Since the start of this election cycle we've all heard numerous times such things as "Ron Paul is our only hope," or that "He's our last chance," but has any of his supporters actually stopped and considered how he would actually accomplish his goals? As his supporters have pointed out time and again he is different from all the other politicians. And if you believe in the insidious, ambiguous PTB he's pretty much the only politician that is not part of Them. So considering the fact that he hasn't really accomplished any of his goals in Congress where he actually has the power to propose laws how exactly is he supposed to accomplish anything in a position where he doesn't have that authority and the entirety of Congress against him? There is simply no way it could be anything other than the least productive presidency in history. I mean maybe I'm missing something here and if so I would love for some to point it out to me.

As an afterword, I'm not trolling here. I'm actually interested in learning how he could accomplish anything. While I may come off as anti-Paul in threads he's actually the candidate I most like. I just don't support him enough to actually vote for him. One of the big reasons I can't vote for him is because it would be impossible for him to accomplish anything. It seems to me that if the Ron Paul Revolution actually wants to change anything they need to start by winning local elections and eventually getting some of their own into Congress. At that point maybe a President with similar ideas could actually be effective.

The only way I can see him even remotely accomplishing anything is bypassing Congress through executive orders. Of course that would go against his beliefs and is one of the reasons his supporters have so much beef with Obama.

Right, and he has consistently failed to rally his peers behind him. I don't think that will change just because he became president. So with no Executive Orders and not many of his peers backing him it does not paint the future he envisions. What it in fact seems to paint is absolutely nothing getting done in the next 4 years.

Bush1 Painting WAR Clinton Painting S*X and WAR Bush2 Painting WAR Obama Painting WAR.

Seems they all paint the same way except for one.

Wiki list of Tea Party Congressman.

Wiki Tea Party Members

Now, if you want to discuss whether the Tea Party has been hijacked than we can start another thread, but this is as good list as it goes.

Oh no that's where you got them all wrong.
If Ron Paul made illegal executive orders, copies would be enshrined in sealed protective cylynders and placed under every Paulheads' pillow at night. They would hold them as important as the Constitution itself.

Whatever means necessary is the creed they live by.

No, they'd either be infidel sevants of the ruling Califs or be scrubbing the floors on their hands and knees in Chinese mansions for the rest of their lives, IMHO.

Those comments don't translate into "Ron Paul is going to save the world," so I am wondering how we are expected to believe this is not a troll thread.

He has actually stated almost everything you said. He wants to be a weak President. He has stated this many times. He doesn't want to tell the states how to arrange their affairs, nor does he want to sign legislation that adds more laws to the books. This is what is so appealing about Ron Paul. Its not what he plans to do, but what he plans to undue. That undoing is years of progressively more freedom constricting laws signed constantly into law, which over time rob the people of their liberties.
