shouldn't take much investment to start the first van... then we can franchise after that

It is definitely on an Official Georgia State website, there is nothing hoax about the website this bill is on. Why would the state of Georgia run a hoax on its people? And keep it there...you can get bills for any year off this site for the state, I have checked the site thoroughly. The site is not hoax that this is on.

Basically you are saying the state itself is running a hoax about laws of the state? Wouldn't that be illegal to misinform the public as to laws and bills?

The official site of the Georgia state Senate. Provides biographies, as well as the legislation sponsored by all state senators.

Not to derail the thread -however maybe its not a hoax.

Nevertheless on March 7th, 2007, Engadget posted further images and news of the "weapon" under the title "ID Sniper Rifle fires GPS tracking chip into unwitting humans" despite having denounced it as a hoax three years before.

Sure seems like the money spent to microchip troops could be better spent
does it not?

They could start by using that money to fund a think-tank of auditors to go through and re-negotiate service and supply contracts. For example - in some systems, 5 gigabyte hard-drives are used. At the time of the contract being awarded - those hard drives cost the military, say, $20,000 (keep in mind - the thing was probably built in the 80s).

That hard drive goes out - and we have to replace it, today, in 2012. You can't even find hard drives that small, anymore. Using official supply channels, like you're supposed to, replacing that hard drive would -still- cost $20,000. Supply renegades will get a milspec 80-120 gig hard drive for around $100 and partition it - problem solved.

But you can see where a lot of money can be spent unnecessarily - taking into consideration that things like that happen across many different systems (not just electronics) and occur across the entire armed forces.

I do find it ironic, however, that someone so avidly against government control over one's life (via microchips - of all fanciful things) would actually be so hypocritical as to imply it a good thing for the government to supply an individual with a living.

Why - it's even been said by several people in this thread: "The way the military will force people go get chipped is by threatening to not pay them or put them in jail."

... So, of course, the BETTER idea is to... before said chips are developed... get everyone onto a government-controlled payroll.

Who needs computer chips to control people when you sign their paycheck?

If what the military does in this regard makes the news, then you can rest assured they already did it. The public isn't kept abreast of what the military does AS it does it, it's all after the fact. To believe other wise is just naive.

If what I'm about to link here is in the private sector, and it is, you can bet the military had it's hand in it first. Much of the medical and scientific research it takes to perfect this technology is funded directly by the U.S. military or indirectly by their contractors. Depending on how sensitive in nature it all is.

After all these years of all this stuff going on, I find dark humor in the fact that the military is ALWAYS hand in hand with the medical field to help get what they want out of the type of technology talked about here. The military and medicine have been married for a VERY long time. And precious few people seem to make that connection.
