The 14th Ammendment of the Constitution states he is too a legal U.S. Citizen being born in Florida. I think he would actually be a good choice and would make me consider actually voting for a candidate I think is very weak.

Alexander Hamilton was never President, so his status is irrelevant. He was killed by a Vice President, though, Aaron Burr, in a duel.

To confuse things even more...

For his legendary service during the revolutionary war, the Marquis de La Fayette (Gilbert du Motier), a French hereditary noble and Officer, was granted honorary citizenship by Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Virginia.

But what is really interesting is that the State of Maryland went beyond that and granted him "and his male heirs natural born Citizens".

So it appears there is a precedence of a governor actually granting the title of natural born to a foreign born person.

According to US code, anyone born within the United States is considered a US national and a US citizen. If he was born in Florida, he''s eligible.

People just don't get that there is a difference between "citizen", "native born citizen", and "natural born citizen", You can be one, two, or all three - and only by being all three of those things are you eligible to be President or Vice President of the United States of America, the only one that has remotely been questioned in history being the "native born" status.

It shouldn't confuse at all.

It should go to show and prove, once and for all - that there was most definitely a difference between an ordinary citizen and a natural born citizen, so much so that the man had to be granted the status.

Look at the man granted the title - Gilbert du Motier. He was born in France so he was not Native Born. He was born under two French aristocrat parents who were not American citizens so he was not natural born either.

It was only through his service to the cause that he was given such a distinct honor.

its because there is no real difference between republican or democrats.... they both would like to destroy the constitution..

Just for the record, the Founding Fathers were grandfathered in, as they obviously knew this when they authored the Constitution.
