As science looks more and more at the human body with greater technology, we have begun to come full circle in understanding what the ancients knew about the heart, the brain, and divine consciousness. What is the heart? Is it more than just a pump for blood? Or could the truth about its power be related to the essence of your entire being, and have a field of energy so great that it can transform not just your own being into that of light, love and happiness, but even those around you. What is the shining light of the heart, and how can you access it and gain the inner knowing of who you are and why you are here?

A research institute called heartmath.org has made some revolutionary discoveries. The institute’s Scientific Advisory Board comprises a group of prestigious and internationally recognized leaders in physics/biophysics/astrophysics, education, mathematics and engineering, and cardiology, biofeedback and psychology among other medical disciplines.

It's the recognized global leader in emotional physiology, optimal function, resilience and stress-management research. The center conducts basic research into psychophysiology, neurocardiology and biophysics, and outcome studies in clinical, workplace, educational and military settings, frequently in collaboration with universities, research centers and health-care-system partners. This research has significantly advanced understanding of heart-brain interactions, heart-rate variability (HRV) and heart-rhythm coherence, and the physiology of optimal learning and performance.

Also found this to be interesting, and shows that not only do we have a brain consciousness, but we also have a heart consciousness. WOW.

The Effects of Emotions on Short-Term Power Spectrum Analysis of Heart Rate Variability. This study shows that emotions affect our physical states and suggests that positive emotions could be beneficial in the treatment of conditions such as hypertension and possibly reduce the likelihood of sudden death in patients with congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease.

I think it's because most all most people would rather talk about war. I have to say I am very discouraged that I am the only one interested in putting this information into practice.

Regardless, the information and facts are out there, I'll let people decide for themselves.

I personally think the Scientific Advisory Board is quite impressive. Their accomplishments could fill many threads on their own. Putting them together with one common goal only increases their overall intelligence.

here's a few active researchers:

Abdullah Abdulrahman Alabdulgader, MD, MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin),
Maria Lourdes Arguelles, Ph.D., M.S., B.A.,

John Andrew Armour, M.D., Ph.D.

Cleve Backsterhonorary Ph.D., honorary D.Sc., is a widely recognized polygraph expert who also is known for his experiments with biocommunication in plant and animal cells using a polygraph machine in the 1960s. This work led to his theory of "primary perception." He is currently director of the Backster School of Lie Detection in San Diego, CalifLinda Caviness, Ph.D.,

Murray Gillin, A.M., F.T.S.E., is professor emeritus of entrepreneurship and innovation at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne. Or sane...

hahaha .....it's scientifically proven that there are brain cells that actually stretch down from the brain and into the heart muscle and that the heart gives a larger amount of electro magnetic frequencies of certain amplitudes.

I predicted 10 year ago that science was eventually going to catch up to mysticism and eventually prove the existence of God. Many won't like that. You my friend, will be left in the dust when science and spirituality eventually merge. Its bound to happen and will leave atheism in its dust. Its slowly but surely happening. I love every single article that comes out and begins to form cracks in your doubt.

I got two words for you - Heart Transplant.

If the heart is the center of the person, then how come the person who receives a transplanted heart doesn't become the person whose heart they received. Why do they remain themselves, and with their own memories and personality and sense of self?

It doesn't matter what a video suggests, and it doesn't matter whether 40,000 synapses exist within the heart (not surprising since all nerve transmission activity uses synapses to transmit nerve signals), the overwhelming inference of heart transplant medicine is that the heart is a replaceable organ. And since it is, it's not the center of the person in any sense of what that notion suggests.

Imagine the change in personhood status for people with artificial hearts? Hell, if the heart is the person, then those folks are not people at all. The implications of this "science" are obviously not well thought out.

A human being is a multi-dimensional being. Almost everyone, or at least 99.9% of humanity is operating from the head area, so in a case where someone received a heart transplant, it really would not change much.

Memories, sense of self, & personality is all head based. Love & emotions is all heart based. Interestingly enough, for almost 2000 years now, Orthodox Christianity practices a repetitive form of prayer while focusing all attention & awareness on the middle of the chest. The heart is centered a little to the left as a physical organ. Anyway, once this said center of the chest is activated, it allows access to the deeper aspects of subconscious, emotion, Love, & spirituality.

See above.

Imagine the change in personhood status for people with artificial hearts? Hell, if the heart is the person, then those folks are not people at all. The implications of this "science" are obviously not well thought out.

Yet we do have scientific studies on people who receive transplants of various kinds and all of a sudden have changes to their personality, changes in likes/dislikes, etc. With such phenomenon, we can say that each organ caries a certain amount of its own consciousness.

TO add to the above, not only does the heart organ have certain brain type neurons in it, but so does the gut and the spinal grey matter. Although it is all wired differently.

Carl Jung was once told by a Native American, that pretty much all white folks suffer from a certain kind of psychosis, since they are all head based, as they carry on grasping about in life trying to prove something to themselves and others, rather than being in tune with the heart

This has always been to me, the reason for "Religion". Although now polluted and abused, religion was supposed to be a methodical way for a person to get in touch w/ the heart and the gut, which has always been the source of conscience and intuition. We have general spiritual paths and ways to helps us with that.

But a person lacking this kind of knowledge, will be completely head based (ala logic/reason and nothing else) Thus enter the Atheists/Agnostics... all head based. So when religious folks argue that God is a source of morals, its really not too far off. Seeking God and walking in a Spiritual path, allows that individual greater access to intuition & conscience which give signals on how to act/react which ir prior to head based logic/reason..... Even with logic & reason, we can use those to realize that the heart/gut minds are speaking to us from a deeper place and go with those signals. While without those, using only head based logic/reason, allows too much room for justifications for ill wills toward others, greed, corruption, selfishness, and pretty much the cause of what we see going wrong in the world today.

This stuff runs deep.

here are some other examples of people inheriting new characteristics of their personality after heart transplants.

One woman who believes this to be the case is CLAIRE SYLVIA, a divorced mother of one.
She was 47 and dying from a disease called primary pulmonary hypertension when, in 1988, she had a pioneering heartlung transplant in America.
She was given the organs of an 18-year-old boy who had been killed in a motorcycle accident near his home in Maine.
Claire, a former professional dancer, then made an astonishing discovery: she seemed to be acquiring the characteristics, and cravings, of the donor.
Here, in an extract from her book A Change Of Heart, Claire tells her remarkable story...
