Russian Flash Mob--Putting On The Ritz--Pure Joy!!!

Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Too bad we humans can't put more energy into stuff like this that produces joy and happiness instead of our usual acts of violence and anger.

This was no "flash mob".
It was heavily practised and coordinated, probably rehearsed many times before that performance.

Students majoring in dance and choreography, travel expenses paid for, political advert for Putin.

the title is "Tsekalo and Puttin' on Sparrow Hills". It was been staged by Alexander Tsekalo, a well-known actor and producer.
This fabulous performance was unfortunately politicized at 5:11 and 5:16 into the video, when the woman in the wedding dress, and the crowd sing, instead of "Puttin' on the Ritz" - "Putin malodets"

None of the flash mobs I've watched were spontaneous. Doesn't mean they aren't fun to watch. This was the best--they really were having fun and it was a joy to watch.

Yes, this wasn't a bunch of amateurs, but so far as I know it's still called a flash mob. And it was nice to see a bunch of civilians and soldiers doing stuff that didn't involve tear gas.

It was very much fun to watch and thank you for sharing this with up OP

Others are right that this was highly choreographed and coordinated and planned but that doesn't disqualify it as a flash mob. Just a high budget flash mob.

Whether or not this has anything to do with Putin I don't know, but I think American politicians would have a lot more approval if this kind of thing happened on their dime.

Too bad 2/3 of the people there were the performers themselves... Kinda takes away the idea of a flash mob.

Loved this one--great to see it again. REally do wish we spent more of our energy and power doing things that make other people feel good. Stuff like this give us a glimpse of how beautiful the world could be if we wanted it to be.

I'm reactivating because this is too good to miss.
