Today sees the first real major battle in the fight between Paul and the GOP establishment.

The Nevada delegates will be chosen at the state convention and whilst we all knew that Ron Paul supporters will be trying to win Romney delegate seats as 'stealth' delegates for Ron Paul, what many don't realise is that it is possible that today they will also force a vote to completely unbind all delegates.

If they do this, and succeed, it means that these stealth delegates can vote for Ron Paul in the first round of the GOP national convention. It will also signal the start of the real strategy - to unbind across the country at the state level, made possible because Ron Paul supporters have taken over many of the senior positions at the state level.

If they fail, then it sets a clear path for Romney. The RNC of course have been doing every thing they can to try and stop Ron Paul, finally resorting to threats against the Nevada electorate.

Without doubt the most fascinating, and important, political fight in recent history.

This is huge. If it works, it may very well be the first domino that tips all the others, or it may stress out the Romney backers such that they bring out their own big guns.

So far RP people are steering clear of the binding rule...

Looking at it from over the pond, I try to get some understanding in the delegates system but it's not something I'm used to. Anyway, the way it looks from my point of view, thats one hell of a chess game the RP people are playing.

Best of luck to them from me. This is fighting the system at the highest level. I hope it sparks over to Europe and we can do the same thing.

I would love to see the snowball start rolling right now...I believe Paul's got some momentum
going with his delegate strategy, or rather his campaign volunteer's strategy.

Gotta love it when the mistreated underdog finally gets an ankle to chew on

This process has shown me that it needs to be overhauled. Why? Because it's deceptive.

I'm sure if RP wins, they will scramble to fix it.

RNC has already sent them a letter stating that if they do this they run the risk of not being seated at the national convention. Here's a link to the actual letter.

process is a mess and it is easy for one person to get two ballots.

It doesn't matter if the delegates are seated or not, if they're not seated then Romney still loses delegates, even if Paul doesn't gain them.

What threats are the GOP making against the Nevada electorate? Do you have a source for any of this?

Romney won 50% of the Nevada votes handly, he took Las Vegas which was a key county. I highly doubt that those delegates will turn against the popular vote and wouldn't blame those who would counter Paul supporters for trying to overturn the will of Nevada votes. I'd also bet my bottom dollar that if Paul had won so handly in Nevada instead of Romney, if Paul got 50% of the vote, and Romney only got 18%, and we have Romney supporters and officials pushing to turn the delegates, would Paul supporters be support of Romney supporters to do this? I doubt it.

It doesn't matter much in the end anyway, Romney is well on his way to gaining the nomination.

UPDATE: Busted on Live Stream - Just minutes ago, Rachael Stephens just blows the lid off the Mitt Romney people cheating by dressing up as Ron Paul supporters with a FAKE delegate badge, and passing out FAKE slates. This is SO third world... then the speaker just flip the bird at everyone? LOL! Here we go again! www.dailypaul.com...

Here is an image of the FAKE delegate slate:

Ron Paul Wins Nevada and Maine, But Mitt Romney Won’t Tell You That
Source: chrisinmaryville.net...

Realizing that Romney will likely suffer the embarrassment of losing the state with the fourth highest Mormon population in the U.S., a threatening letter was recently sent by the allegedly impartial Republican National Convention in an attempt to save face in Nevada. In it, RNC Chief Counsel John R. Phillippe, Jr., seemed to take sides by threatening all of Nevada’s delegates if Nevada Republicans did not show enough support for Mitt Romney.

After a very challenging 2008 election, Paul supporters in Nevada worked hard to take over their state party

Yeah, I was there in 2008 and it was a rigged game. You are probably familiar with the story of what happended at the Nevada Republican Convention in Reno. The Party leadership, discovering that a majority of the delegates were voting for Ron Paul delegates to the National Convention, abruptly and with neither a prior warning nor a motion from the floor, recessed the convention, turned off the lights, and walked out. Sue Lowden, the chairman of the state party, had pulled this same stunt once before back 1998 when Aaron Russo was winning.

Here is how the 1998 Clark County Republican Convention ended:

www.dailypaul.com...

the [Russo] people went crazy. You know -- standing up, standing on chairs, yelling. Nobody was spitting or throwing food, like Kenny alleged. That was just patently not true. But they were.. they were angry. It was like a mob. They stood up -- some of them stood on their chairs -- yelling, "We want a vote! We want a vote! We want fairness! We want …" I can’t remember exactly what they were saying, but basically they were saying, "You give us a vote… You’re not going to do this… You railroaded us, you lied." They kept saying, "Sue’s a liar! Sue’s a liar!"

What I witnessed in 2008 was a repeat performance. Sad. Very sad. But time passed and most people forgot about it. Then nearly 18 months later the missing ballots discovered locked in a casino cashiers cage at the Peppermill. When 25 Republicans gathered at the Washoe County party headquarters to count the ballots. As it turned out the Ron Paul supporters ran away with it, delegate Robert Terhune won the most votes, with 288. Marla Criss and Pat Kerby had 283 votes each. The delegates who actually went to the national convention for the 2nd Congressional District were Michelle Beard, who received 12 votes; Fely Quitevis, who received 19 votes; and Barbara Scoville who received no votes. That proved three delegates supporting U.S. Rep. Ron Paul should have been sent to the 2008 national convention. Things like this happened all over the country to Dr. Paul.

So that is the sad history. What did I learn? I learned the game is rigged, why play poker with people who plan to cheat you every time? I also learned that the motto of these establishment Republicans is this, "we make the rules, we break the rules." Politics is full of snakes and scum.

There is an open letter threatening to disqualify Nevada delegates from the vote in Tampa. That is a direct threat to the electorate to remove their vote. I won't link the letter, as it's been done already.

By the way, you need to do some research on the bound delegate counts for Romney and the rules - I have been for the last few days - it is far from cut and dried. If the bound delegates come into question and are over tunred in 10 or so bound states, Romney is toast - Paul has won. It's on a knife edge at the moment

Here's video proof Mitt Romney's side was cheating.

The first segment has video of one of Mitt's guys caught red-handed running to the police for help
to try to stop the Ron Paul people from filming him. Somebody is bound to be able to recognize him
and come up with a name

It would be great if he indeed was eventually named and we found out that he was a PAID shill.
I personally don't think anyone is passionate enough about Romney to do this kind of thing on their own

These guys are dressing up as Paul supporters and then crashing with fake credentials and passing out
faked voting slates, with people's names misspelled or omitted....If it is found out that they are getting
bussed in and PAID to do this it is over for Romney.

Even without the MSM reporting which you know they won't, the internet is enough to do the job of
taking down Romney's campiagn of deceit and trickery

I personally wrote Nevada off a long time ago when they drove the MOB Run Casinos under; i.e. I hate everything done since the New Vegas was created, miss how I was treated by the Old Vegas when I went their to gamble and truly hate how the New Vegas treats most people like cattle. Whatever the case, it is F Nevada in my book and that includes he rest of the state since Homeland Security turned it into a Police State (Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon ect) but if I was still a Nevada Resident, as I was for a few years in the 70s, I would be pulling out all stops to help RON PAUL and under no circumstance would I or will I be supporting Mitt Romney who is just like Obama at his core..they are both Globalist Front-men. So let me be even more clear, if I have too, I will be writing Ron Paul in on the Presidential Ballot; this time I am voting my conscience.

I think the mainstream news disagrees. I literally haven't seen a single peep in the mainstream media about Ron Paul in WEEKS.

I'm sure some sheeple are wondering if he died or something.
