Saw that story, ticked me off! How about the UN starts paying rent, or gets OUT of our country, and either way, gets out of our business? They have no right doing such a thing. besides which, sick to death of people stating that something that happened ages ago means people not even alive then are owed something now for it. That's about as sensible as me traveling to Scotland and demanding back land that was stolen from my ancestors.

Personally i think it's about time that someone brought this issue up and i'm suprised it's never been mentioned before.

Americans are hypocrites, how can they keep calling on China to free Tibet? What gives them the right to say Israel has a right to exist in the middle of palestine?

It's ludicrous when every square inch of land they have has been brutally stolen from Native American Indians. Why shouldn't the americans acknowledge the indians and let a map show that they actually do exist? The next time they start spouting about china or palestine they should think about that.

Is this really the UN telling the U.S. what to do ...or a symbolic gesture calling attention to colonial policies that wrought so much misery and destruction across the world and specifically to the genocide on American soil?

I belive most reasonable, calm folks would vote for the latter option...

I'll bet the UN is doing this all over the world, and anyone who thinks the US is being singled out may be wrong. Here in the US, a native American who calls out for having his tribes land returned may just fall under new terrorism laws and be locked up with no trial. The media would call them insurgents. Soon all protesters will be called terrorists.

Maybe they ought to consider telling us to stop letting in so many people from all around the world before they tell us to give back land to earlier inhabitants. The UN is full of academics who have silly Utopianian ideals that can never be accomplished without causing more misery to everyone. Their goals are Totalitarianism. The creed of the Marxist is 'let us do evil that good may come" and will use any method possible to achieve their goals of a One World Govt.

Likely he and/or others connected to him have their hand in the cooky jar of litigation and have no problem dragging people into it for their profit. I posted before that there are already lots of lawsuits causing landowners in places like New York to lose their properties.
Likely, Utopian liberals and UN bureaucrats have no sense of the chaos which would be created in the wake, or they don't care, or they have some idea in their imagination that it is just unused land sitting around waiting for people to inhabit.

Much like the "Native Americans", Scotland never truly belong to the Scottish people. The Scottish people are IRISH. They immigrated to "Scotland" and wiped out the Picts. Much like The "Natives" wiped out the first Homo Sapiens Sapiens to inhabit North America, a Caucasoid people.

It appears that the Obama admin invited James Anaya(an American who works for the UN interfering in various countries' business with indigenous peoples) and it should not surprise anyone, as Obama needs the votes of the Indian people here. The Democrat Party does this anyway, and are currently trying to win women's votes with their silly shenanigans.

They have even more cameras than we do. The European Union is trying to mess with Britain because Britain didn't go for the Euro and represents a threat. The Brits practically single-handedly kept our tourism alive after 9-11 and I thank them for that. (of course that was years ago, and maybe they hate us now, but I've met some wonderful Brits who care about how their country is turning into the NWO)
Brits are some of the most civil people around, at least when they go to Disneyworld. I hope they keep standing up to the Euro.

Interesting you mention the Normandy Landing. Where were they launched from? Answer....Britain. If Britain had not defeated the Nazi's in WW II at the Battle Of Britain, the landing couldn't have been launched. The only alternative to launch on Europe would have been in the South from North Africa. Hang on, it was The British AGAIn that defeated the Nazi's in North Africa.
