I'm guessing that will superseded any "hell raising" or "civil disobedience" - without that WILL to persevere to the end, whatever comes, hell raising, protesting and rioting are just fads to kill people and tear stuff up.

Without that, you're not really after "change", you're really after smoke, fire. destruction, and some other guy's "stuff", and you're hoping to live to exploit it.

#ing pigs... People need to just start attacking them. There needs to be bloodshed on thier side so that they realize that the people are a formidable force. And that we won't stand for thier abuses anymore.

This is what happens when you stand up to the system. Although we've seen this kind of assault from police before throughout the years, it's only going to become more apparent and severe as time goes on.

Also, I find it extremely shameful to see individuals bash OWS and support the police, especially when it comes to this particular video.

I wonder if this thread would've gotten more flags and support if it was some Tea Party folks getting shot at or arrested for no reason whatsoever.

No sir, this is why the Police will fail. I will never denounce a comment like this. When a small group is abusing a larger group of people and hiding behind the law to get away with it, you will NEVER hear me denounce a comment that suggest you fight back instead of just stand there and take it.

Maybe if you looked at the situation from a different perspective you’d see what’s really going on. Try this…next time you go to an OWS function sit on the sidelines and watch rather than participating. If you are honest enough to look at it from the outside as a spectator I bet you’ll see who the real instigators are. I’ve NEVER been beaten or threatened by a cop and I’ve been to a few protests. watch the police officers move with haste to the corner intersection,and be impeded by the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was attempting to block the response of the officers to the intersection.

These guys are accusing me and others of the same behavior they are guilty of; only seeing things from their own narrow perspective. They want us to focus only on ‘the good’ that OWS has done (though they can’t define it) and completely disregard the repeated violent outbursts. Their friends in black instigate trouble then blame the cops for overreacting. It’s ridiculous IMO!

Show up, hold your sign and chant whatever you’d like! But stop instigating violence to elicit a reaction from LE because this serves no purpose! Those of you who claim to be peaceful should detain the instigators and turn them over to LE (or at least point them out to LE).

I can tell by the negativity towards LE here on ATS that it will never happen. The ‘peaceful ones’ don’t start trouble yet they secretly like to see the trouble makers start crap with the cops. They are guilty by association.

Thanks for the post. It's good to read someone who feels like I. I wound up owing the state $1.00 last year. I didn't pay it and haven't heard anything about it . After we get done protesting by removing ourselves, I'm hoping we've developed effective ways to take care of each other through the wait. I understand tech would be geared toward survival, but I hope we still develop it for communication and recreation.

I beg to differ - it DOES serve a purpose - the same purpose it has served in the history of every communist uprising on the planet. That purpose is to PROVOKE a response, in order to use that response as a catalyst for further uprising by propagandizing it and inflaming the population into an unthinking mass of pissed off.

It's PURPOSE is to create "martyrs" for the cause.

Likewise, their version of the "men in black" are there ONLY to provide a plausibly deniable disconnect between the "violent ones" and the "peaceful protestors". They use their MIB to foment violence, who then fade away leaving the rest to suffer the brunt of the response. Then the OWS PR and press apparatus can point at the MIB and say "naw, that wasn't US! It was those damnable MIB's! We're INNOCENT!" then forward the checks through proxies for a job well done to the MIB's.

They work hand in hand - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, in spite of the claims that they MIB's are "outside agitators" or " government plants". It's textbook, going back before Che, before Mao, probably even before Lenin, and is obvious to anyone who has ever studied up on guerrilla warfare and communist revolution.

Now watch the buzzards descend on this post because I used the "communist" word. So be it. I call 'em like I see 'em, and can't say that I care or worry much about the attempts at academic semantic distinctions that will be made by attempts at splitting out definitions.

So they're allowed to break the law by randomly attacking and injuring a completely innocent person to "prove a point" that they don't like what people are saying to them, even though it's a right for them to say it, and even though they are only saying because of a long stretching history of police brutality and wrong doing, much of which is still fresh from last year.

I could never stand for this excuse they had to prove a point, I believe they should arrest people who are causing damage or harm to others/property, not random people, if they wanted to prove a point why not attack one of the belligerent dudes screaming in their face.

We'll scare everyone to make them stop being mean me us! Yeah we'll show them!" .................... Pitiful............
