hello ATS, juniorchubbs here, reporting from the north east of the uk, near to newcastle, sunderland and durham.
i have lurked since around 2008 which is when the recession hit hard here and i lost my job, which gave me plenty of time to think long and hard about 'things'. a friend suggested i watch zeitgeist, which i did - and the follow ups which came after it. Since then it seems i took the pill and woke up to the real world around me. i am back in employment but obviously after becoming enlightened to the world around me, my heart is just not in it as i can see the waste of resources, time and effort that goes into this life we have been conditioned to accept as real.

i don't recall how i came across ATS but somehow i did and i am grateful for it as the threads, replies and links to other websites and sources of info have been extremely informative.

anyway, enough of my ramblings as most of you probably have the same story.

i'm a long time believer that we are not alone in the universe, governments are not here to serve the people, corporations use us as commodities and as a result, the time is ripe for a massive, world wide change.

i am looking forward to being part of ATS and hope to be part of the coming change for the good of the people.

jnr.

seems like things never change.....www.youtube.com...
edit on 1-5-2012 by juniorchubbs because: thought i'd add a little song to sum up how i feel about things.......

Hi and welcome from one lurker to another.
Don't think I've ever heard of "zeitgeist" will have to check it out.
I really have enjoyed reading the threads and checking out the links here, also getting different perspectives on whats really going on in the world. Have learned a lot since I've been here.
A year ago I probably wouldn't have cared what was going on elsewhere but now that I know what I know.....wow, what a difference a year makes.
Once again, welcome

Welcome to ATS!

I understand you completely, but try not to let it drag you down. I felt that way for a short period of time after I started "waking up". I got over it by becoming more active in local/state issues - voting for/against laws, peaceful protests, and simply informing other locals about topics that will affect them. Learning some skills that are necessary to survival have helped me too - fishing, hunting, tracking. It's empowering.

I just try to handle the things I can, and leave the rest to the fate of the Universe - She'll do what she wants anyway...

Nice to have you on board!
