Amber Alert issued for 2 girls abducted by Shoreline stabbing suspect

The story doesn't give any details. Like why were the kids with their father.
Parents taking their kids from and estranged spouse happens all the time.
Unless the mother is some kind of deranged the children are not in danger.
This looks to me more like they are using this as an excuse to apprehend the mother, since it is possible that the father may die from the stab wounds. What they really want is their attemted murderer.
