... and people started opening their windows. Hearing their fellow countrymen cry out into the night gave more people the courage to join in. Soon it became a resounding wave throughout cities across the nation, as people stopped seeing each other as white/black/hispanic/asian or catholic/jew/muslim, and started seeing each other for what we really are, human beings who have value.

The people took to the streets marching against all the wrongs on this world. The governments, desperate to maintain some kind of semblance to order locked down on all protests and free speech, inflaming the already angry mobs filling the streets. Chaos ensued and after many lives were lost the smoked cleared. The people had paid dearly for their freedoms but by paying the ultimate price ensured continued freedoms for their children and grandchildren.

People still talk about this day as the 2nd American Revolution. I consider it the day people finally stood up for themselves and said "Enough is enough."
