synesthesia

I was reading this article here: www.abovetopsecret.com... and was doing some research on synesthesia since I have never heard of it. I Taste what I smell. Not like with a vague association as it seems most people do I actually taste it as though I put it in my mouth and was wondering if anyone else experiences this phenomenon. A lot of personal friends and family dont seem to understand how I can smell something and know whether I like it without putting it in my mouth even though time and time again I am reassured when I put it in there and actually taste it. It taste like it smells to the T. Like I said before I know there are normal levels of this phenomenon but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this to the same degree I do.

Yea, im exactly the same, I smell taste with pretty good accuracy, and always immediatily know am I gonna like the new dish. I wouldnt call it synesthesia since taste and smell are bound together and related.

When you taste colours you see, thats a different matter .
