A report in the New York Times reveals that last year Apple paid $3.3billion tax in its profits of $34.2billion, which is a tax rate of 9.8 per cent.

Wal-Mart by contrast paid $5.9billion tax on a profit of $24.4billion, or 24 per cent tax, a typical rate for a non technology company.

One of Apple’s chief tax avoidance measures in the US was to set up in 2006 a subsidiary called Braeburn Capital - named after the Braeburn apple - in Reno.

Apple has more available cash than the US Government does. They use all means available to them to avoid taxes. They build their products using cheap labor in other countries while hoarding their wealth earned from selling grossly overpriced products, easily sold to those who consider their products and logo a status symbol.

If you are for real, you will right now this second throw your Apple Products on the ground and stomp them into oblivion. You will never again purchase one of their products. Are you for real, or not?

Progressives will also do the same if they are for real and agree with your leaders. Make sure your leaders are not using Apple Products also. If they are, they might be phonies.

No you don't. You can purchase products made by companies that are not the poster child for what you claim to be against. If you don't, your not for real. If you take money from the 1% your not for real. That means you take money from any group funded by the Progressives in the 1%, your not for real.

You willingly accepted the Anarchists into your ranks. How do you feel about the Anarchists who were going to blow up a bridge and kill people for attention? They still welcome members of Occupy?

Don't the people who are not part of Occupy have Rights also? So, why block them from using streets, bridges and public area's or in some cases from even going to work to feed their families? Is it that only what you want, and only your rights matter? It sure seem to be the case.

Why are all those funding you also involved with getting Obama reelected. Obama is not only in the 1%, he's in the POTUS club of the most powerful men on earth. If that's not the 1%, your not for real.

I like Apple about as much as I like the phony Occupy Movement. Their insane profit margin, way higher than that of the Oil Companies, is proof they could build their products in Free countries and pay decent wages if they chose to. Apple is like the fake Progressive Celebrities who got stinking rich embracing one the most capitalistic of professions and then pretend they are against Capitalism.

So just because Apple has money nobody should use their products. Makes sense.

Harvard has almost as much money as Apple so does that means no one should attend Harvard?

No, I'm saying if the Occupiers are using their products and enriching them, they can't possibly believe what they claim to believe. Apple is the poster child for what they claim is wrong.

Of course Apple is simply a successful, well managed company, but I'm not the one out in the streets stomping all over everyone elses Rights while pretending to be something I'm not.

They go after the Oil companies ignoring their profit margin is low compared to companies they ignore and pay far more in taxes as a percentage.

I think the Occupiers are mostly bored radicals who happened to pick this cause. If it were not there they would pick another. That and they only apply their beliefs to those they wish to dictate too, while ignoring the 1% they approve of who share their tiny minority views.

They scream for their own Rights while they knowingly deny the real majority their Rights. I've been watching them since I foolishly joined in with them in the 1960's when I was a very stupid young adult. They don't seem to be aware they are owned by a small group of people who control them from behind the curtain. They are pawns and shills who have blinders firmly in place. All of their planned activities for the next few months will be carefully orchestrated by the 1% in the radical progressives corner. You take their money, they own you. It is that simple. The Unions will also use them up to enrich a few at the top.

I'm cool with the honest folk who got involved not knowing this was set up to control them. They meant well. Now it's time for them to walk away as they have no support anymore and are quickly becoming servants for the corrupt Unions and the things like the Obama Campaign.

I hate to add anything to how you feel but I believe Apple markets a little differently around the world. Specifically, not everyone is paying the same hundreds in US Price tag. I think our insane pricing here is what Apple thinks of as the subsidy for all the other markets who can't afford it. Like our prescription drugs.

Redistribution of gizmos.
